Chapter 2 - Be Careful!

At noon, Mr. Rivon and other C.E.Os left. Seo-Yeon's office was renovated a week ago. It has a luminous, almost pristine aura. Light flooded through the wall full of glass behind the desk. You can get a peaceful view of the butterfly garden from here. Above all of it was Seo-Yeon sitting in the middle, signing some documents while her coat draped over the back of her chair. To the right, the nameplate "Kim Seo-Yeon" was deeply carved into the brushed metal, the edges catching the sun like a blaze. Not a single whisper can be heard, so peaceful and calm.

The office door thudded open, revealing a young lady in a black suit. Her eyes creased as she smiled, turning the room's vibe. "Yeon-ah!" She exclaimed while wide-opened her arms. "Ji-Min!" Seo-Yeon mumbled, and her eyes sparkled. She got up and wrapped her arms around Ji-Min's waist.

Park Ji-Min, CEO of Park Tech Corporation, is one of the top 5 Tech companies in Korea. She's the only cousin and childhood friend of Seo-Yeon. She's engaged to Seo-Yeon's brother, Kim Yoo-Han. But her priority is always Seo-Yeon.

"It's been so long. I missed you so much!" Seo-Yeon exclaimed, bouncing on her toes. "Do you? Then why didn't you come back?" Ji-Min rolled up her eyes dramatically. Seo-Yeon turned away and crossed her arms on her chest, "As you don't know?" She puffed out her cheeks in frustration. "Ok, I am sorry! I know...I know." Ji-Min hurried after her and gently crossed her arms around Seo-Yeon from behind. She gently put her chin on Seo-Yeon's shoulder. "Yeon-ah wants to have some ice cream?" Seo-Yeon's eyes light up. She nodded twice, her cute, bubbly smile widening.

 Jeon Mansion, (on 11:14 p.m)

Jeon's mansion was shimmering under the moon. Motionless guards are lined up on every side. Black luxury cars of various brands are parked outside. The entire palace is shimmering silver, except for the room whose window faces the garden side, where a faint light peeks through.

Cheeeeeee! The bathroom door creaked open.

Jeon-woo stepped out, wearing a long bathrobe, brushing the ground. He shrugged it off and tossed it across the black, King-size bed. The next moment, he stood near a half-opened window in white pajamas. A glass of Red wine in his hand was glimmering under the moonlight. From sheets to shelves and lamps to door handles, all were whispers, secrets.

A sharp flash from the bookshelf reflected on his glass and caught his eye. "Ama!" Jeon-woo shouted, stepping near the bookshelf. A young beauty in a maid uniform entered the room. "Greeting, Master!" she said, bowing a little. But her jaw dropped when she saw Jeon-Woo in pajamas. An angel who had lost his wings. She gazed as if she was stripping him. "Who are you?" Jeon-Woo asked, glared at her, "What are you doing here?" He shouted, instinctively stepping forward. An angel vanished, a devil appeared. His sharp gaze made the young beauty step back.

"I... you just called." She mumbled, stepping back. He lifted his right brow, "Are you Ama?" said in a cold voice. Beauty kept silent. "WHO THE HELL PERMITTED YOU IN THIS ROOM?" Jeon-Woo growled and smashed the glass on the ground. A lady in her 40s entered the room, wearing a white uniform with her name badge, Ms.Song. "Young master, is everything ok?" she asked, but seeing the young beauty and broken glass, she gasped. "I am sorry... It's my negligence."She bowed twice, "Throw out this thing!" Jeon-Woo scoffed.

Ms.Song grabbed her arm and took her out. "I instructed you not to enter this room. Didn't I?" Ms.Song said sharply. Beauty clasped her hands together."I heard a noise, I thought he wanted something." Her tone was gentle and warm. Ms.Song, the Head of servants, is Jeon-woo's granny. She has been taking care of Jeon-wo since he was 7. She glanced at the young beauty's hands and sighed. "No staff member is allowed inside. I handle this room myself." Ms.Song left no room for argument. "Now, go and pray that he'll calm down." Ms.Song turned and left.

Beauty stomped, "Why would I pray? I got what I want." She pulled out a USB from her pocket and smirked.

Later that same night, a man in black dumped a dead body near the Holigon Bar. The thud echoed through the valley. One of the men crouched and pulled out a USB from the dead body's pocket.

"Tsk." He clicked his tongue in annoyance and placed Id card and a chain back in the pocket. As it was a message or a warning for someone. Then they vanished in the dark like they was never there.

A calm morning breeze entered Seo-yeon's room. She was standing on the balcony in black pajamas, surrounded by fluttering butterflies. Ms. Kim lived in an apartment before, but since Seo-yeon chose to come back, she shifted everyone to the Kim mansion. Kim's mansion holds many childhood memories for Kim's siblings. There's a butterfly garden specially made for Seo-yeon. That garden has seasonal flowers blooming the whole year.

At 8:00 a.m., Seo-yeon's alarm rang, and she turned to the bathroom. By 8:20 a.m., her room door opened, and she walked down the stairs, dressed in a cream suit, fitted, sharp, and elegant.

"Good morning, baby!" An elderly maid greeted her warmly as she served food to Ji-Min. Seo-Yeon smiled and took her seat. "So, what's the plan?" Ji-Min asked. "What plan?" Seo-yeon took a sip of warm latte. "You are going to work with Jeon's," Ji-Min said in a calm tone. Seo-yeon hummed in reply. Ji-Min placed a fork on the plate. "Also, Mr.Woo is the head of this project," she straightened. "You know him?" Seo-yeon asked, focused on eating. Ji-Min got up and grabbed her phone, "Not personally... but the community has some rumours." She placed her hand on Seo-Yeon's shoulder and smiled, "Be careful!"

She left Seo-yeon in deep thought. Rumors? He's suspicious, though. But what matters is the outcome og this deal, and I'll make sure that I hit it. She dialed a number, "Hello, trace the background of Jeon's."
