Seo-Yeon closed her eyes and leaned against the chair, recalling the contract. Pages, clauses, and signatures. She shut and opened her eyes.
"Tsk!" she clicked her tongue, grabbing Jeon-Woo's attention.
"I underestimated you, Mr.Woo," she said, locking stares with Jeon-Woo. He raised his brow, not aware that he was messing with the wrong person. Seo-Yeon stood.
" Eight-page contract." She picked up the file, moved towards him, "On page five, there were only seven clauses, and half the page was empty. At the bottom right corner of the page, I signed."
She handed the file to Jeon-Woo and leaned closer, staring intently.
"It means that you made an unauthorized alteration?"
Jeon-Woo stumbled back, not in fear but in surprise. How could she recognize these small details? Normally, a CEO wouldn't even bother to read. Jeon-Woo cleared his throat.
"Ms. Yeon, you shouldn't unjustly blame a pure soul like me." He maintained his cool aura. Seo-Yeon laughed and replied, and turned away.
"Mr. Woo, no use. She has an autobiographical memory." Suzy intervened.
"Shit!" Jeon-Woo cursed his fate. Of all people, she had to have that syndrome. The business world ruled by him has a volunteer now. Add more lines here. His background, rumors, and today's action were enough to declare him a spoiled illegal brat in her eyes. Jeon-Woo tilted his head and took a step forward,
"Now you know, then let's come to the point!" He said in a dark tone. Seo-Yeon moved towards his chair, "Is there something left, Mr. Woo?" She asked with a straight face. Jeon-Woo sat across from her.
"Aurora Project is worth a lot to me, and your presence is required... don't make us ask twice," Jeon-Woo replied, his voice so cold that it sent a shiver down the guard's spine.
"Are you threatening me, Mr. Woo?" She narrowed her eyes and continued, "You know that I can sue you?"
Jeon-Woo chuckled, but the air felt tight, "If I can alter the international contract... do you really think getting me in court is that easy?" He rested back on his seat and crossed his legs.
There was an awkward silence in the room. But Seo-Yeon was also a stubborn citizen. She stood at once, "If I have to, I'll approach the International Court, but I'll never follow the terms of a brat like you!" Seo-Yeon shouted. This was the first time she said what was truly in her heart. 'A brat!' He was indeed, but hearing on your face hit different.
Jeon-Woo stood up and moved towards the door, "You will come! Not today, but tomorrow. Jeon Empire's doors are open for you." He said with a smirk and left.
He left Seo-Yeon in deep thought. She asked Suzy to leave. For a second, everything repeated in Seo-Yeon's mind, she grabbed her head and shut her eyes. Air started to feel tight, so she loosened the first button of her shirt. Everything around her started closing in. The room echoed with unknown laughs. She hurriedly grabbed a bottle from the drawer and took two pills. Her hands were still trembling, but her body became numb. She rested her head against the chair and closed her eyes.
"You know what to do!" Jeon-Woo said, looking at Jung.
In Park Tech, Ji Min knocked at Mr. Park's cabin. "Come inside!" A heavy voice came from inside. As she stepped in, her body froze. She wasn't expecting this: His father and Yoo Han were having afternoon tea together. Mr. Park had a clean, reputable, and soft image in the industry. He's a man in his 40s, dressed in a black suit, with neatly styled hair and a warm smile. Not a slight wrinkle on his suits, nor his face.
"Pa! I want..." Ji Min stopped. She forgot what she came for.
"See, I told you that she'll be shocked to see you here." Mr. Park chuckled. Yoo Han smiled back and turned to Ji Min.
She stepped towards Mr. Park and placed a file in front of him.
"It's not that, Pa. I was here to discuss..." but was interrupted by Mr. Park. "Discuss it later," he closed the file and continued, "Yoo Han is here. Both of you should go and have lunch together."
Ji Min slightly peeked at Yoo Han, who showed no reaction. "Pa, he must've..."
"Ok," Yoo Han said. Suzy shut looked at him. Did he eat something weird? When I asked him, he had practice. Now Pa said, so he's free.
Yoo Han stood up, "Let's go, Ji Min." He said politely. Ji Min looked at Mr. Park and left with him.
Yoo Han booked a table at the Royal Hotel. It was perfect for family dinners, bouquets, and a date. Silk Red curtains hung around golden pillars, Chandelier lighting glowed faintly yellow, and a red carpet at the entrance gave royal vibes.
A waiter bowed and placed a fresh rose in a vase. It was their task to impress the customer.
"Stop. Change rose into sunflower." Yoo Han said softly, but face remained deadly straight.
The waiter was stunned at first, but then nodded, removing the rose. Yoo Han was looking at the menu while Ji Min was staring at him, lost in her thoughts.
You changed your suit more than your expression. You pay attention to small details but never bring up love matters. The easy Seo-Yeon is to understand; the harder you are.
"You have a menu in front of you, or do you want this one?" Yoo Han asked, peeking through the menu. Ji Min was startled by getting caught. She hurriedly grabbed the menu, blushing behind it.
Even though Yoo Han was persistent, small acts were enough to make Ji Min fall head over heels.
At 9:45 p.m., Seo-Yeon's car was ready to go home. Seo Yeon was about to get in, but her phone buzzed.
Caller ID: Ji Min
She received her call and moved a few steps away. Suzy opened the door to take the driver's seat when she noticed a red light flickering on her black shoes. She moved a step back, her eyes widened.
"Ms. Yeon!" Suzy threw herself toward Seo-Yeon.
*Boom!*
The car's mirror was busted and covered in fire. The black Audi became scraped within seconds.
Seo-Yeon's body went numb, covered in blood. Suzy lay lifeless on her. She tried to move but couldn't. Her vision was blurry.
"Yeon-ah! Ms. Yeon! Take her to the hospital!" Multiple whispers were heard. The last thing she saw was the red and blue lights of an ambulance.
