I've always been the *content* type, never aspired to do much...only had attainable dreams..., honestly that's just an excuse I'm actually just really lazy, ... I've never put more energy than I needed to at anything... It's probably the main reason I died that time, ..Yep!.. you didn't read that wrong, it was a starless night sky, Everyone always warned me about late night walks, but i never listened, cuz I'd never experienced anything strange,... Until that night at least ...

I closed my book, "why are you reading about the family anyway?, aren't you bored"... "Hun?" ... I turned to my lil brother Theo "I'm never bored, but we should be getting to breakfast" I hopped down from the willow branch I laid, reaches out a hand to Theo "shall we?" With a smile, he quietly took my hand and stood up "you didn't answer my question" avoiding my eyes like the shy and cute lil thing that he is... I chuckled softly "cuz I'm learning about myself, I was hoping to find ancestors like me... That's all" I patted his head "okay!" He beamed with a bright smile, and started running towards the exit of the garden. this garden is my favorite place in this house.. it's quiet, breezy, and calming, the perfect place for a lazy soul like me... I slowly strolled after Theo....
(It still upsets me abit tho, to think I lost my life to a homeless mob, at a stupid tug of war no less!), I feel my eyes shimmer... "Oh shit" that's right I'm not my old self anymore, I reincarnated into a completely new world!.

The HAMPTONS, my new family... It's easier to call them that now that it's been so many years, after I died .. I woke up as a child to a couple who've been trying to conceive for over a decade, my new family had a magical history ... The children of Hampton only ever had either Golden or White hair, and also Green or golden eyes, Father had Crystal Green eyes and White hair .. he was a Powerful Mage. Mother had no powers, I had three other siblings, identical twins (Gia & Mia) they both have golden hair & golden eyes, and of course Theo, he looked like a younger version of father.. everyone had a specific magical power of their own. The twins had elemental abilities, Theo's was still to be discovered,on the other hand i was abit different, every once in quite a while a special child is born into the family... with abilities far surpassing even the greatest of Priests and Mages, they're recognized by their different hair and eye color... and this time around.. I'm that child, I'm the only one who wasn't thrilled about it. I had wavy long red locs, as for my eyes.. they're quite complicated.
"is it just me or..." I stop in my steps"quiet she'll hear" and turned to Gia & Mia, these two are always together.. "what's it now?" I asked. "Oh nothing, Gia was saying the green in your eyes was looking lighter than usual... I wanted to see up close" Mia smirked "I told her not to bother you with such useless nonsense... I was just worried about you.... " Gia was a naive lil thing... I'm probably as fond of her as I am of Theo... Only problem is Mia, she'd never leave Gia alone for a second, and Gia would never betray Mia... Peas in a pod those two. "ohh this..." I smile reassuring her "I'm probably just abit excited from reading so much" .. Mia glares at me "let's go Gia" grabbing Gia's hand "Father and Mother are probably waiting at the breakfast table already" as they walk passed me, " Hm.."

I finally arrived at the dinning hall, everyone had already began their meal, except Theo.. he'd always wait for me, "Did you wait long?" As I flipped over his plate "no" he replied "I'm sorry for making you always wait so long" serving him some veggie soup "it's alright, you're just slow," everyone turned to me (this kid just insulted me, and his too oblivious to even notice) " haha.. I guess you're right" forcing a smile, "you two make me gag so hard I'd die" Mia said rolling her eyes "aww are you jealous" i smirked, sitting upright.. Mia scoffs as if offended "jealous!, you wished" glaring, I just laughed "Ahem!" we all turned to mother "Iris, father has something to tell you" turns her gaze to father"Dear." (Father had been quiet the entire time, which is unusual for him, something must be bothering him... But what's that got to do with me?).."yes father?" Father was still looking down at his food "em... It'll be the late Emperor and Empress's memorial ceremony in a few days, your mother and I usually go together, but... I'll be occupied on the said day, so as heir.." (Oh nononono, I know where this is going) He turns to Mother "I had hoped you'd accompany your mother in my stead" smiles softly "shit" Mumbles to myself "it's completely up to you of course, you don't have to if it makes you uncomfortable" Mother said looking at me so endearing "but I'd love to have you Iris" (liars, they're practically begging me to attend, looking at me like little babies.. aren't you two even ashamed ).

I sighed "okay father" i turned to Theo... (to think this one who dotes on me the most, is fated to kill me) I smirked "This would be a great chance to introduce you to his highness" Mother exclaimed, I forced a fake smile "yes mother". We finished the meal without much talk, My siblings left for their daily lessons and I went for mine, my curriculum consisted of many subjects, like Global Communication, Accounting, History, Politics, unending etiquette lessons and sooo much more... I was keeping up just fine though, didn't have a choice in the matter, it was the deal, when I first realized my situation, my first course of action was to avoid getting married to the prince at all cost, it was easy enough.. since original Iris was actually the one who asked for the marriage and since her ability was what sealed the deal .. I just had to become my family heir and refused to have any magical training, I only studied enough to have sufficient control over it, it wasn't easy to get father's approval of course, since talent like mine only came along every other century, but he eventually gave in, only after I made a deal "I will only allow give in to your request if ... you become excellent in every other resolve" hence my centence began.
"ahh" I sighed heavily as I scribbled on my text, "are you bored?" my dashing tutor asked "Hun.. n-no," i laughed "i just have a bit on my mind" he sat up on his seat "should we... maybe postpone the test?" I felt his intent eyes on me.. he had a habit of observing me, over the year I'd come to find comfort in his gaze "what color are my eyes right now?" I looked up at him "Er... golden brown" i chuckled.. " no wonder.. how long have they been that shade? " (This is embarrassing) "About fourty minutes" sir Karlot was one of my favorite teachers, he was handsome in an ordinary way, with brown hair and brown eyes, he impressed me in a way I couldn't quite put my finger on, "there's no need for to postpone sir karlot, I'm perfectly fine" smiles.
But these eyes!, it's hard to understand how eyes that reveal my feelings with out my consent are a blessing , they've only ever been a nuisance my whole life, eyes that change color according to how I feel, Blue for sadness, Yellow for happiness, Red for love, and Green for Content, or as the twins call it *poker*, the deeper the shade, the stronger the feeling (An absolute nuisance),orange usually meant anxious or paranoid depending on how deep the shade, and right now I'm definitely anxious. . . "What's on your mind then" He said grabbing a chair and sitting in front of me "if you wanna share" his gaze wasn't shifting at all "The imperial family memorial.., Mother wants me to attend, and possibly introduce me to the prince".
