Synopsis
“Wait—why did my channel tags change to #tragedy and #system?!” “Cause that’s exactly what people want!!!” “That’s not what you promised me!” Yuzen realized he had made a deal with the devil. And then—he was suddenly transmigrated into the world of his own channel! AnWorld Channels are live video streams that follow a single protagonist’s life from a fixed POV. Channel Owners can alter events using Loens donated by viewers. Yuzen’s channel, which was supposed to be #romance and #sliceoflife, had changed overnight to #tragedy, #system, #gate, #dungeon, #psychological. A notification lit up from his watch: [Notification to Channel Owner: Your MC is in danger! Use Loens to change his fate. Remember, if your MC dies, your channel ends too!]

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t.

Yuzen didn't know how things had gotten to this point.

["No, no, no, no... Why did this happen? What did you do, God?! Why, why, why?!"]

Yuzen had used the channel booster item from the TowerLord last night before he fell asleep.

He thought it was kind of like boosting his channel toward the trending page. But what he saw in the morning left him speechless.

The tags of his channel had changed into #tragedy #system #dungeon #psychological #gates.

Now the MC on his channel was crying tears of blood, cursing the world as his childhood sweetheart died in front of him.

Yuzen's trembling hand accessed the hovering holographic window from his watch. He quickly dialed TowerLord.

The call connected.

"Oh, Yuzen. What is it?"

"M-My channel!"

"Oh, I saw your channel. Whew... nasty tags, aren't they?"

"W-Wait... you said it would boost my channel, you didn't say anything about changing the tags!!"

Silence at first. Then a small laugh turned into a maniacal laugh.

"Yuzen! Hahaha, how cute. Of course it's going to change the tags. How can your boring channel be boosted up unless the category itself changed?"

"What? What do you mean?! That's not what you said before!"

"Hahahaha! Yuzen, your boring channel is not even good enough to play in the background to fall asleep."

The voice on the other line grew harsher.

"Don't you know what people want? Tragedy! Blood! They want a fast-paced story! How long until something even remotely interesting happens in your old channel?"

"Is this what you did to your channel too?!"

"No."

A pause. Then a low, cold voice.

"I've done much... much... more."

Yuzen realized he had made a deal with the devil, not the angel he thought before.

"Well, congrats, Yuzen! You got what you wanted—now your channel might even have a chance to rival mine!"

Click.

The call panel in front of him flickered and vanished.

Yuzen sat on the edge of his seat, staring at the projected scene of his channel.

Oh God... What have I done...
