In modern times, in the year 2050, the world has been changed by a mysterious energy that mutated monsters and beasts. This all started in the year 2000, when Rifts suddenly appeared, releasing monsters, beasts, and powerful species into the world. Humanity's most powerful weapons didn't work on these monsters. As the number of people rapidly decreased, humanity began to lose hope.
Then, some people awakened special abilities through a mysterious system. Nobody knows where the system's energy came from, but it helped people survive and gave them the power to protect the planet from total destruction.
Over time, many changes occurred in the world. The size of the Earth itself increased to 1,000 times its original size, as natural energy adapted to support the survival of new and powerful living beings.
The Earth is now divided into five major regions.
At the center is the Human Territory.
Surrounding it are four other regions: Demons, Angels, Elves, and Monsters.
The Angel race acts as a neutral force, while the Elves have a peace contract signed with humans. The Demons, however, are always seeking a chance to conquer the human world. Each of these three races is ruled by a powerful King.
The monster region, however, is different. It has no king and covers the largest area of all. Even the rulers of other races fear to go deep into the monster lands, because even they do not have the power to confront the terrifying creatures that dwell in the deepest parts.
The Human Territory is divided into many regions depending on resources, environment, and materials.
Currently, I live in the country of Lugia. Compared to other human regions, Lugia is close to the monster lands and has a much larger territory. However, because of this, monsters frequently rampage here. Lugia is less developed than other areas, and most people here are commoners or low-class hunters.
My name is Jule, and I live with my mother and younger sister. My father died during a hunter's adventure when I was 10 years old. After his death, my mother started working hard to cover our expenses and home supplies. I also took up part-time jobs as an electrician to help support our family.
Compared to others, my part-time jobs are very important because they help pay for my younger sister's college fees. I have read many kinds of books related to electricity and repairs, and I am famous as an electrician in my village.
However, even with my income, we barely have enough money for daily supplies. Almost all of our money is consumed by me and my sister's education, as we both study in a famous college. This college provides opportunities for a better future, as powerful guilds often come to recruit talented students during the Awakening Process.
Tomorrow is the college's Awakening Day.

Today, the sun rises and the skies are clear with scattered clouds. My sister Alena and I walk together and then take a taxi. In modern times, taxis and most vehicles are powered by monster cores, as fuels are no longer used due to the high efficiency and performance of monster cores. The taxi we are riding uses the lowest grade core — Grade G.
"Jule, what are you thinking about? And don't forget to give me something tomorrow after your awakening," Alena says with a bright smile.
Our relationship is very close, even more than a normal brother and sister.
"Alena, what do you want to say to me? Whatever it is, I'll get it for you," I reply while holding her hand warmly.
Alena blushes in embarrassment but doesn't pull her hand away. She murmurs softly, "That's a secret. After the awakening, I'll tell you."
Soon, we arrive at the Dragon College gates and part ways.

The college is so massive that it resembles a city. Students from many surrounding cities come here to study. Most of them are rich, unlike me, whose entire salary is barely enough just for education.
My dream is to reach A-Class or even S-Class rank, then live a peaceful life with my family.
But dreams are never easy to achieve.
During lunch break, I am bullied by some of my classmates because of my poor family background.
The leader of the bullying group is a boy named Tony, who is also the sports champion of our college and one of my classmates. His father is the CEO of a famous company, giving Tony a strong background that even teachers fear to confront.
He bullies me every day for three main reasons:
1. I have no background or family power.
2. I am the topper in written exams.
3. The biggest reason — my girlfriend.
Tony is jealous because I am considered one of the most handsome students in the college, and many boys, including him, envy me for that.
