Chapter 1 - New Beginnings

In a desolate land, filled to the brim with dust and gravel, where the wind blows like a surging tsunami, a frail existence woke up. It was a small organism in the shape of a rat, endlessly walking in the world of nothing, searching for anything.

As if sensing its presence, the world sends its wind higher, to blow harder, sending it into orbit!

'Poor rat. '

Although i have no intention of saving it, i do feel slightly bad. Moving on, we have another rat coming in from behind. Ah rats, a sign of human life! Ratting every rat in town!

'Rat, rat rat rat? Ratatatatouiiiile!

What the heck? That sounds like a movie' I thought as I took one of the rats and threw it around "gently".

"Stop messing around, Jay. What are you doing with that hamster? We have a mission to do," said the oh so great and mighty Crent... We have terrible names don't we? His massive metallic body shook a little as if sensing my thoughts.. hey he doesn't have the ability to read minds, does he?

We are currently on a mission to find any signs of human life, on earth, where you can find human life, easily, very, easily..?

"Yeah, yeah, let's go," I said, and regrouped with them.

Suddenly, the wind blew as if a rocket passed by, sending all the dust to my face and the rats to the sky. Ah, my other friend is here.

"What did you find?" I asked, expecting good news, of course, he should have found a big city nearby..

"Nothing."

"..what?"

His words.. were a cold-hard fact, stopping me on my tracks in insanity, and forced me to accept the horrible truth.

"Ah, well i can't find anything around us. It seems according to our map, we are in 'Americo'. However, other than the hamsters you've thrown around, i couldn't sense any other intelligent lifeforms."

With those words, my last hopes vanished. From the moment we arrived, there was no artificial light seen from outer space nor when we entered the atmosphere. I lied even to myself, and i still couldn't believe it.

Ah, well.. "We're only here for clean-up anyways, let's complete our commission as fast as possible" I said with a dead tone.

My teammates, sensing something was off, didn't pry further and only nodded to my suggestion.

Turro and I climbed on Crent's gigantic body and started to travel. Oh, the fast guy? He's Turro.

'As for why he's not walking..' I turned to see Turro, sitting looking far into the distance behind us. How melancholic, this scenery would've been.. if he wasn't dead asleep.

A few minutes later, we encountered a humanoid living.. no.. being, wearing worn-down modern clothing, walking towards a random direction senselessly. It was quite the horrific sight for someone like me, but Crent dealt with it in a flash. Despite their human appearance, they only looked like dolls. It's really creepy actually. The only time I've seen something like that is when my grandpa died from a truck accident and i took a peek inside his coffin.

'I guess the whole world has succumbed to the zombie apocalypse.'

I looked at the wide expanse, a grey field with barely any plant life, or any life. Though grim, it, ironically, filled me with excitement. The dusty wind is really pissing me off though.

Vwoooosh...

'Ah this..'

Shining bright lines of light filled the space around me, forming a shape of a bow. Another, formed an arrow. Turning it into a bright red orange, whistling wind and sparks, i transformed it into fire and shot a 10m long arrow made of fire into the sky.

BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM

"Hey.. you know that's just gonna make the air even more dusty, right?" said Crent.

'How the hell does he know what I'm thinking again??'

"Ah well, it doesn't matter, atleast my frustration has been released," I said with a relaxed tone, not knowing this was the beginning of our troubling mission.

Turro flinched suddenly and woke up, saying, "Hey guys, i think i can hear the volcano nearby rumbling.."

Ah, Turro, how reliable.

With great speed, he ran the other way, blowing all the dust away, mostly to me. Ah, how reliable.

"TURRO, YOU MOTHERFUUCKERR" I yelled as I blasted the Explosive Arrow, multiple times per second to launch myself in his direction.

When we weren't able to see the volcano much anymore, Turro finally stopped, and I too stopped, however, the speed in which i am flying is not slowing down.. uh oh. Thankfully, he caught me with his two hands just in time, ah yes our reliable Turro is here...

His hand slipped. And i flew.

..I guess our adventure will have to start with all of us separated.
