How does a baby feel being born.. does being birthed again cause a scar or mark a new beginning? that's what came up in my mind when i saw that bright light, how could i be born but also be conscious.
i saw and felt glimpses in the few seconds i saw that light, glimpses that act as deja vu.. or recollection perhaps? nonetheless, this feeling is weird.. its excruciating being extracted like this.
In my glimpses i saw it, the scribbles.. a language written on miniature glowing walls.. i remember the symbols.. (O) for Oxygen.. (H) for Hydrogen, they can form to Become (H2o) Representing 2 Hydrogen molecule.. and 1 Oxygen molecule, it all combines to Water.. but then why do i know this..
Who is it i am, this person staring at the composition of elements, or am i this baby in the middle of being birthed.
as im finally taken out of the darkness, i glance at the faces the lamps dimly light, the beautiful woman lying weak and frail as she smiles at me..
the stern and imposingly fitted man staring at me calculatingly, and a group of.. priests?
as i finally get to glance around and move my head, my vision blurring less and less as i fully awake i view it all, Five people including the beautiful woman and stern man, but then two priests and an old man are assessing me.
after a couple of minutes the priests and old man leave and its only the stern man and the beautiful woman remaining.
They begin speaking in a language i cant quite pinpoint from what i know from my current "Glimpses" but it seems the discussion is heated.
Ill be taking you very quickly off course from the storyline to give you clarity on the language. This language is native to the "Empire of Grynollis" as well as several minor nations we will get to explaining in-depth later on in the Novel.
The language is a pretty interesting mix of Semito-Latin, meaning it mixes Semitic Languages like ' Arabic, Hebrew, Assyrian ' with Latin Languages that are ' Italian, French, Spanish, Portugese, Romanian (Disputed but wtv), and finally the dead Original Latin" with the last being a dead language that has long since passed in real life.
The language specifically adds the way of easily being able to create multiple words in the languages, therein producing a large vocabulary like Arabic but then the grammar and writing patterns are simpler and more easier to get a grip on, therefore producing easily readable and written words.
though due to that partial similarity to Arabic introducing a wider alphabet with more words than real life English and giving much harder pronunciations which means that there will be harder understanding if you try learning the language just from gauging the speech. this is simply clarification to help you all understand the world im creating better.
As they start i begin to to listen-in and try to understand.
the language is just too fast-spoken for me to actually start understanding, im still trying to learn anyway for the hope i might just get some breakthrough from it.
' Haqilromich? Qiltannyeh D'askinna Uoi. 'the woman seems to ask the stern-looking man
The man now replying to her yells' Naj! Ipratonnah Zalakheem? Uoi E'Karttal, Mazakkinyh Habb Ui'ana!' yells out the stern man, it becomes a back and forth with primarily the words 'Uoi' and 'Naj' beingrepeated.
Hmm.. now that i think about it those words feel similar, mainly the word Uoi bring some clues in my small baby peanut brain..everytime they say it they point at the other person.
im assuming it must mean 'you' with the way they are gesturing with it.
Additionally Naj feels too off to be a verb and too used to be a noun, it must be something else.. with the way they say it im gonna assume it means "no" for now.
I really must start learning this language if i plan to live in this world.
While you and i start time-skipping, im gonna start explaining what "Glimpses" and what it exactly means. 'Glimpses' in all simplicity are just.. flashes of memories from a previous life, I.E our world.
but these 'Glimpses' aren't full nor do they give everything you need from the start immediately, Glimpses are just lets say.. 1,000 Hours of Consumable Information you may have learned in our modern world, even if you forgot it or even if you've only looked at the pages of a book based on chemistry and didnt read a single letter.
that image is stored, the image itself is grouped up with others that would normally take a 1,000 Hours to learn extensively to permanently implant in your brain as fact.
that in simple terms is; 'Glimpses' just an exact Memory of a Subject from a past life that the protagonist will be viewing in the span of Mili-Seconds, in no way is this exactly a "Reincarnation" but more of a "Rebirth" where the protagonist will regain parts of memories from that life.
that way the protagonist isnt producing crazy modern-shit out of his ass, like guns and all that ( im looking at you Arifureta, lazy ass thinkers!!! )
Ever since birth i havent had another "Glimpse", its weird..
right now the only reason im able think must be because of the Glimpses.
A thing i've realized is that the workings of science are being manipulated by the Will of Man.
i see many of my caretakers Conjuring Flames to light my lamps and Conjuring Wind to cool themselves off under the sun..
i have no other way of defining it other than them WILLING existence to bend to them.
though the fact they are using words to make it happen must mean an incantation, right?
but then i think if you already grasp the understanding of the workings, do you really need to use your words, or can you use your thoughts?
maybe i can conjure it by instinct after getting used to pre-implanting the action i want into my brain, like is done with my hands or limbs?
I need to test all this.. i need Answers, but as i am now i doubt i can even walk soon.
for now, just learning how to talk will be a start, i've learned enough to have built a wide passive-vocabulary of around 70-90 words in the Gyrtal Language
(quick explanation onwhat a Passive-Vocabulary is, its literally just the words you know the meaning of but dont know how to pronounce or havent saidyet)

As the Protag/Ilzarr (The l is silent) reaches his tiny baby hands to Ahzarra's cheek, she smiles warmly, letting the tiny hand reach and touch her as she gets enraptured by her cute baby-sons comforting, hugging him closer as she nuzzles against his cheek and begins smothering him.
' ooooooooooooooooo!! my cute ilza is just too much, mommy is definetely smothering and pampering you all day and night nowwww!!~~~ ' H-HEY, GET OFF ME YOU LOONIE!
We zoom out from the baby crib and shown the well polished granite white room and its red carpet in the middle as we zoom further out to see the colossal floating castle as our protagonists death is inevitable.. may he rest in smothering
While our Protagonist does NOT get smothered to DEATH by his mother, im gonna start giving you some clearer insight on this world.
currently the protagonist is as the title of the novel entailed, the first and only prince and heir to the Empire of.. "Grynollis"
The "Grynollis Empire" is the most powerful and richest empire in the current world, its 918AH or ' 918 After Hastrian ' hastrian being the worlds most widely known and respected apostle and prophet of the now continentally wide 'Hastin Church' which dominates the current map of the "known world"
Currently the technology and the developement of this world is as developed as the ' Renaissance Period ' which entails the time period when our worlds Europe turned from the backwater continent it was in comparison to asia and africa to the dominating power of the world.
through the discovery of the new world, but mainly through the quick and rapid technological advancement of the continent after feudalism was finally demolished and democracy came in waves into europe. the same happened to the "Khaligan Continent" this worlds equivelant to our worlds Europe.
The "Khaligan Continent" had been plagued both literally and figuratively by the world, first was the "Hadrians Sign" Plague which is a worst "Black Plague" to this world than our own worlds black plague which if you didnt know had killed 50 to 200 million people including HALF OF EUROPES ENTIRE POPULATION.
ofcourse europe recovered but it was scarred because of this and it caused the Feudal System to RISE as the new european hierarchical system.
but now i reference this to tell you that the "Khaligan Continent" suffered a whole SIXTY-EIGHT PERCENT FATALITY RATE, meaning that slightly over they're majority and over 87,300,000 had died, all this happening from 19AH-478AH and called the.. "Hadrians Sign" cause it happened no less than two decades after Hadrians Death, people ofcourse came in droves to become a part of the "Hadrians Church" after this as this was "Undeniable Proof of Divine Punishment".
Now back to the current time, the Empire of Grynollis is run by a full authoritarian system and its monarchy held totalitarian control without even the church or nobles fully involved.
this was after the current emperor, Emperor Qyalis made his huge military reforms to re-establish the empires strength.
all this was for avenging his late father and the former emperor, Emperor Salichy II who was assassinated by the nobility.
The only reason the nobles havent done it to the current emperor Qyalis is simply cause he has the military's backing but also the most powerful clans support
they are a clan in the middle-south where they stand as the most powerful in they're region for they're brutality and sheer inhuman capabilities in battle that was witnessed in 909AH called the "Battle of Jahiqyeh"
this was after Qyalis lead his army to begin diplomatic talks with the clan and signed a "Defence Pact" which entails that an attack on the empire and emperor himself is an attack on the clan and vis versa.
this was after Qyalis proved his powerful abilities in combat with the clan chief, leading to the subsequent and unwanted marriage between Qyalis and the protagonist's mother 'Ahzarra'.
i'd just like to quickly point out that for half the chapter i have been rambling and world-building, ofcourse i dont mean to bore you from the start but i am trying to start a quick foundation of world building before i go in-depth in the story later on in the novel so please forgive the lack of character interactions and dialogue, i will focus on those and world developement past this initial chapter.
