Chapter 1 - Chp 1 - My name is Slyvan.

"Dr. Oak, why are you in my house again?"

"Ohh, Ash."

"You're leaving for your trip tomorrow, so remember to come early to claim your starting Pokémon. Don't be late."

At the door, Professor Oak left as quickly as he appeared.

Ash turned around and looked at Professor Oak, somewhat confused.

But soon, he cheered up. Tomorrow would be the most crucial step for him to become a Pokémon master!

Finally receiving his own starter Pokémon!

As for what Professor Oak said about not being late, Ash didn't take it to heart at all.

He had already made contact with Slyvan who worked at the Oak Research Institute, and the other party would help him keep an eye out.

The next day, at the Oak Research Institute.

"Ah——are they all picked out!?"

A loud scream was heard, scaring away many of the little pidgeys perched in the trees.

Inside the research institute, a young man held his head and seemed to be going crazy.

On the side, Professor Oak was holding a small notebook, looking at the depressed Ash, shaking his head slightly, and couldn't help but say:

"Really? How dare you let that Slyvan kid choose Pokémon for you? He always sleeps until noon."

Ash: "…."

The atmosphere was a bit depressing.

But suddenly, a sound of something flying through the air broke the silence.

"Bang!"

A red and white ball hit Ash's head accurately.

Unfortunately, it seemed that it detected that the captured object was not a Pokémon, and the red light emitted by the red and white ball did not capture Ash.

"Ouch, Slyvan, I've told you so many times, I'm not a Pokémon, please stop throwing Poké Balls at me, it hurts!"

Ash felt pain and held his head as he looked towards the doorway, where a tall and thin boy was walking against the light.

The young man approached, revealing his figure hidden in the light.

He was wearing casual sportswear, had a handsome face and fair skin, and exuded a scholarly air, giving people the impression that he was well-behaved and easy to talk to.

Next to Slyvan, there was a mobile phone with a pair of small lightning wings floating.

Facing Ash's complaints, he just shrugged:

"Who knows?"

After saying that, Slyvan sighed and picked up the red and white ball that was on the ground.

The 32nd attempt to capture the strongest humanoid Pokémon failed.

[Ding! D-level research topic - (Is Ash a humanoid Pokémon?) Decoding process has been completed.]

[The conclusion is: No.]

[Bonus Scratch Lottery x1! ]

Slyvan's face lit up with joy when he saw a scratch-off lottery ticket appear in the system space.

He finally saved up enough to buy ten scratch-off tickets.

Just when Slyvan was considering whether to go home, take a shower, change clothes, burn incense, and then happily do ten consecutive draws, Ash's plaintive voice came from the side.

"Slyvan-san, where's the Pokémon I asked you to pick for me?"

Seeing Slyvan's stunned look, Ash seemed to be a little crazy:

"Please, you won't forget that Gary showed off his Squirtle to me at the door just now."

"Oh, about that?"

Slyvan turned his head, looked at Ash, and said sincerely:

"Of course I haven't forgotten. The Pokémon I prepared for you is different from those of other trainers."

"Its a very, very special Pokémon~"

Slyvan's tone was seductive, and Ash was slightly taken aback, curiosity piqued.

Slyvan is an assistant at the Oak Research Institute, so what he said is somewhat credible.

Ash couldn't help but have his eyes light up, and he was secretly looking forward to it.

What could this unique elf be?

Slyvan walked behind Ash and pressed a switch.

Soon, under Ash's gaze, a yellow mouse was slowly lifted up by the mechanical platform.

"Wow, that's cool, it looks like a very powerful Pokémon!"

With shining eyes, Ash took out the Pokémon Pokédex handed to him by Professor Oak and aimed it at the yellow mouse in front of him.

Soon, a mechanical voice came from the illustration:

[Pikachu, the Electric Mouse Pokémon. These are as numerous as stray dogs on the roadside.]

Ash: "…."

"Slyvan, didn't you say my pokemon was special? Hmm, Slyvan?"

Turning around, Ash couldn't find Slyvan. He looked around and found that the other party had run out the door at some point.

Slyvan pointed behind Ash.

Ash and Professor Oak turned around at the same time and saw an angry Pikachu.

It seemed that the blunt words in the Pokédex had angered him.

"Pika-chuuu!"

A burst of lightning crackled, and the two people inside were knocked to the ground by the electric shock.

"Slyvan, you are so unreliable!"

Ash fell to the ground, his pajamas turned to charcoal. He stretched out his hand, pointed at Slyvan who was safe and sound at the door, and accused him tremblingly.

Oh, silly thing.

Looking at Ash's appearance, Slyvan shook his head.

This Pikachu is indeed very precious!

[Ding! A special individual of the Pikachu population has been discovered!]

[S-level research project has been issued - "Decoding Ash's Pikachu."]

As expected, Ash's Pikachu is a special individual.

When Slyvan heard the prompt that popped up from the system, a smile appeared on his face.

After crossing into the Pokémon world, he was bound to the Pokémon Research System.

As long as you keep searching for and studying those special individuals that are different from the ordinary Pokémon population, you will receive rewards continuously!

The first thing Slyvan thought of was Ash's Pikachu.

Arceus, although he didn't have his Zap Plate, was still pushed back by a Thunderbolt from Pikachu. A Pikachu of this strength is definitely a special individual.

Looking at Satoshi and Professor Oak lying on the ground and twitching, Slyvan smiled warmly.

"Ash, I've already told Aunt Ketchum that I'd like to travel with you."

Oak Research Institute, at the main gate.

This place was surrounded by many people.

Today is the day when the five trainers from Pallet Town set off, and everyone was here to see them off.

The first three have already set off, and now, they are going to see off Ash and Slyvan.

In the crowd, Ms. Ketchum was carrying large and small bags of things and kept stuffing them into Ash's hands.

"Here's your water bottle, tent, rope, and rubber gloves. You might need them someday!"

"Okay, okay, Mom!"

Ash's hands were almost full.

Looking at this scene, Delia smiled and said calmly:

"Oh, and Slyvan is going to go with you too."

"I know this. Slyvan told me about it just now at the research institute."

Ash scratched his head.

For some reason, he always felt that the eyes of the neighbors around him were very enthusiastic. When they sent off Gary and the others away before, he had never seen such enthusiasm.

"Haha, that's good. You have to take good care of Slyvan along the way and keep an eye on him!"

"Okay, mom, I will listen to what Slyvan says. Wait, what did you say?"

Ash looked at Delia with a confused look on his face, pointing a finger at himself, as if to say:

"You want me, a ten-year-old, to take care of an eighteen-year-old adult?"

Unexpectedly, the neighbors around did not feel offended, but echoed:

"Yes, Ash, I'm leaving Slyvan kid in your care. You must keep an eye on him!"

"That's right, Ash, you must not forget that Slyvan is from Sinnoh, not from Pallet Town. You must make it clear to others when introducing yourself and him!"

"Oh, okay."

The neighbors around were talking to each other, and Ash scratched his head in confusion and had to agree to everything.

Everyone is so weird.

At this moment, a shout came from a distance:

"Ash, come here, let's go!"

It was Slyvan. At this moment, he was wearing a clean and tidy sportswear, carrying a travel bag, and waving at Ash.

Slyvan looked at everyone who was seeing him and Ash off, and he couldn't help but feel a little moved.

The past five years since he moved to Pallet Town kept coming back to his mind, and he sighed.

After all, it is a warm anime world, and people are so simple and unpretentious!

Just wait, when Slyvan becomes a true master of Pokémon research, he will definitely come back to benefit the people of Pallet Town!

"Go ahead, Ash, don't give up on your dreams so easily!"

"Yes, Ash, you are going to become a Pokémon master. Before that, please take Slyvan with you to practice together!"

Countless people were urging him around.

"Well, I'll take my leave now. I'll definitely come back to see you all when I become a Pokémon Master!"

Ash waved his hand with a smile on his face. After saying goodbye to everyone, he embarked on a journey with Slyvan.

In the setting sun, the two shadows grew longer and longer.

At the Oak Research Institute, everyone at the door saw Slyvan walking away, and the sadness and reluctance on their faces disappeared in an instant.

Instead, there was a touch of unbelievable ecstasy!

"Gone, gone, that devil Slyvan is finally gone!"

Some people shouted with joy.

"Yes, God has eyes. Ever since he moved here from Sinnoh five years ago, my little Ponyta hasn't had a good night's sleep!"

"And about my Pokémon, Slyvan, this guy, always mixes its feces into my food, saying he wants to study whether Grass Pokémon feces can be sold domestically as food."

"Woo woo woo, and by the time I found out, I had already been eating shit for over a year, and now I can't change my taste anymore."

"I don't know who summoned this demon. He's been taking my Geodude to CT scans all day, and now he's afraid of the light. He said something like, 'He wants to study whether Geodude can get kidney stones.'"

"..."

For a moment, everyone was in an uproar. Professor Oak stood in the crowd, shrinking his neck, not daring to make a sound.

Not only the residents of Pallet Town, but even the Pokémon living in the backyard of Oak Laboratory either flew into the sky or climbed up the trees one by one.

After confirming that the great devil Slyvan was really gone, they also cheered.

There were also a few Darumakas who brought gongs and drums from somewhere and started beating them.

For a moment, the sound of gongs and drums was deafening, and the whole Pallet Town seemed to be preparing for a festival, so lively!

The sound of gongs and drums beating behind them seemed like the cries of everyone who saw them off in the ears of Ash.

Ash's nose suddenly felt sore, and he said reluctantly:

"Everyone... Everyone seems reluctant to leave us."

On the way, the faces of his mother and neighbors who saw him off were deeply engraved in Ash's mind.

And their blessings, their urgings.

Remembering them, Ash's eyes couldn't help but become moist.

"Slyvan-san, why don't we go back and stay with everyone for a while longer."

Ash wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes and looked at the tall Slyvan beside him.

As soon as Slyvan arrived in Pallet Town, he used his patent fees to build several roads in the town and also built a power plant.

It can be seen that the other party really regards this place as his home, and Slyvan must be reluctant to leave as much as I am!

Slyvan turned his head and looked at Ash with a strange look on his face.

After all, Ash is just a ten-year-old kid who is traveling for the first time.

Thinking of this, Slyvan grinned, revealing a mouthful of youthful white teeth, patted Ash's shoulder, and said loudly to comfort him:

"No need to look back, Ash!"

"A real man never looks back!"
