The news of two close Alphas getting into a fight with each other soon spread through different packs like wildfire. Soon, talks about war between the two packs started to go round when the rumour of Alpha Cain's right hand man beating up Alpha Rufus skyrocketed.
Yenka was pleased, when she saw Cain and Gus return to the mansion smelling like blood. That night, she even offered to give Cain a massage.
"I never asked you to get into a fight with them, but since you did that for me, I'll give you a treat," she said, her slender fingers massaging its way into his body, her lips brushing against his neck as he sat there in a bath.
"Do you like it?" she whispered into his ears. Cain reached out to grab her, but she avoided his hands even before he could get a hold of her. He smiled. "Even without a wolf, you are as swift as a Peregrine Falcon," he said to her.
"Perhaps it is not that I'm swift, but you who has grown old," Yenka stated. She had a smile on her lips as usual – a siren that can draw men into a dark cage of illusions.
"I'm still one of the strongest Alphas, if not the strongest," he said amidst chuckles. Yenka slowly withdraw from him, "I would love to stay, but tonight, I deserve a good sleep."
Cain turned to look at her as she carried an incense closer to him. "This will calm your nerves," she said. Then she made to leave.
"I will make Alpha Rufus apologise to you," Cain said to her. But she did not bother to look at him. She just walked away without giving him any response. But if you ask Yenka, she would rather Cain does not bother.
She walked out of Cain's chamber, returning back to hers when someone pulled her to the sides. His hair was dishevelled, his eyes piercing into hers, "Gus!" she muttered, her back against the wall, and his face, only an inch away from hers.
"Do you enjoy doing this?" he asked, his tone barely above a whisper. Yenka was confused.
"Do you enjoy turning allies against each other, and making everyone suffer?" even though his eyes seemed to be fierce, his voice was down.
"What are you doing?" Yenka managed to say, not expecting Gus to kiss her. She was stunned for a few seconds, but immediately snapped her fingers when she realised what was going on.
Vivian came out of the shadows, ready to attack Gus. "Mate!" Gus hissed, catching Vivian by the throat right before she could do anything to him. His eyes darted towards Vivian who was struggling to free herself from his claws. His eyes shone bright red.
Yenka bit her bottom lip, drawing blood in the process. She muttered a few words and held Gus's face close to hers, kissing him deeply and feeding him her blood in the process. Gus dropped Vivian, his claws dug into Yenka's flesh while trying to savour the taste of her.
Vivian stood there watching as Gus dropped down on the floor as if he was dead. But he was only in a deep sleep. "Make sure he does not remember a thing when he wakes up," Yenka instructed Vivian before walking away angrily.
Vivian placed a finger on Gus's forehead, muttering a few words in order to wipe out his memory of what had happened. She took Gus to his room and went back to Yenka's side. On getting there, Yenka landed her a slap.
"If you can't prevent a single werewolf from reaching to me, how are you going to protect me?" Yenka half yelled. Vivian bowed her head, not saying a thing. But her mind was on Gus's aura. It was different, different from the Gus she knew from a few days ago.
"Mate? How dare he call me his mate!?" Yenka was uncontrollably angry, tapping on her sides as she paced the floor.
"I should leave now!" she suddenly said. Then she grabbed a cloak from her closet, word it and disappeared. She was gone, but someone stood there in her room looking just like her, it was Vivian. While Yenka is away, Vivian would have to impersonate her until she comes. So she stayed in Yenka's room waiting for dawn, and waiting more for Yenka to return.

Yenka held a token up in front of a cave. After a few seconds, a path was opened for her to go in. She walked into the cave and was met by a woman in her 50s.
"Freya!" Yenka called to the woman whose facial bearings barely reveals her emotions. But she have Yenka a hug and a kiss on her cheeks. Yenka kissed the back of her palm before placing it against her forehead.
"You did not notify me of your coming tonight," Freya said.
"You sent Sliz," Yenka replied. Freya just nods her head, leading Yenka deep into the cave, even though this was a place Yenka was conversant with.
"The sending off rites requires you to be here," Freya said. They arrived at a spot where a woman laid lifeless on a stone bed. She looked like she was having a peaceful sleep, but her ashen lips said otherwise.
"Mother!" Yenka called out, taking the dead woman's hand. Freya knew that was her cue to walk out, so she left Yenka, giving her the privacy she needed.
"I saw them… they looked happy," Yenka said, forcing a smile on her face.
"But you know who has suffered all these years? You momma! You!" a tear slipped out her eye. She tilt her chin up as if chasing the tears away, dropped her mother's lifeless hand and took a few step away from her dead mother's body.
"You couldn't even wait for me to avenge you; you could not wait for me to return, you just died,"
"How could you die refusing to see me? How am I evil wanting a revenge that is beyond a decade's due?" her voice trembled, her body shaking as though she was an erupting volcano.
"If it were up to me, I'd keep you living till the day Rufus breaths his last, I won't set a fire to bid you farewell," she sounded cold, distant, and determined.
