Chapter 6 - Stay Away From Her

Cain watched still in shock as Gus walked out of Yenka's room. His eyes could have followed Gus, his hand could have stopped Gus from leaving, but Yenka was his focal point; her bare body covered only by a small towel. He shook his head as if trying to shake off something.

Yenka studied Cain's demeanour, "there was someone here. Gus must have sensed him," she said, her eyes fixed on him while twitching her lips.

Cain shook his head again as if trying for something to fall off, "you look so sexy," he said out of the blue. That was something Yenka was not expecting him to say. She thought he was having ideas after seeing Gus in her room with her barely covered up.

"You look so stunning Yenka!" his husky voice reached her ears, his body almost clinging to hers within a second. She darted her eyes towards the door, catching a glimpse of Vivian. Then she shut her eyes as she dropped her towel, but Cain picked it back up and used it to wrap her body.

"You may catch a cold if you cling to this wet towel," he muttered, his voice barely reaching her. But she heard him. She stepped back away from him, knowing fully well what he meant. "I get dressed," her soft voice graced his ears as she got into her closet. She turned to see that he was gone, her chest felt free as she let out a heavy breath.

Cain met with Gus outside, he placed a hand on his shoulder, "stay away from her while I still let you live." This was a warning, and Gus could tell. But he was surprised, shocked that Cain would think he wanted to have anything to do with a woman like Yenka.

"Heca was innocent," Gus said, taking the topic away from Yenka. Cain gritted his teeth, refraining himself from throwing a punch at Gus.

"Did you love her?" Cain asked. "I don't trust this Yenka!" Gus words was welcomed by Cain as a disappointment. He felt Gus was avoiding the real question.

"Heca was a weak one; even if she was innocent, she could never be the Luna for Red Moon Pack,"

Gus shook his head at Cain's words. Instead of continuing in an argument where the other person's mind was made up, he just sighed. "I'll find out who the spy was and what they want," Gus said without getting to look at Cain before leaving.

His mind was everywhere. Just a few minutes ago, he was struggling with himself, fighting hard to resist the woman he detests so much. He didn't go to her room to help her. It wasn't because he noticed there was a spy in there. He was drawn in by her scent, only to find someone going through her stuffs. He ended up having a fight with the masked guy.

"It seems the presence of a new Luna has drawn more attention to this pack," Gus muttered to himself.

But Yenka, she sat on a comfy chair in her room, once occupied by Heca; her eyes fixed on the glass of red wine in her hand, but her mind seemed to be far away. Vivian stood before her, head bowed down.

"You let him in my room?" Yenka sounded cold.

"It was an oversight!" Vivian said. Yenka sucked her teeth, causing Vivian to go on her knees.

"I promise to do better," she said. Yenka scoffed this time. Her eyes darted towards the window. "It will need a repair," she said. This was Vivian's signal to stand up, knowing now that she has been forgiven.

Yenka sipped the last of the content in her glass before walking out of the room. A smile graced her lips, meeting perfectly well with her pretty face as she walked towards Cain who stood there with Alpha Rufus.

"I thought you would be resting by now," Yenka said, her eyes dancing happily from Alpha Rufus to Cain who stood there smiling.

"Same goes for you Yenka," Rufus said, and the two Alphas Laughed. "Do not mind these men, they wouldn't rest a day apart as long as they are in the same territory," Felicity's calm voice reached Yenka, her heels clicking as she walked towards them with a drink in her hand.

"Oh yes, Alpha Cain was just telling me about how a spy broke into your room," Alpha Rufus said. He looked invested, and Yenka just laughed casually at how interested in her business he was.

"Gus took care of it. I do think it was an assassin, not a spy," Yenka's words got Cain worried. He didn't know if he should be worried the credit was going to Gus, or that someone actually tried to assassinate his new Luna, while he was busy thinking it was just a spy.

"Who do you think is behind it?" Felicity asked.

"It may be you," Yenka wore a smirk as she stared deeply into Felicity's eyes before turning back to look at Cain and Rufus.. "of course I'm just joking,"

"But I do know whoever is behind it must not know who Alpha Cain is," she said letting out a weak laugh. Cain sighed. While Felicity laughed along, Rufus and Cain excused themselves.

"You know you're just like me," Felicity said, placing her hand on Yenka's shoulder. Yenka shrugged it away, then took a few steps away from her. "I know it was you," she said before walking away from Felicity, not giving her a chance to explain or deny it.

"You sure are smart," Felicity muttered as she watched Yenka's retreating back. Then she laughed. She just wanted to test Yenka and find out who she really was. She could not understand how a girl without a wolf could overthrow Heca and take over her place as the Luna if Red Moon pack. She wanted to know how Cain fell for a woman like her who seems to be just human.

"The last time a Luna was replaced, it was in the Blood Moon pack , and I was the one who won. But you, you seem to have done the same, but worse," Felicity soliloquised.

"Who are you talking to?" Felicity stumbled out of shock, not expecting anyone to be there.
