Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – Blue Screen: Fate of the Legend

The world has changed. Robots are a common sight in every developed country. Among these advanced technologies, virtual capsule games are the most popular. However, this popularity isn't just because of the stunning graphics, but also the extreme difficulty of each floor for novice players. Stress plagues players in various countries. Only one person has managed to complete the game: Han Souuyong, the legendary gamer.

 ---

Han Souuyong's Residence

Han Souuyong's routine never changes: playing games around the clock, from morning until midnight. Victory after victory has earned him the title of legend.

"Hah... won again. But if it keeps going like this, it's getting boring. My account is too strong," he muttered, his tone arrogant and smug.

Han Souuyong is an orphan who was born in an orphanage on March 12, 2026. He doesn't hesitate to spend money on topping up his favorite genre: fantasy survival games.

"What time is it? I lost track of time because I was too engrossed in PVP," he said, his voice weak and sleepy.

Souuyong glanced at the clock, his eyes glazed over. It was 00:00. He immediately got out of the game capsule he had painstakingly bought. With staggering steps, he headed to his room.

"Ugh, so sleepy... If that PVP had ended sooner, I could have gone to bed earlier. But it was still fun. If only this game were real," he hoped softly.

Souuyong spoke to the ceiling, knowing full well his wish was impossible. He continued walking towards his room.

 ---

Inside the Room

Souuyong took off his clothes before collapsing onto the bed. As soon as his body touched the mattress, he fell asleep instantly, a soft snore audible. The room's light was off, only moonlight penetrating through the window. The room was silent, only Souuyong's snores and the moonlight accompanying him.

 ---

The Next Morning

The sunlight glared into Souuyong's eyes, forcing him to open them slowly.

"Damn it, forgot to close the curtains. Woke up because of the sunlight," he grumbled in annoyance.

Just as he was about to go back to sleep, a massive earthquake shook the earth. Souuyong was shocked, even forgetting that he wasn't wearing any clothes.

"Ahhhh, forgot to put on clothes! Damn!" he shouted, his cheeks flushed.

Souuyong quickly dressed and ran out of the house, curiosity overcoming everything.

 ---

Outside the House

Souuyong stood panting outside the house. Curiosity outweighed his fatigue. He looked up at the sky and was shocked to see a tower soaring high, piercing the clouds.

"This tower... Isn't this the tower from the fantasy survival game? Why is it suddenly in the real world?" he muttered in disbelief.

Souuyong was speechless. The other residents were equally shocked. One resident tried to photograph the tower with their phone, but suddenly a blue screen appeared in front of Souuyong.

[Ding! Han Souuyong, do you want to use your powers from the game in this world? YES/NO]

Souuyong was shocked by the tower, and now he was shocked by the system that appeared before him.

"What is this? Why is the world suddenly like a game? I can't believe it," he muttered, sweat beading on his forehead.

Souuyong was still hesitant, but he saw other residents touching the blue screen.

"Alright, maybe this isn't an illusion or a new game," he thought.

Souuyong extended his index finger and touched the system screen, selecting YES.

"YES, I will use my powers from the game."

As Souuyong touched the screen, his body emitted a bright light, forming a pillar of light that soared into the sky. Strange clouds formed, revealing a giant sword. Lightning flashed, a terrifying aura enveloped the sky.

The residents couldn't believe the phenomenon. Souuyong was just as shocked. The sword emitted an aura from its blade and hilt. Suddenly, a golden dragon appeared with a powerful fire aura, creating a tornado. Lightning struck, the earth's plates shifted.

CRAK!!

"Damn it, why is it like my power can't be contained by this earth? Looks like I have to punch that sword or dragon," he said in a panic.

Souuyong prepared to shoot into the sky, towards the sword.

"There's no way an ordinary human could fly up there," he thought.

SWUSH!!

The ground shook violently, cracks appearing everywhere.

"What is this? Why can ordinary humans fly? I don't care now, let's punch this sword!" he exclaimed excitedly.

The residents who couldn't believe they were seeing a human fly immediately captured the moment.

"Take a photo! We're going to be famous!" shouted one resident.

As they took photos, pillars of light appeared one by one. The residents were increasingly confused.

"Why are pillars of light appearing like that person?" asked one resident.

Souuyong took a deep breath, clenching his fist behind him, preparing to punch the sword.

BRAK!!

Souuyong's fist struck the sword, causing it to crack slowly. Souuyong was shocked.

"Damn it, so I'm like in the game? But why is that golden dragon heading this way?" he shouted in panic.

The dragon shot towards Souuyong at full speed. Souuyong couldn't dodge.

BOOM!!

The dragon crashed into Souuyong, his body emitting light. A strange tattoo in the shape of a golden dragon was etched onto his body. Attack after attack continued to come. Souuyong fainted.

[Ding! Han Souuyong's power has only entered 60%. I can't contain Han Souuyong's power.]

Souuyong was awakened by the system's deafening voice.

"Damn it, so this is my power from the game? I have to withstand these attacks?" he said, understanding the situation.

"That's right, Han Souuyong. Withstand your own power," said the system.

Souuyong straightened his body, his eyes no longer showing fear.

"Come on! I'm ready to receive my own power."

Attack after attack came from the sky. Souuyong didn't flinch. The power entered his body, almost causing him to lose consciousness.

"I can't give up! I am Han Souuyong, the legendary gamer!" he shouted passionately.

As the final power came, Souuyong looked at it without fear, only a smile on his face.

"Come on, hurry up! I want to finish this as quickly as possible. If you're slow, I'll come to you!" he provoked.

The power shot towards Souuyong at full speed. Souuyong couldn't see it.

BOOM!!

Souuyong was thrown from the sky, falling downwards. The residents panicked.

"Ahhhh... quickly call an ambulance or the fire department!" shouted an old man.

As the residents were about to call, cracks suddenly appeared beneath Souuyong.

CRAK!!

The cracks widened, swallowing the helpless Souuyong.

Souuyong disappeared, the cracks closing again. The residents who were looking up at the sky were shocked to see Souuyong and the pillar of light disappear.

"Why did everything disappear? And where did the person who fell go?" asked an old man.

"That's right, Grandpa. Someone fell earlier, but now they've disappeared," chimed in a high school student.

 ---

Inside the Cracks

Souuyong was awakened by the noise around him. His eyes opened slowly.

"Where is this? Why is it so noisy?" he said, trying to calm himself.

Souuyong stood up slowly, his head still throbbing. However, the pain disappeared as soon as he realized that he was in the middle of a crowd of people.

"Why am I suddenly in this noisy room? But why do the walls feel familiar?" he asked, confused.

The noise suddenly stopped as a blue screen appeared on the ceiling, like the system that appeared in front of Souuyong earlier.

[Hello everyone, I am the system that teleported you all. I need your power to defeat the enemy on the final floor.]

The residents in the room were silent, only the sound of dripping sweat could be heard. One resident dared to speak in a firm tone.

"We don't want to be guinea pigs or slaves!" he shouted.

The other residents joined in shouting, making the room noisy again.

The system seemed annoyed. Suddenly, a giant hand appeared from the screen.

"Noisy! If you're noisy, I'll immediately teleport you to tutorial 1!" it threatened in annoyance.

However, the residents continued to shout. The system raised its hand, as if about to snap its fingers. With an angry face, it snapped its fingers without warning.

The residents' bodies emitted a dazzling blue light. Beneath their feet, a large yellow formation appeared with ancient dragon carvings.

"Damn it, the system is really angry. You stupid residents!" Souuyong muttered in a panic.

As the residents' bodies were about to disappear, the system smiled sinisterly.

"Bye-bye, you damn humans! Or should I say multiverse mosquitoes!" it mocked.

SWUSH!!

All the residents disappeared, leaving a silent and dark room. Only the sound of the system's stomach rumbling could be heard.

"Damn it, I'm hungry too. I better eat while watching the players who have to complete tutorial 1," it said.

The system disappeared, leaving a dark and deserted room like an abandoned building.

 ---

In the First Tutorial

Souuyong was in the first tutorial due to the system's teleportation. His forehead furrowed.

"Alright, what's the point of complaining? I'll complete this first tutorial with my own methods and strategies," he muttered.

Souuyong ran at full speed, leaving behind cracks in the ground, trees falling behind him.

Will Souuyong complete the first tutorial? Or will he fail?
