Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - The First Glance

Hot Guy.....

It was one of those evenings where the city seemed alive—neon lights glowing, music spilling from cafés, and the air heavy with possibilities. Mira had just finished work, tired but restless. She ducked into a quiet rooftop bar her friend had recommended. The kind of place where conversations lingered longer than the drinks.

And that's where she saw him.

Tall, broad shoulders that filled out his black shirt perfectly, messy hair like he'd just stepped out of a magazine shoot, and eyes—God, those eyes. Sharp, confident, but with a softness hidden underneath, like he was dangerous yet safe at the same time.

Every girl at the bar had already noticed him. Some giggled, some whispered. He didn't even look their way. Instead, he leaned against the counter, sipping his drink, scanning the city skyline like he owned it.

Mira felt the pull instantly. Something in her chest tightened. She wasn't the type to stare—but she couldn't look away.

And then it happened.

His gaze shifted, slowly, deliberately… and landed on her.

For a moment, time froze. His lips curved into the faintest smile—playful, knowing. As if he had just read every thought racing through her mind. Mira's heart skipped, her breath caught.

Before she could look away, he started walking toward her. Confident. Unhurried. Every step felt like an invitation and a challenge at once.

"Seat taken?" his voice was low, smooth, with just enough heat to make her skin tingle.

Mira shook her head, unable to find words. He slid into the chair beside her, his presence filling the space like gravity itself.

"I'm Adrian," he said, holding her gaze, eyes glinting under the bar lights. "And you are…?"

Mira swallowed hard, suddenly aware of how fast her pulse was racing.

"Mira," she managed to say, her voice softer than she intended.

Adrian leaned closer, close enough that she caught the subtle scent of him—something musky, addictive. His smile widened.

"Mira," he repeated, like he was already savoring her name.

The night had only just begun.
