The land now called the Sun and Moon Continent was not always united. Long ago, it was broken into four kingdoms. They fought without end, each one dreaming of power, each one falling into greed.
The Silver Sun Kingdom was rich in ore and gold. Its palaces glittered with wealth, but the nobles grew lazy. Their people suffered under heavy taxes, while the rulers drowned in luxury.
The Crimson Flame Kingdom held the largest armies. Its soldiers were proud, its generals fearless, but their kings only knew how to fight, not how to rule. They spent their strength in endless wars, leaving their people broken and poor.
The Azure Sky Kingdom valued knowledge. Its scholars built the first soul tools, and their cities shone with learning. Yet wisdom without strength was weakness. Whenever enemies marched against them, they fell quickly.
The Black Sand Kingdom lived in deserts and raided the lands around them. They were fierce and cruel, but poor in resources. Their king ruled like a tyrant, taking lives as easily as water.
The continent was full of blood and chaos. No one trusted their neighbors. The people dreamed of peace, but no king could give it.
Then came Xu Longhai, a man of the Purple Dragon Clan.
Xu Longhai's martial soul was the Purple Brilliant Dragon, a beast of light and fire. From his youth, he showed unmatched talent. By the age of forty, he had stepped into the realm of Title Douluo. He was powerful, but power alone was not enough. What made him feared was ambition.
He looked at the broken kingdoms and saw weakness. He believed the land could not survive unless it was united under one rule. So he raised his dragon banner and began his conquest.
His first war was against the Silver Sun Kingdom.
The nobles believed they could buy him off with gold. Xu Longhai refused. He marched through their fields, burned their castles, and crushed their armies. Within three months, the Silver Sun King was dead, his crown shattered. Yet not all was lost. From the ashes, Xu Longhai found something valuable: a princess.
She was Princess Yuexin, known for her radiant beauty and her martial soul, the Radiant Sun Spirit. Unlike her family, she was not spoiled or greedy. She saw strength in Xu Longhai and believed he could bring peace to the continent. Instead of fighting him, she bent her pride and agreed to stand by his side.
It was said that when Xu Longhai rode in victory through the Silver Sun capital, Yuexin appeared on the palace walls. The sight of her golden light beside his purple flames shook the soldiers. Some whispered it was fate.
Xu Longhai spared her, and in time, he made her his wife.
His second war was against the Crimson Flame Kingdom.
Their king sent a hundred thousand soldiers to the battlefield. Their red armor gleamed like fire under the sun. They believed they could bury Xu Longhai with sheer numbers.
But when Xu Longhai released his martial soul, the Purple Brilliant Dragon roared into the sky. The earth shook, flames spread, and the soldiers lost their courage. Xu Longhai struck down their generals one by one. The Crimson Flame King was burned alive in his fortress. The armies surrendered, bowing to the dragon's banner.
His third war was against the Azure Sky Kingdom.
The scholars begged for mercy. They offered their knowledge of soul tools in exchange for their lives. Xu Longhai agreed, but not out of kindness. He marched into their capital, forced them to kneel, and bound them to his service.
From them, the five great departments of soul guidance were formed: Research, Core Creation, Weapons, Armor, and Strategy. They would no longer serve kings. They would serve the empire.
His last war was against the Black Sand Kingdom.
Their king was a warrior without equal, cruel and fearless. He challenged Xu Longhai to single combat. Xu Longhai accepted.
For three days and three nights, they fought in the desert. The sands shook under their battle. Armies on both sides stood still, too afraid to join. On the fourth day, Xu Longhai's dragon crushed the Black Sand King. His corpse was swallowed by the dunes.
With that, the last kingdom fell.
It was during this war that Xu Longhai revealed the true terror of his power.
When he summoned his ninth spirit ring, it glowed deep red. A one-hundred-thousand-year ring. No man on the continent had ever held such a ring. Its light turned night into blood. To his enemies, the sight of that ring meant death.
They called him the Crimson Dragon Emperor.
When all four kingdoms were broken, Xu Longhai stood above the ruins and declared:
"No more division. No more weak kings. From today, there is only one banner, one people, one empire. This is the Sun and Moon Empire."
The soldiers roared his name. The people bowed. Even the Holy Spirit Cult, hidden in the shadows for generations, offered him their loyalty. Xu Longhai accepted them, turning darkness itself into a weapon of the empire.
When Xu Longhai returned to the capital, the people lined the streets. They threw flowers, cheered, and shouted his name. To them, he was not only a man. He was a living legend, chosen by heaven.
But in the palace, another moment waited for him.
The Empress Yuexin, once Princess of the Sun Kingdom, lay in her chambers, her body weak with labor. For years, she had waited as her husband fought and conquered. Now, with the continent united, she was giving birth.
Xu Longhai rushed to her side, still in his armor, still carrying the smell of blood and smoke from war. He took her hand and for the first time in years, the fire in his eyes softened.
The hours dragged on. The Empress's cries filled the chamber. The midwives worked in silence. Then, at last, the cry of a newborn broke the night.
The Empress wept with relief. "Our son…" she whispered.
Xu Longhai took the child into his arms. The boy's eyes were dark, yet sharp, as if they already carried the weight of destiny. The Emperor, who had slain kings and burned cities, felt something heavier than all his victories. This was his heir, his blood, his legacy.
He raised the child high and declared:
"This is my son, Xu Tianran. He carries the blood of the Sun and the will of the Moon. From this day, he is the Crown Prince of the Sun and Moon Empire."
Outside the palace, the soldiers repeated his words. Their voices rolled like thunder through the city:
"Crown Prince Xu Tianran!"
Thus, the empire was born not only from blood and war, but also from union. The Dragon of the Moon and the Radiant Sun Princess had forged a new dynasty together. And their child, Xu Tianran, would carry both their legacies into the future.
The Sun and Moon Empire had risen. And its heir had just taken his first breath.
