Chapter 1 - Birth

[THEOGONY]

The Origin of the Gods.

It is said that the first primordial being to be born was Chaos; then Gaia, the most spacious, the only one of all, the eternal immortals who have children, the children of Olympus, Tartarus, the celestial realm, the land of Eurydes, and Eros, who is the best in immortality, the one free from all gods and all men, is condemned by his law and despicable will.

From Chaos were born the dark Erebus and Nyx, and from them emerged Aether and Hemera, generated by the love mingled of Erebus with his bride-sister.

And Gaia, the first to be equaled to this starry heaven, so that, without any toil, she could be blessed by the gods and remain safe forever. Urrea was created far away, giving the gods the ships of the Nymphs, and temples were built in Urrea. And the furious sea also gave birth to a child, Pontus, a child of fleeting love; then I blessed the Sky with a deep ocean, Coeus, and Crius, who would surpass Iapetus, the goddess Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, and gold-crowned Tethys of Earth. And for them, the most armed, the cruelest of children, became Cronus, the cruelest of children; he did not give birth to happiness.

Cronus, the one who reaped his own progenitor, erasing his seed, and uprooted him from existence, ending his immortal life. And the sky was condemned to never unite again.

But the current story no longer follows that path. For it is being rewritten by the Mothers of Fate (the Moirai), three wise ancients who decreed the fate of the immortals, immeasurable mothers in their craft.

They cut the thread of fate, imbuing it into another. One who would become the new primordial sky.

◇◇◇

He didn't know how long he had slept, but when he awoke, he felt… light? It wasn't an emotional lightness or anything like that, but rather a lightness of "absence of weight," as if his entire being suddenly lost all mass.

That was when he "awoke."

Not in the common sense of "waking from dreams," but something like "becoming conscious." He could "see" his entire extended reach, everything he saw was a moist land and vast crusts of earth beneath a blue and green sea. Everything seemed strangely… empty?

Not empty of life, but empty of "concepts," as if you were trying to paint a blue sea, but without the colors for it, leaving a void in the landscape.

That's it! That means maybe then—

"Who are you?"

"!!!"

While he was in his reverie, a voice called his attention. It was soft and seductive, yet strangely carried an almost childlike curiosity.

Looking in the direction of the voice, he held his breath. In front of him was a woman who could only be called "Beautiful."

At the center of this natural splendor that was the ocean where they drifted, there was a woman resting, seated upon a gently rounded part beneath the foams that filled the sea, like a throne shaped by nature itself for her. Her body was voluptuous, with large, round breasts and buttocks, swaying with the slightest movement with firmness. Her mocha, earthy-toned skin gleamed under the sunlight, creating a beautiful contrast with the surrounding blue. Her long, pink, almost ethereal hair cascaded in silky waves down to her delicate feet, the tips forming delicate hearts, as if love itself intertwined within them. Her translucent, shining pink eyes reflected the serenity of that paradise, as if carrying the essence of the garden itself.

She was naked, yet her nudity did not feel out of place; it was as if nature itself bowed to her beauty. And he didn't know how to react.

"Hmm." She let out a cute grunt before blinking for a moment, as if having reached a conclusion, then pointing at him she continued: "—Twin brother… correct?"

"Twin brother?"

She nodded affirmatively to him, and he nodded back.

"Yes. We are equal, each half of the other. See!"

Soon she pointed to the edges of the sea that reflected their image, and he could only sigh in surprise, for she was right. They had mirrored appearances, though his tone was darker, his skin darker than hers, and his hair purple, but their bright eyes were identical.

"Brother, hmm~… my beloved dear brother… yes, that is correct!"

While he got lost in his reflection, she seemed to have solved all the mysteries of the world, but he had not.

"W-who, w-what? I don't understand?"

He was confused. He knew this was not his original form, and that he had once been human, but he did not know WHO he was or HOW he ended up like this. Soon the soft arms pulled him toward a soft, firm valley.

(Are those her breasts?!)

"Hmm~ Come, dear brother~ what troubles you?"

It was astonishing how he could relax in her arms, even though he should be embarrassed by the state of their nudity. But his mind seemed to ignore it, perhaps due to their newborn-like state.

Feeling strangely relaxed and at peace, with a grunt of relief, he muttered to his apparent twin:

"Nothing, I'm just confused, after all, I've just discovered that I came to life." He murmured while snuggling into the two comfortable pillows, before speaking again. "Tell me, sister, how can you be so calm and at ease?"

He then felt a… purring? It was what seemed like a vibration around the soft body holding him. Soon he felt delicate hands caressing his purple curls and the honeyed voice of his sister:

"Oh, dear brother, I am not troubled by such questions because I have you! Your presence calms any doubt, telling me that while I am with you, I need not question or fear."

And she… was strangely right. He felt the same familiar sensation, but at the same time different. A feeling that while he was with Aphrodite, nothing could disturb him.

"What is your name? Dear brother?"

"…my name?"

Right… he had no name… but which should he choose? Could it be… hmm… And so, almost as in a daydream, he felt! A euphoric wave that consumed his "self," he seemed to know who he was now.

"I am… Eros…."
