She had gone through all the trouble of gathering the Dragon Balls, but before she could even make her own wish, Goku used two of them, didn't let her finish her thought, and disappeared without even a thank you.
But… she was used to it. After all, she'd known Goku since they were kids. If anyone understood him, it was her.
With a stretch, Bulma turned and headed back toward the rest area of her mansion.
Vegeta, meanwhile, stayed behind, his arms folded as Goku's last words replayed in his mind.

The Kai's eyes widened. "Ah, so that's it! That's why you wanted your tail back. You're planning on turning into a Great Ape!"
But he tilted his head in confusion. "Goku, you're already strong enough to go Super Saiyan 3. Do you really need that old transformation anymore? It seems pointless."
Goku only smiled, a spark of mystery in his eyes. "You'll see soon enough, King Kai."
"…Hmph. Fine, I won't ask." King Kai adjusted his antennae, stretching his senses across the North Galaxy.
Minutes passed as sweat rolled down his forehead. Searching an entire galaxy for a lonely planet wasn't easy.
Finally, he gasped. "Got it! A planet with no people, just some animals. The full moon's about to rise. I'll send you the coordinates."
"Thanks, King Kai." Goku touched two fingers to his forehead, locked onto the location, and vanished.
On a quiet, lonely planet deep in the galaxy…
Goku appeared on barren land under the night sky. The air was cool, the wind sharp against his skin. Above, a thin crescent moon hung—but soon, it would be full.
He spread his senses across the world. Just like King Kai said—no humans, only beasts roaming in the dark.
He looked up at the sky.
"It's almost time."
The moonlight grew stronger. His tail twitched, resonating with the strange energy in the air. His blood boiled.
"This feeling… it's starting!"
His heartbeat thundered. His muscles swelled. The air around him warped as his body grew larger, more monstrous.
Goku gritted his teeth, sweat rolling down his face. The pain of every bone, every cell being torn apart and rebuilt was unbearable—yet familiar.
The Saiyan within him roared.
"Raaaaghhh!!"
In seconds, his body had grown massive, his eyes glowing red. The primal power of the Great Ape took over, wild and ferocious.
But Goku didn't resist. Instead, he welcomed it.
"Come on… transform into a Great Ape…" His voice was half-growl, half-roar. "And then… Super Saiyan 4!!"
The night echoed with a monstrous howl as the Saiyan blood in Goku's body ignited to its peak.

The ground shook. The beast had awakened.
The deafening roar of Goku's giant ape form echoed across the land.

Back on the asteroid, the power of the Blutz Waves completely overtook Goku. His body expanded to monstrous size, black fur covering his skin, his clothes shredded away. His wild aura shook the very space around him, tearing cracks in the air itself.

The ground shook as the Giant Ape Goku beat his chest with thunderous strikes, his body swelling past 10 meters… 30… 50… 100… until finally stabilizing at over 1,000 meters tall.
The planet quaked under his steps, mountains cracked, and the sky itself seemed to tremble.
He opened his mouth wide, charging a devastating blast of energy, then unleashed it in a single breath. The beam ripped through the surface, splitting the land apart, distorting space, and burning everything in its path.
The asteroid looked ready to shatter.

But just then—Goku stopped.

Breathing deeply, he began to focus on the overwhelming power coursing through him.

Black fur turned golden. His already massive body doubled in size. From a thousand-meter giant ape, he grew into a towering two-thousand-meter Golden Great Ape.
"Yesss… it worked!" Goku roared, feeling the wild energy rushing through every part of his body. The incredible power made every cell burn with excitement, but he quickly steadied his mind.
"Alright… next stop—Super Saiyan 4!" Goku clenched his fists, determined to break through.
He had already experienced this transformation once in another timeline. With that knowledge, he knew what had to be done.
Holding his breath, the Golden Great Ape unleashed all of his energy at once. The golden aura around him whipped into a raging storm, blowing across the battlefield like a hurricane. His power compressed, broke through limits, and rose to an even higher realm.
Blue lightning snapped around his massive frame.
"ROOOOAAAARRR!!!!"
The roar of the Great Ape echoed across the universe. Energy exploded outward like a tidal wave, tearing through space itself. The golden light grew so bright it pierced the heavens, even spilling into higher dimensions.
If Goku hadn't held back, the asteroid beneath him would have been reduced to dust long ago.
The storm of golden energy began to shrink, pulling back into Goku's body. The Great Ape's form twisted and shifted, shrinking down, reshaping itself.
Minutes later, silence fell. Smoke covered the battlefield. The massive Golden Great Ape was gone.
Out of the smoke walked a tall, muscular figure. His body was covered in crimson fur, his long black hair flowed down his back, and his golden eyes shone with raw power.
Super Saiyan 4… Goku had returned.
He clenched his fists, grinning with a wild confidence.
"Super Saiyan 4… I've done it again."
His body surged with overwhelming power—strength enough to crush planets, maybe even galaxies, with a single strike. Every cell screamed with energy, boiling over in excitement. His speed, strength, defense, reflexes—everything—was on a whole new level. This was the complete form of a Saiyan warrior.
For a moment, Goku just stood there, breathing in the power, smiling. He was itching for a fight. If only there was someone strong enough to challenge him…
But he knew the truth. In this time, in this world, no one could rival him. He was already beyond invincible. Or so he thought.
