Inside the Divine Realm.

Beerus, the God of Destruction, lazily soaked in his bath, steam rising around him. He stretched his arms and let the water wash over him, then casually asked Whis what was happening in the universe lately. He also wondered how Frieza, his so-called "appointed representative of destruction," was doing.

He was planning to erase Frieza the next time they met, but when Whis informed him that Frieza had already been killed, Beerus was so shocked that he slipped and fell out of the bath.

Even though Frieza was nothing more than an insect to him, the idea that someone else had managed to kill him was… surprising. After all, in such a vast universe, anyone stronger than Frieza was rare.

Whis then added something even more interesting—the one who killed Frieza was a Saiyan who had survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta.

"Whis, are you sure about that? A Saiyan? Don't joke around," Beerus said, frowning. "With the strength of those wild monkeys, even if their entire race fought together, they couldn't defeat Frieza."

To Beerus, Saiyans were nothing more than barbaric warriors with strong bodies and simple brains. But the fact was undeniable—Frieza had been killed by one.

"You'll understand after you see this, Lord Beerus," Whis said calmly. He raised his staff, and the orb at the top projected a light curtain in the air.

On the screen was the battle on Planet Namek, where Goku fought Frieza.

"Blonde hair?!" Beerus' eyes narrowed. "Whis, are you sure you're showing me the right person? Saiyans only transform into giant apes. Since when do they turn blonde?"

"In recent years, Saiyans have unlocked a new power hidden within their bloodline. They can transform without relying on the full moon," Whis explained.

"The golden-haired form you see is called… Super Saiyan."

"Super… Saiyan?" Beerus repeated, his voice low. His expression grew serious. Somehow, the name struck something in his memory. A certain figure from his dreams. A figure that made him restless even in his sleep.

"That dream… could it be connected?"

Whis then shifted the projection again, showing more scenes—Goku and Vegeta's battle as Super Saiyan 2, then Goku's fight against Majin Buu as Super Saiyan 3. Finally, Goku's transformation into Super Saiyan 4.

Beerus leaned forward, intrigued. The raw, primal power of Super Saiyan 4 actually made him interested.

"Whis… all of these are different forms of Super Saiyan?" Beerus asked with a faint smile.

"Yes," Whis replied. "According to their own naming, they call them Super Saiyan 1 through Super Saiyan 4. The one you first saw was Super Saiyan 1. The last one, with the wilder appearance, is Super Saiyan 4."

"Hmph. Super Saiyan 1… Super Saiyan 4… these names are ridiculous." Beerus smirked, but his eyes glowed faintly. "Still… the name reminds me of that figure in my dream. This is getting annoying."

Whis smiled knowingly. "Lord Beerus… could the one from your dream be the same person that the Oracle Fish mentioned thirty-seven years ago? Your destined rival… the Super Saiyan God?"

Beerus froze, then clenched his fist. "That's it. The Super Saiyan God!"

"Whis… where are the remaining Saiyans now?"

"They all live in the Northern Galaxy, on a blue planet called Earth."

Beerus stood up, wrapped a towel around himself, and smirked. "Earth, huh? Then let's pay them a visit. I want to see this Super Saiyan God with my own eyes!"

Scene shift: Earth.

Life on Earth was peaceful as always. People enjoyed their everyday routines, unaware that a massive crisis was silently approaching.

That day, Bulma was celebrating her birthday. She had invited all the Z-Warriors to her luxurious party, hosted on a giant Capsule Corporation cruise ship sailing across the ocean.

Goku, Gohan, Goten, Chi-Chi, Ox-King.

Krillin, Android 18, Marron, Master Roshi, Turtle, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Launch.

Piccolo, Dende, Mr. Popo, Korin, Yajirobe.

Videl, Mr. Satan, Majin Buu.

Everyone had gathered, catching up and sharing stories.

On the top deck, Goku and Vegeta—eternal rivals—finally crossed paths again. Sparks filled the air immediately.

"Long time no see, Vegeta," Goku said with a grin.

"It's been a while, Kakarot." Vegeta crossed his arms, cold and sharp as always.

After a year, the two rivals met again. Both had changed a lot.

Goku's eyes burned with focus as he looked Vegeta up and down, taking in the changes in his old rival's body.

Vegeta's sharp glare was like an arrow, carefully measuring Goku as well.

"It looks like you've been training harder than me, Vegeta," Goku said with a smile. "If I'm right… you've finally taken that step, haven't you?"

"Hmph!" Vegeta crossed his arms. "I can't always stay behind you, Kakarot. But don't get the wrong idea—it's just Super Saiyan 4. I'll surpass it in my own way." His eyes narrowed as his aura flared. "Still… you've gotten stronger too, Kakarot."

Goku felt Vegeta's energy testing his own, so he let out just a bit of his own power, their auras clashing silently in the air.

"As much as I want to fight you right now," Goku said seriously, "we should hold back. It's Bulma's birthday party after all. We can save the fight for later."

Vegeta didn't argue—he simply pulled his aura back. He wasn't going to ruin his wife's special day with a fight.

Goku scratched his head awkwardly, then leaned in and whispered, "By the way, Vegeta… how old is Bulma turning today?"

Vegeta frowned. "Why are you asking me that?"

"You mean… you don't know?" Goku chuckled.

"Tch! I don't care about such boring details," Vegeta snapped, looking away.

Before Goku could tease him more, a blinding light ripped through Earth's atmosphere, descending at incredible speed toward the ship.

"What's that?!" Goku said, instantly on guard.

"Tch… what now?" Vegeta's fists clenched.

The two warriors stared at the glowing light. When it faded, two unfamiliar figures stood before them.

It was Beerus, the God of Destruction, and Whis, his angel attendant.

(Who are these two?!) Goku's eyes narrowed as he tried to sense them. What he felt made his heart skip a beat.

(This energy… it's god ki! So pure… even stronger than mine!)

Ever since learning godly training methods from the Elder Kai a year ago, Goku had been practicing with divine energy. But the godly power radiating from these two was far beyond his own.

(Are they… gods? But I've never seen them before.)

While Goku struggled to make sense of it, Vegeta froze, his eyes wide. Buried memories suddenly flooded back—memories he had forced deep down for years.

He remembered being a child, watching helplessly as Beerus humiliated his father, King Vegeta, forcing him to grovel like a servant. He remembered wanting to save his father but being paralyzed with fear under Beerus's gaze.

The terror of the God of Destruction had been burned into his very soul.

"Beerus… the God of Destruction!" Vegeta's voice shook with rage.

"You… know him, Vegeta?!" Goku asked in shock. He had never heard of a God of Destruction before. Could it be that this world was different from the one he once knew?

Beerus chuckled, his voice cold and mocking. "Decades have passed since I last saw you. Back then, the little Saiyan prince trembled at just one look from me."

Vegeta's fists shook, his eyes filled with fury. "I was a child then… but the shame you brought to my people, to my father… I'll never forget it, Beerus!"

"Hah. Your father, King Vegeta, was nothing but a groveling slave before me. But you… you've grown a bit of a backbone. Interesting." Beerus sneered as he slowly released his divine pressure.

The weight of his aura pressed down on the Saiyans like a mountain. For any normal being, just standing would be impossible.

But Goku and Vegeta stood their ground, their eyes sharp and unshaken.

"As the God of Destruction, you're pretty rude," Goku said coldly. "If you're looking for a fight… I'll take you on!"

Beerus smirked. "Arrogant little Saiyan. You think defeating Frieza makes you worthy to stand against me? Don't make me laugh."

His golden eyes narrowed. "You're just a wild monkey who doesn't know his place."
