Chapter 20 - Erasing the Timeline? Goosebumps!

Saying "worry before the world worries, and rejoice after the world rejoices" might be a bit of an exaggeration. However, for Tony Stark, knowing about certain future risks meant he absolutely couldn't just stand by and do nothing.

"If there's information that's sufficiently dangerous, remember to alert me!" Tony Stark said.

"Of course, sir!" Jarvis replied.

Meanwhile, in Lin Feng's New York penthouse, he was unaware that his diary had already sparked immense excitement within S.H.I.E.L.D. and with Tony Stark.

At this moment, he was checking the progress bar in his mind, and saw he was just a little bit away from being able to draw another prize.

"I need to push a little harder. Upload a video; that should be enough to fill the progress bar!" Lin Feng thought for a moment and immediately made a decision.

He was starting to get goosebumps himself as he wrote in his diary. The content included Thanos snapping his fingers, alien invasions, and the entire city turning into zombies. These things weren't fake; they were events that could potentially become real timelines.

Lin Feng didn't know if he was currently on an extremely dangerous Timeline, nor did he know if Kang the Conqueror, the one behind the TVA right now, had already been taken down by Loki, or if Loki had become the God of Stories.

The whole situation was a mess, and he could only try his best to increase his strength.

For now, the quickest and best way was to draw a lottery. If he could get something good, his strength would immediately get a huge boost.

Lately, he had tried randomly uploading some videos, all filled with the jumbled memories in his mind, but the progress bar barely moved.

So he realized that it had to be related to Marvel for it to increase significantly.

Let me see… Thor should be about to be banished from Asgard by his father, Odin. It should be around the same year that Tony Stark became Iron Man. Following the normal course of events, it's another prince's adventure story, a prince lost in immense power, eventually exiled, and during his exile, he understands and elevates himself, and finally finds himself!

What a cliché plot!

But, let's hope this isn't the Timeline where Thor gets shot by Hawkeye. Those are all incorrect Timelines. God knows how they'll be handled in the end. Wouldn't want to be Erased!

Just when everyone thought Lin Feng's diary entry was over, new text suddenly appeared.

Upon seeing the words "Asgard," the identity of the Thor mentioned earlier was almost certain. The Norse god of thunder, Thor, son of Odin.

There are many thunder gods in various pantheons, but if the preceding modifier is Asgard, then there is only one Thor.

"Damn, what were we just saying? Speak of the devil!" Natasha Romanoff couldn't help but say. "The Thor mentioned in Lin Feng's diary is not only a god, but he also has a god-king backing him, the Odin from Norse mythology!"

Everyone looked at each other, a little surprised. If this was true, it meant the existence of these gods might not be an isolated incident. Instead, there might be a whole pantheon. Just thinking about it made them feel suffocated.

"If we assume what Lin Feng's diary says is true, then this Thor's existence is real, and the god-king Odin behind him is also real. And if Norse mythology exists, then it also means that the gods in other mythologies might also exist!" Agent Hill said anxiously. "If it's just the gods, that's fine, but if there are also various demons and devils, will someone try to summon them? Are we going to have to fight all sorts of demons then?"

"It's hard to say; it doesn't seem impossible now!" Coulson said.

Natasha thought for a moment and said, "From what the diary mentions, it sounds like the plot of some Hollywood movie. Someone gets lost in their power, then is sent to reflect, and finally finds themselves again, right?"

"Maybe it really is just a story, Nat!" Clint Barton chuckled. "After all, Lin Feng already complained that it's a cliché!"

"But the real trouble is this, Barton!" Nick Fury said, pointing at the words in the diary. "It seems that in a certain Timeline, or rather, in a possible future, you once shot and killed Thor. You, a mere mortal, slaying a god! Barton, you're going to be famous!"

"No, no, no, that's impossible, it can't be!" Clint Barton's first reaction was disbelief, he couldn't believe it, and he wouldn't.

The other person was the supposedly all-powerful Thor, and he was just an ordinary person with a bit of fighting ability.

And, he couldn't imagine how furious Asgard would be if he really did accidentally shoot and kill Thor in the future.

A war between humans and gods might break out!

"But what does Lin Feng mean by Timeline? An incorrect Timeline? I have a bad feeling about this!" Natasha Romanoff said. "So, there are correct and incorrect Timelines? Who defines what's correct? Who defines what's incorrect?"

"The real problem isn't who defines what's right and wrong, but what 'Erase' actually means," Nick Fury instinctively felt that the word "Erase" must represent something terrifying.

He couldn't imagine what it meant for a Timeline to be erased.

But he was inexplicably familiar with this process. In fact, S.H.I.E.L.D. handled various matters in the underworld in pretty much the same way, intervening when they deemed something incorrect.

For example, if some vampires wanted to hold a blood pool party in a city, they would intervene, and those reckless vampires would be erased by S.H.I.E.L.D.

Thinking of this, Nick Fury immediately felt his hair stand on end, making him feel as if someone was watching him from above.

Just as he controlled the order of the underground world on Earth.

"I feel like I don't recognize our world anymore. Is this the world we know?" Natasha Romanoff murmured.

Everyone else had the same expression; how did the world suddenly become unfamiliar?

"Regardless, Barton, you must be careful. If the future develops as Lin Feng said, we might have a diplomatic crisis, a diplomatic crisis with an alien planet!" Nick Fury reminded.
