"Then we just need to find a way to stop things from going in that direction!" Hawkeye Barton said. "If I don't shoot Thor, things probably won't turn out this way!"
Everyone thought about it, and it seemed that this was the only solution for now. They had absolutely no control over the situation.
Tony Stark also felt a headache coming on. The power Loki displayed proved that Asgard was definitely not a force to be trifled with. It was also the first time he had witnessed magic.
This was a realm he had never encountered before!
Especially his scientific mind, which couldn't even begin to imagine what rules governed the operation of this magic.
"But why are these gods so fragile? Is it because their defense comes from those strange armors, similar to those in Middle-earth?" Tony Stark stroked his goatee and thought for a moment before saying, "That arrow isn't anything special either. Even if an ordinary person were shot, they wouldn't necessarily die immediately. Yet, this Thor just died!"
He wanted to say, perhaps these weren't truly gods, but just ordinary people pretending to be. However, he remembered that Nick Fury had tested Thor's blood in the footage, and he had lived for at least a thousand years, which was impossible for a normal human.
"What if we don't treat them as all-powerful gods from mythology, but just as aliens?" Tony Stark changed his perspective. If they were as powerful as the gods in mythology, why bother fighting them? They should just surrender!
Those gods could open the heavens with a single strike.
This didn't even account for the various different mythological systems.
But the fact that Thor had been killed by an arrow gave him a whole new perspective: these gods might not be the all-powerful beings of myth.
Instead, they might be a type of alien, stronger than humans, with a power system they didn't yet understand. Let's call it magic?
Thinking this, Tony Stark suddenly felt more confident. The more you know, the less you fear.
As long as they have a health bar, he'd kill a god!
"But why would Thor be thrown down from the Norse Celestial Palace by his father? Are there power struggles within Asgard?" Tony Stark couldn't help but speculate. "And when did Loki become the legitimate ruler of Asgard? What about the other gods?"
The information he had was still too limited. On this timeline, which Lin Feng called incorrect, such things had happened, but the only gods who had appeared so far were Thor and the god of mischief, Loki.
"Jarvis, increase the effort to gather information on Norse mythology. I want to see a compiled document as soon as possible!" Tony Stark said. "This Lin Feng is becoming more and more mysterious!"
Lin Feng didn't care about the uproar his diary had caused. He immediately started today's lottery with a grin. The energy bar in his mind was finally full again.
"Draw!"
A translucent roulette wheel appeared in front of him, spinning rapidly. After a moment, it finally stopped.
"Congratulations, Host, you have drawn the Homelander template (initial stage). Would you like to extract it?"
Lin Feng was overjoyed. Homelander! He was like a little Superman, or rather, Superman was like a little Homelander. You could almost say he was a character designed based on the Superman template.
Although his reputation was terrible, his strength was undeniably formidable.
Extremely terrifying!
"But this initial stage... never mind, let's receive it first!" Lin Feng said.
A moment later, a burst of energy surged into his body, instantly making him feel an urge to release it. The energy even formed a ball of light, enveloping him for a long time before finally dissipating.
Lin Feng's figure was revealed, drenched in sweat.
"Homelander's template, the initial stage?" Lin Feng felt the surging energy within his body. A progress bar appeared in his mind, representing the fusion progress of Homelander's initial panel.
It was only about fifty percent fused currently, with the rest requiring time to strengthen gradually.
But even with this level of modification, Lin Feng discovered that he had undergone a tremendous transformation. His body was already at the peak of human standards, but still within the realm of a normal, flesh-and-blood being.
Now, he had surpassed that level. He went to the kitchen and scratched himself with a knife, only leaving a faint mark, without even a trace of blood.
Then, he began testing in the gym of his large apartment, testing speed, strength, endurance, and all-around physical attributes.
Just his strength alone was five times stronger than before the modification, already qualifying as super strength.
Additionally, there was super speed, super endurance, super recovery, super hearing, super vision, and more!
It could be said that he was now completely "un-human," taking the first step toward becoming something else!
However, he was disappointed that he hadn't yet awakened Homelander's superpowers, such as flight and heat vision. He estimated that these would awaken only after a deeper level of fusion.
"It's a pity it's not Superman's bloodline. If it were, that would be amazing!" Lin Feng sighed.
Although Superman has the weakness of kryptonite and zero magic resistance, his upper limit is truly impressive. As long as he gets enough sunlight, he's truly invincible.
In terms of physical attacks, he has almost no rivals!
If he had awakened Superman's bloodline, even if Thanos was in front of him, he could force the guy to kneel and admit his mistakes.
Moreover, Superman has comic book versions, where figures like Golden Age Superman and Silver Age Superman have astonishing upper limits. If they reached their peak, they could even surpass the universe; blowing out a sun with a single breath wouldn't be a problem.
But Lin Feng quickly suppressed this greedy thought. Although it wasn't Superman, didn't Homelander claim to be a mini-Superman? Maybe he could draw him someday.
Only now did Lin Feng's sense of insecurity ease slightly. Unlike others, he was very clear about how absurd this world truly was.
Unlike the plot of the so-called Sacred Timeline, in some parallel universes, destroying the world was very common. For example, Doctor Strange, Stephen Strange, had messed up the universe more than once, making him one of the most dangerous figures in many universes.
The superheroes and supervillains in these parallel universes didn't have any protagonist or supporting character halos; they could die at any moment.
Next week, it's going on the trial run. A new experience for an old author, please support it with your votes when the time comes!
