All living begins have souls and minds. Without soul or mind, you are nothing but either a living shell or a fragment of the world. Soul have Ying and Yang, which is the nature's balance, while mind control the balance of it.Unbalance nature brings chaos and impurities, attracting the dark side of the nature.
The nature balance is deteriorated by the higher intellectual beings. The higher the intelligence, the more it corrupt the souls thus resulting in deterioration of nature. Mankind are the most intelligent livings, a selfish nature of mankind results in corruption of Ying and Yang. The rise of mankind comes with the rise of nature's corruption. Mankind had make a measure against the collective mass of impurities and its attraction by doing exorcisms. Exorcists were thus born onto the era of mankind against the impurities.
-In the night of the year 20XX, 22:46, Kametsuki Bridge,
Sparks of lights flash as the metal clinking noises echo throughout the neighborhood. A fight between a young boy, Sakuma Koyoka, and a demon had been going on since the dawn of the day and already hitting the midnight.
"Give up, boy....," the demon voice carrying a tone of light and mockery. "You can't win against me no matter what. We been at it for who knows how long. Even I got bored of fighting with you." The demon rubbing its neck, "you are one hell of an Exorcist, I will give you that. I knew Exorcist were persistent but to this extent is not something I was hoping for."
The boy launch to slash the demon with exorcism sword, the demon evade and land the blow to the young boy's abdomen, sending him backward a bit and make him get on his knees.
"I can't lose here..." out of his breath from fatigue.
"Not like this, I can't be a failure and smear dirt on the name of Koyoka family." He murmured. Gripping tight on his sword, "I can hold on a bit longer, help will arrive soon," his hope not falter.
The demon approaching slowly, floating, " Finally, going down huh?"
His voice mockingly, "even someone as talentless as you can hold me back for this long, Exorcists are more of a pain than I initially thoughts." He continues "but I must thank you for your willing sacrifice of your body to me, fighting me alone was a bad choice anyone could make."
The boy swing his sword as demon gets into his range of attack. The demon easily dodge and kick him in the side of his abdomen sending him flying to the rail guard of the bridge completely exhausted, eyes lids shut close. The demon approach the boy incautious, "You were pushing your body to limit, using enchantment talismans on your eyes just so you can fight and die to the demon. You are just a foolish brat." The demon grab him from his throat to pick him up from the ground, " I will put your body to great use, spreading chaos and collect impurities."
"What are you doing to my brother?" A loud voice echo through the dark night breaking the silence of the neighborhood.
A man run toward the bridge with all his might. As he was running toward the bridge, the demon already started transferring his souls and mind into the body of defeated Sakuma Koyoka.
"Kinda late to the party ain't ya," the demon smiling at the man running toward him.
The man pull out his talismans while rushing and start chanting his mantra to attack the demon. By the time his attack reach, the demon body had started to disintegrate into smoke and ash. The essence still flowing into the young boy, standing still, holding onto his sword but eyes still tide close.
The man drop to his knees, "I was late", tears start streaming down his face, his head now facing toward the pavement below.
"I am sorry…..I should have finish the job faster and come her faster..I am sorry for being weak as your elder brother," he apologizes to the still standing body of his brother while sobbing.
"No…." a silent voice of a young girl. "Big brother, it can't be real, Oochi-Big brother….. is that Sakuma-Big brother?" The girl still cannot believe her eyes, the expression showing the stage of denial.
"I am sorry, Maiko-Chan, I was late… the demon got your big brother, there is no turning back now", the man name Oochi, still on his knees sobbing while apologizing to their little sister.
"Ready up for the purification, Maiko.." the man get up from his knees and pull out talisman from his kimono.
As Oochi was getting up, Sakuma's eyes open and his body start twitching start from fingers to his legs. He raise the sword he is holding with one hand and grab it with both hand. He slowly, struggling, aim his heart with the sword.Blood coming out from his eyes, nose and mouth from the previous battle against demon.
"YOU WILL GO DOWN TOGETHER WITH ME DEMON,YOU ARE NOW TRAPPED IN MY BODY,IF I DIE RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW, YOU WILL BE DRAG BACK TOGETHER TO HELL!!!!!" he shouts with his last might.He plunges the sword right through his heart, the sword pierces through his body like butter, blood spraying everywhere to rail guard, pavement and Oochi Koyoka. The once white kimono now stained with the blood of his brother.
The force was strong enough to drag him backward, slipping from the bridge, falling into the river below.
"I am sorry Oochi, Maiko...,"he smile as he fall down to the river.A splash of water from the river can be heard. Both Oochi and Maiko still standing processing what happened. Oochi rush toward the rail guard look down into the river looking for the body of his brother. Maiko's leg finally gives out as she drop down onto the pavement.
Oochi rush down into the river, searching for his dead brother body in the water like a mad person. When the dawn hit, Oochi is fatigued from searching hi younger brother body.
-Noon after 3 weeks had passes , Kayoka Household
Times passed, Police were involved in the searching but to no avail the body was nowhere to be found. Some say the body disintegrated into ash since it was then the demon. But some concluded he was dragged back into hell together with the demon. Oochi had holed up in his room since that day, starving himself in grief of losing his beloved younger brother. Maiko, on the other hand - sitting at the front door stair, staring at the sky, waiting for a miracle of his brother knocking the front door.
Suddenly there is a knock at the door, a servant rush to open the door only to found the policeman carry the news of they have given up on the search of the body.
"We can't even hold a proper funeral for Sakuma-Big brother." Her eyes are still red, wet and puffy - showing signs of her countless sobbing and cries. She look up at the sky, "the sky is still blue just like that day."
