Chapter 1: The Awakening
In the deepest abyss of the dimensional void, something stirred.
Chains of ancient chakra, older than time itself, cracked and fell away. A figure rose from a throne of bone-white stone, his robes drifting like shadows in water.
Long silver hair spilled over his shoulders. Horns curved like crescent moons from his head. Both eyes… Rinne-Sharingan.
Shukuyomi Ōtsutsuki had awakened.
He reached out with his senses… and felt nothing. No kin. No clan. Only a faint echo of their power, and the stench of those who had destroyed them.
"So… they are gone," his voice was low, cold, and heavy with centuries of malice.
"And the insects who slew them still walk the realms of life."
His gaze turned toward a pale blue star. Earth.
With one step, he tore open the void.
