Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 01: From Flames to the Kingswood

all kinds of Haki from One Piece in a simple, no-confusing way:

1. Observation Haki(Kenbunshoku Haki)

What it does: Lets you sense people, animals, or even their emotions without seeing them.

Upgrades:

Sense where enemies are, even if hidden.

Feel their intent — like if they're about to attack.

Advanced: See a short glimpse into the future.

Example: Katakuri predicting attacks before they happen.

2. Armament Haki(Busoshoku Haki)

What it does: Coats your body or weapons in invisible armor, making attacks stronger and allowing you to hit Logia-type users.

Upgrades:

Turn it black and shiny (Hardening).

Shape it around weapons or body parts.

Advanced: Let your Haki go inside the opponent's body to damage them internally.

Example: Luffy punching Kaido and hurting him inside.

3. Conqueror's Haki(Haoshoku Haki)

What it does: A rare type only certain people are born with — lets you knock out weaker opponents with your willpower alone.

Upgrades:

Knock out many enemies at once.

Advanced: Coat your attacks with Conqueror's Haki for massive power boosts (like Luffy vs Kaido).

Example: Shanks scaring sea monsters or knocking out people just by walking in.

💡 In short:

Observation = Sense & predict.

Armament = Armor & power.

Conqueror's = Overwhelm with willpower.

CHAPTER 01: From Flames to the Kingswood

The scent of burning plastic and acrid smoke was the last memory of a life that was. Adam Stiles, a 28-year-old software engineer and an unapologetic Game of Thrones nerd, had been in the middle of a marathon binge when a faulty laptop charger decided to go full dragon. The fire alarm shrieked, a high-pitched wail that was immediately drowned out by the roar of the inferno consuming his small Chicago apartment. He'd tried to get out, but the smoke had been a physical weight, a suffocating blanket that pressed down on his lungs, turning the air into poison. His last coherent thought, a desperate, half-formed plea as the world went orange and black, was, "I need Haki to survive this…" He'd been watching the first episode, the one where the Stark kids find the direwolves, and the irony wasn't lost on him. The screen had faded to a final, tragic scene of a snow-covered forest, then nothing at all. He collapsed, the heat blistering his skin, the sounds of the fire eating his world whole. And then, there was only a void.

He floated in the blackness for an eternity, or maybe just a second. Time was meaningless here. There was no up, no down, no sound, no light. He was just a speck of consciousness, adrift in the vast emptiness. A voice, not a physical sound but a thought in his head, echoed through the darkness. It was a cold, alien voice, devoid of emotion, like a computer's greeting. "SURVIVE WESTEROS OR PERISH." The words were a command, a challenge, a sentence. He didn't have time to question it before the void erupted in a kaleidoscope of colors and sensations, a violent rebirth.

Adam's consciousness slammed back into a body, but it wasn't his old one. The first thing he registered was the feeling of rough, coarse fabric against his skin. The second was the smell: a deep, rich aroma of pine and damp earth, of rotting leaves and ancient trees. It was the complete opposite of the burnt plastic and smoke he'd last experienced. He was lying face down in a thick layer of leaf litter, the ground cold and hard beneath him. He pushed himself up, his muscles responding with a surprising new strength, and looked around. Towering trees with massive, gnarled trunks formed a thick canopy, blocking out most of the sky. The forest was ancient, alive, and utterly alien. The sounds of distant hoofbeats and the crack of a twig under some unseen animal's weight filled the air. This was not a park. This was a forest. This was... the Kingswood.

"Okay, so I died. That sucks. But I'm alive. Also, my voice sounds… different. Deeper. And my body feels… fitter. This is the part where the System or the Goddess or whatever shows up, right? The part where I get a game-breaking power and a quest log? Please tell me there's a quest log. I need a quest log."

As if summoned by his thought, a faint, translucent blue interface flickered into existence in front of his eyes. It was like something straight out of an old-school video game, a semi-transparent HUD that only he could see. The text was glowing, a strange, ethereal light that didn't cast a shadow. He blinked, rubbing his eyes, but it remained. He was a 28-year-old software engineer, he knew an interface when he saw one.

Adam just stared at the text, his brain slowly processing the words. Haki. Haki. Not from this world. Not from this story. From One Piece. The power system that let you punch a logia user and knock out a hundred thousand people at once. The system that gave you a sixth sense and a will of pure, unadulterated dominance. He was a walking, talking, breathing cheat code. An isekai protagonist in the most brutal, most grounded fantasy world he could imagine.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me. This is the best day of my life. Or the worst. I haven't decided yet. I'm in Westeros, a place where people die for looking at someone the wrong way, and I have… anime superpowers. This is like bringing a plasma rifle to a knife fight. I'm either going to be the most powerful person here, or the dumbest. But let's be honest, I'm probably going to be both."

He had to test it. He focused on a nearby tree, a massive oak with a thick, moss-covered trunk. He closed his eyes, thinking of hardening his hand, of turning it into a weapon. He felt a weird sensation, a kind of mental strain, a flicker of something inside him. He opened his eyes and saw a faint, almost invisible sheen on his fist. He punched the tree. It was a normal punch, a hard one, but not enough to hurt the tree. But his hand… his hand felt fine. Not even a single scrape. It was a start.

He tried again, this time on a rock. He hit it with more force, and this time, he felt a slight tingling sensation in his hand, a little bit of the pain getting through. He needed to get better at this. He needed to be able to fully coat his hand, to make it as hard as steel. This wasn't a game, it was his life.

Next, he tried Observation Haki. He closed his eyes again, trying to extend his senses, to feel the auras of the things around him. He felt the cold earth beneath his feet, the gentle rustle of leaves in the wind. Then, a new sensation, a faint, reddish-brown glow, a tiny, pulsing light a few feet away. He opened his eyes and saw a rabbit, its nose twitching, its body still. It was an aura of pure, instinctual life. A small, insignificant blip in the grand scheme of things, but it was there. It was real.

[OBSERVATION USES TODAY: 1/10]

He tried Conqueror's Haki. This one was the most intimidating. The power to knock people out with sheer force of will. He looked around for a good target. A small, gray wolf, its fur matted and dirty, was watching him from a distance, its yellow eyes glinting in the dappled sunlight. It was a perfect target. He focused all his intent, all his willpower, on the animal. He didn't know what he was doing, he just willed it to submit, to feel the weight of his presence.

The wolf, which had been slowly circling him, suddenly stopped. It let out a small whine, its ears flattening against its head, its tail dropping between its legs. It took a few steps back, its body trembling, and then, without a single look back, it turned and bolted into the trees. It hadn't passed out, not even close, but it had submitted. It had felt his will.

Adam let out a small, triumphant cheer. "Kneel to the OP king, pup!" he said to the now-empty forest, a grin spreading across his face.

[CONQUEROR'S: PRE-BEGINNER (2/100)]

[CONQUEROR'S USES TODAY: 1/10]

He spent the rest of the day testing his new powers, a grin on his face the whole time. He was a god in this world. A living, breathing cheat code. He used his Haki over and over, pushing his limits, trying to get a feel for how it worked. He hardened his arms, he sensed the auras of birds and squirrels, he intimidated a whole flock of crows into flying away. He was having the time of his life. And then, it happened.

He was in the middle of trying to intimidate a squirrel when his head felt like it was being split in two by a dull hammer. A wave of exhaustion, so profound and so sudden that it made him dizzy, washed over him. His legs gave out from under him, and he collapsed onto the ground, panting, his vision swimming. The interface, which had been a constant presence in his sight, flickered and went dark. He had pushed too hard. He had used his Haki too much.

[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION]

[HAKI LIMIT EXCEEDED. HOST WILL FEEL EXTREME FATIGUE. DAILY USES WILL BE RESTORED AT DAWN.]

Adam just groaned, his body feeling like a lead weight. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me. Ten shots a day? Lame nerf. I can't even go all out and blow up a mountain. I'm stuck here, a pre-beginner, with a low mana pool. This is the worst fantasy MMO ever. The grind is real."

He lay there for what felt like hours, his body slowly recovering, his mind racing. He was in the Kingswood. That meant he was near King's Landing. Robert's boar hunt was coming up. He knew what happened next. The show's timeline was about to start. Ned Stark was about to be asked to be the Hand of the King, and the entire world was about to go to hell. Ned would die, a war would start, and everything would be awful. He couldn't let that happen.

"I can't just let it happen. I have the Haki. I have the meta-knowledge. I have the power to change things. I have to find Ned. I have to warn him. I have to save him. My old life is gone. My old world is gone. This is my new life, my new quest. And I am going to be the hero of this story, not the dead guy who got transmigrated into a crappy world with a lame nerf. No, I am going to be the god of this world. The king of this game. It's time to find the main quest giver. It's time to find Ned Stark."

He slowly got to his feet, his muscles still protesting, his head still a bit foggy. He looked to the north, to where Winterfell lay, a distant, impossible dream. He then looked to the south, to where King's Landing was, a city of a million people and a million lies. The path was clear. He had to go south, to the Kingswood, to the heart of the beast. To the place where the plot would start, and where he would change it. He was a player in the game now, not just a spectator. And the first move was to save the good guy.
