On some off shore oil rig, the frosty air creating an unsettling atmosphere combined with the cloudy night atmosphere there was a young man covered head to toe in insulators.
A ridiculous outfit that clashed with his blue eyes that seemed drained he was silently observing the frozen sea.
His braeth was mist like and was still shivering despite the heavy wear on his body. Beside him was an old man who had a slightly more muscular build to himself. The only distinguishing age factor that he had was his full set of white hairs aside from that and the wrinkles one might think he was still deep into his prime.
"Grandpa why am I here again?"
The youth moaned turning his bloodshot eyes that clearly clashed with his pristine blue eyes.
"Well listening to you crying over that whore was annoying."
The man responded in a teasing tone making the bloodshot eyes watery and a bit of bloodlust hidden within their sad exterior.
"Don't call Xiaomei a whore!"
He said throwing a punch which the old man caught with a sully look on his face
"You've lost too much muscle you are barely stronger than an average adult."
"Ugg just tell me why i was dragged here?"
"To forget your pains of course."
"Simple ale would have done the job just fine you moron."
"You want to have a beer belly now, how will you get heartbroken again if you can't attract women anymore."
The young man felt a lump of anger rise in his throat and it threatened to suffocate any reasonable thought processes he may have had at the time.
"That was a one time thing."
"Then why are you so hung up then? You know grandma loved standing on that same platform kiddo."
The young man then felt a bit ashamed his mood as well as the atmosphere tured sully as the two one with wonderous brown eyes and the other with shattered blue eyes stared into each other.
"I'm so sorry grandps you've been through way more shit than i have."
One would have thought that would fuel some sort of emotional connection between the two but instead, that silly remark earned the young man a slap to the back almost toppling him over the rails.
"What was that for?"
A smile formed on the old man's ebony face as he seemed deep on thought for just a second.
"A problem is still a problem no matter how small it is never ignore your hole just beause somebody else is in a ditch."
The young man rolled his eyes a small crease appearing on his snow white skin.
"Perfect morel lesson, granpa i think i will turn out to be a perfect memeber of society."
"Are you sure you are my grandson?"
The young man's face crumpled staring at his grandfather with a matter of fact look on his face.
"And why is that suspicion a thing?"
"First you're dumber that bricks."
"When have i ever been dumber than bricks?"
"Proposing to a girl you have not been in a eight year relationship with."
"I think 6 years is a perfectly fine timeline to ask for a hand in marriage."
"Dude if you have been in a relationship for that long and she never dropped hints then she just doesn't wanna ta..."
This time the man got a gut punch one that he couldn't really dodge or intercept. Still he did not faulter it was as if inconsequential.
The old man grinned widely and proudly seeing that his grandson's efforts turned futile.
"Second, you think that your grandfather is the same breed as you."
"We get it you are indeed built different still why am I here?"
"Just look up in about five minutes you will see something out of this world."
The young man was skeptical to a large extent this grandfather of his was an in and out joker.
Half the time he wondered why he had the most crappy luck from suddenly landing in China to the once love of his live rejecting him in cold blood to being stuck with this over youthful man of a grandfather.
He couldn't really believe how fast things came along under the careful baneful watch of the river of time.
Gazing at the stormy sky that had slowly started to part revealing a small segment of the stary sky.
He unconsciously wanted to smile but the pain held on to him tight not allowing him to even harbor a single positive thought.
Time slowly ebbed as his mind's thoughts flowed, it was a perfectly sane interaction one that he could not truly appreciate at his current mental capacity.
Soon the clouds disappeared from view a solemn look on the old man's face slowly plastering on his face gazing at the stary sky.
"I guess It's finally time."
The old man said seemingly conversing with himself a trait the young man paid no attention to instead, his gaze turned cold at the glittering stars that started being invaded by streaks of cosmic paint.
"An Aurora that has the same eye color as grandma, I can see why she would love it here."
The young man commented gazing at the old man who suddenly became sentimental his steely brown eyes silently gushing out droplets of tears.
He wanted to comfort him,
"Pain is a natural process of healing, you should not interfere child!"
An ethereal immaculately soft toned voice rang in his eyes bewitching him as he found himself unable to move.
All he could do was stare at the old man questions burning intensely in his very gaze.
Before the old man seemed like an emotional wreck but the voice broke a cord in his mind, the transformation from a crying wreck to a laughing demon.
He cackled wildly staring at the vast expanse his gaze turning provocative against the very sky.
"Has living too long shattered you Isembert? You are making a scene."
The voice rang out against but unlike last time the young man did not feel any intent it was not directed to him but his grandfather.
"No but I'm not willing to let another thing I love go."
The man said as a grey smoke emanated from his body sending the stationary young man whirling.
Almost fling out of the ship he luckily held on to a rail as wild waves of power raging from his grandfather's body.
'What the fuck?'
Thinking that this was already an unreasonable scene he did not expect that the streaks of ionized air would swirl majestically forming a figure that caried an immesly beautiful visage that would put his ex girlfriend to shame.
Complete with wings and everything it cruely and disdainfully gazed at the old man exuding grey fumes.
"You really think you can contend with existence herself."
"You really must want death, huh?"
The being melodically said a slight eyeroll accompanied a yawn from his grandfather.
"And you yap too much, tell that master of yours to come out, a mere clone wont be enough to satisfy me."
"Presumptuous!"
The being said before raising her hand something strange moving in rhythm with it, the young man could sense it but not see it.
Slowly bringing her finger down the young felt a terrifying force leave her heading in a straight lie to his grandfather who just stood there silently basking in the violent aura that forced the young man to let go of the rails.
Falling to the ice he gazed up seeing the moon floating in two perfectly cut hemisphere.
This broke his complete understanding of movement how could anything posses anything close to those maddening levels of power that this being held.
This confusion soon turned to horror as he gazed at the boat where his grandfather was and to his surprise everything seemed perfectly fine.
"Good are you doe if you are call that bitch here right now."
Isembert barked making the being frown a murderous intent rising inside her wanting to cleave this idiot into minced meet.
The stars stopped her as they seemed to vibrate turning an ominous red bathing the astral view in a bloody red.
"We clearly had a deal, honor it you dumb primate."
The cosmos echoed as everything seemed to come to a stop even the trembling young man.
"What if I don't want to?"
The old man provocatively said disappearing from the scene along with the ethereal being and the red tinged sky.
As soon as they left the parted clouds rumbled with golden hues while the young man was deeply unconscious unaware of the coming storm, culminating above him.
