The night stretched endlessly above them, stars glimmering faintly through a veil of clouds. The forest below whispered with the wind, but on the cliff, it was just the two of them,Lucas and Rosalie wrapped in each other's arms as if the rest of the world no longer existed.
Lucas tightened his hold, his voice low, almost fragile."Rose… are you worried about me?"as he noticed her false smile
Rosalie stilled as her golden eyes rose to meet his, pain flickering through them like lightning in a storm."Yes," she admitted softly. "I can't help it. I worried about you… and about my family. If other vampires find out what you can do and if they discover your powers, they will try everything to kill you."
Her words lingered in the silence between them. Lucas didn't answer right away. He felt the weight of her fear, and deep down, he knew she was right. His powers made him different and perhaps even dangerous. He wanted to believe he could protect her, protect them all. But what if he wasn't? What if he will be like real Yorrichi as he also lost his wife and his unborn baby? The thought hollowed him from the inside out.
Rosalie searched his silence, her arms tightening around him as though she could shield him from the world. She buried her face against his chest, clinging to him.
Then, quietly but firmly, Lucas spoke."I've decided."as if he had make his decision.
Rosalie lifted her head, confusion flashing in her eyes."Decided… what?" Her voice trembled as she saw him smile at her.
His lips curved into the faintest smile, his gaze steady, unwavering."Turn me into a vampire."as he said to her with a determination in his voice.
His words struck her like ice as she pulled back instantly, staring at him in disbelief.
"No… no, Lucas," she whispered, her voice sharp with panic. "I won't. I can't take your humanity from you and your are only 17 year old and have long life ahead of you."as she said to him with a pleading look in her eyes as if saying to not think like that.
Her hands pressed desperately against his chest, as if trying to push the idea away.
"If I turn you, you could lose your breath—the technique you've created and trained so hard for. Everything you've worked to become… gone. I won't let you throw it away. Not for me."she said as venom started to gather in her eyes which didn't fall.
Lucas met her gaze with unshakable calm, his expression soft but resolute."Rosalie," he murmured, his tone tender yet firm. "None of that matters. What I gain is something I've never had before and that is you. You know I grew up with nothing, no one. But now… I have you. I have all of you. I don't care about powers, not if they put you in danger. Not if they put the people I've grown to care in danger."he said while smiling at her and as he found the love she had for him in her eyes.
He reached up, brushing his thumb against her cheek. His voice lowered to a whisper.
"I thank God every single day that he gave me you, I don't care if I lost my power and it's not like I wish to have this power and that's worth any sacrifice."as if trying to convince her.
Rosalie's breath caught. Her eyes shimmered, venom gathering like tears she couldn't shed. His words cut straight through her, leaving her both shattered and whole as if she know what he say is right but.
"Lucas…" she whispered, her voice breaking. "Are you really sure? You won't regret this? Not ever?"she said as if trying to think with logic as if to maintain both his and her family safety, she knows he might be rushing in his decision.
He leaned closer, his forehead brushing hers, his breath tickling her face and his gaze steady, unwavering—locked with hers.
"I've never been more certain of anything in my life. In our life we have to choose a harder path over a simple path to achieve something."he said a quote he had listened in his previous life.
Above them, the stars seemed to burn brighter, as if the universe itself paused to acknowledge the gravity of his choice.

Later, standing before the entire Cullen family, Lucas held his katana at his side. Every pair of eyes was fixed on him and his blade, caught between awe and silence. Even Edward's composure faltered, shock clear in his expression as he listened to them.
"Son," Esme said gently, her voice warm with concern, "don't rush into this. Take some time. Think it through."as if trying to convince him.
Lucas smiled politely, though his decision was etched into every line of his face."Sorry, ma'am. But I've already made my choice. And I won't change it."as he said with firm face as if he won't change his decision.
Esme fell silent, her heart torn between admiration and worry for him even if she had meet him only today, when she was standing in front of him in this morning she feels as if she is looking at her son not a lover of Rosalie.
Alice, Jasper, Emmett, Lisa—even Edward—were stunned by the depth of his conviction as they also tried to convince him even Edward was saying not to. Rosalie's confession of his abilities had already shaken them and they also ask him to show them, but hearing his willingness to give up everything for their safety left them wordless. He had known them for barely a week, and yet he was ready to sacrifice it all.
Rosalie's gaze never left him. Her eyes burned with love, though fury simmered in her chest. Fury at the power branded onto him—the cursed mark that made him different. If not for that, tonight would have been nothing more than a beautiful date. Now, everything felt fragile.
Carlisle's silence was heavy, guilt threading through his features. As their leader, he should have tried harder to sway Lucas—but he knew the boy's mind was unshakable. And he knew something else: if Lucas had not been Rosalie's mate, if fate had aligned differently, they might never have survived their first encounter with him. His strength, even as a human, was something beyond their league as they have seen him moving with blade through their own eyes it was like a warrior dancing with his blade.
Edward said nothing after that, his jaw tense, his hands tight at his sides. He didn't dare speak against Lucas—not with the weight of that sunlit power lingering in his memory as he saw him performing in front of him.

In Rosalie's room, Lucas lay on the bed with her beside him as he reached up, cupping her cheek tenderly."Don't be sad. I never wanted to give you pain, only happiness and it's for your safety."as he tried to make her relax.
Rosalie's throat tightened. She wanted to cry, to scream, to run from the choice before them, but her dead heart wouldn't let her leave him. He had already lived alone for so long. To abandon him now would break him and she don't know what will he do after she tried to leave him.
"Don't worry, my love," Lucas whispered, his gaze soft but unyielding. "The truth is… I feel like I need to change. My instincts keep telling me it's right as if my very being want me to change."as he said to her while thinking about him feeling like he will change for better and to be perfect, but he didn't know what change was that feeling is saying to him.
Rosalie stared at him, torn between hope and despair as she thought he was only trying to comfort her but she didn't realize he wasn't comforting her at all he was telling her the truth.
