Chapter 26 - FEAR

After kissing for what felt like eternity, their lips finally parted. Both of them smiled, their eyes locked, as if in that moment they had found everything they had ever longed for in their entire lives.

Lucas whispered"I love you, Rosalie Hale. Forever and ever" his voice thick with emotion as he pressed a tender kiss to her forehead.

Rosalie's still heart gave another powerful thump, her whole body trembles at his confession. Feeling his lips against her forehead, she closed her eyes, overwhelmed. "I love you too, Lucas Brightsun. Forever and ever," she breathed, her voice trembling with devotion as she wrapped her arms around him, clinging to him as if she wanted to merge into his very soul.

Lucas's smile widened until it nearly split his face. Without warning, he scooped Rosalie up into his arms and spun her around in circles, laughter bursting from his lips. "FINALLY! FINALLY, we're lovers—officially!" he shouted, as though announcing it to the whole world.

Rosalie's laughter spilled out like music as she listened to him. Watching him beam like a fool, spinning her around with pure joy, she felt something deep within her finally settle. He was the one—the only one she had been waiting for all these years. His happiness was radiant, and seeing it, Rosalie felt like she had just won the entire world.

When he finally set her down, Rosalie peppered his face with countless kisses, leaving Lucas stunned in place. He touched his cheeks in disbelief, feeling the lingering coolness of her lips everywhere. Rosalie only giggled at his dazed expression, before pulling him into another tight, all-encompassing embrace as he held her just as tightly, as if letting go was impossible.

The night deepened around them, the stars begins to shimmer above their head which usually can't be seen due to cloudy day. Wrapped in each other's arms, they stared at the breathtaking scene before them.

"Love," Lucas said softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face, "do you want to see something amazing?"as he said to her with a mystery.

"Anything you show me will always be amazing," Rosalie replied without hesitation, her voice spilling over with affection.

Lucas smirked at her answer and gently pulled away, heading toward his car. Curious, Rosalie tilted her head as she watched him open the trunk and see him pulling out a long case.

He placed it carefully on the hood, then opened it. To her shock, instead of an instrument, a beautiful but deadly katana lay inside.

"A blade?" Rosalie whispered in surprise, her hand instinctively reaching out as she picked it up and unsheathed it, her breath catching at the sight—its steel shimmered with flame-like patterns carved into its edge. Beautiful, yes, but dangerous—her instincts screamed her as if saying don't touch it.

"Yeah… a blade," Lucas said, watching her reaction closely with a smile. Taking it gently from her hand, the blade's color suddenly shifted, black steel glowing into a deep crimson. Heat radiated from it, making Rosalie gasp.

"I found this blade when I was living in Hoquiam," Lucas explained, his tone quiet but steady. "It was in a blacksmith's shop. The moment I touched it, these flame marks appeared on the blade—just like the mark on my forehead. Through that mark, I can turn it into this bright red form."as he said to her, making a story which God had installed in his brain

Rosalie's eyes widened, words failing her. "Your powers or to say this mark… they're so mysterious," she whispered, awed. In all her long immortal life, she had never witnessed something like this. It wasn't just strange—it was otherworldly, magical.

Lucas smiled faintly, sensing her wonder. "But this isn't the only thing I want to show you."as he said while winking towards her.

Before she could respond, his body blurred—moving with such speed that he left an afterimage hanging in the air and appeared far distance from her. Rosalie's eyes widened in shock; even her vampire reflexes couldn't fully register his movement.

"My love," his voice rang out, low and powerful, "what I'm about to show you is called… the Dance of the Fire God."The name alone sent shivers down Rosalie's spine as he said to her.

Lucas inhaled deeply, pulling in the huge amount of oxygen until his chest swelled as he closed his mouth. When he exhaled, white mist curled from the corners of his lips. Then, with fluid grace, he moved.

Sun Breathing: First Form – Dance

His blade sliced through the air, not with brute force, but with artistry. Each form flowed into the next like a flawless dance—elegant, beautiful, yet terrifyingly and lethal. Sparks of heat rippled through the air with every swing, the ground itself humming with invisible cuts.

Rosalie's lips parted, speechless as she looked at him performing sword technique like it was, a deadly ballet set ablaze by heat and precision. Watching him move, her chest tightened with both awe and something far more dangerous—desire. He looked impossibly beautiful, impossibly strong. In her eyes, he looked like a warrior dancing on a battlefield with his blade as he move.

When he finished, Lucas slid the blade back into its sheath with a sharp click. Turning to her, a playful smile tugged at his lips. "So… how was it?"as he said while pulling her back from shock.

Rosalie blinked back to herself, still reeling. "Beautiful… but dangerous," she admitted softly, her golden eyes searching his as if want the answer of a unspokend question.

"The Dance of the Fire God is a breathing technique I created," Lucas explained carefully, while apologizing to Yorrichi and the creator in his heart. " One day I got an idea while I was watching the sun hanging high in the sky which was rarely seen in this area, as my mark gives me the power to change my blade from black to red like a hot blade. I decided why not create a technique based on the sun heat phenomenons … and with the help of Transparent World, I created this technique."

Rosalie tilted her head, stunned eyes wide. "You… created this? But why?"

Lucas shrugged lightly, smiling sheepishly. "I don't know. I just thought it would be… cool. Why waste my talent when I can use it to look cool"he said as he gives her a silly answer like he was an idiot.

Rosalie rolled her eyes, though a small smile tugged at her lips which was replaced by seriousness.

"But Lucas," she said seriously, "that blade and your technique… they look like the perfect tools to hunt vampires."as she fear if some other vampire find out about his power they will try everything to kill him.

"I know," he replied, his tone firm. "But trust me, Rose—I'll only use this blade against true enemies . Against anyone who harms innocent people. Whether human… or vampire and never let them know about my secret."said as he saw her getting worried for him.

Her chest softened at his kind words, the sincerity in his voice soothing her heart but the fear inside didn't go, as she also had to think about her family as when other vampire find out about her mate ability. Smiling falsely which didn't get unnoticed by Lucas , Rosalie stepped into his arms again, pressing herself against him while thought flying in her mind.
