While floating, Lucas looked at all of them, but his eyes stopped at Rosalie who was looking at him with concern.
Smiling at her, Lucas slowly landed on the floor, as if he know how to control himself, as his feet touched the floor with a soft thud, the last traces of golden light present faded into the still air. For a heartbeat, silence ruled the room. No one dared to move, no one dared except Rosalie.
As though the silence was too unbearable, Rosalie moved and rushed forward in a blink and wrapped her arms around Lucas with a strength that would have crushed anyone else. As she hugged him her body trembled as she buried her face into his chest where the sun pattern was glowing faintly make her face glow, as her voice breaking with a raw edge she rarely allowed anyone to hear.
"Lucas,"whispered as she clung to him as if letting go would tear her apart, "you're here… you're alright?"her voice breaking as she asked him.
Lucas closed his arms around her, steady and gentle, his fingers threading through her golden hair as he felt her trembling against him, and his own chest tightened to which he leaned down, pressing his lips softly against the crown of her head as if reassuring her.
"I'm here, Rose," he whispered, his voice low, warm, and steadier than he expected. "I'm not going anywhere. I promised you. And I am fine"as he hugged her more tightly.
Her hands curled around him, desperate, like she needed to feel his every heartbeat. "Don't you dare scare me like that again. You don't know what it did to me… watching you lying there, not moving, not knowing if you'd ever wake up…"she said while with a almost broken heart as she didn't want to speak further.
Lucas pulled her back just enough to meet her eyes. Rosalie Hale, who had always been strong, untouchable, flawless to others, was breaking openly before him. "Rose,my love" he said softly with affection in his eyes, his thumb brushing her cheek, "I'm sorry. I told you that something will happen… but I'll never let you go through that again. Never."as he promised her.
Looking at them, the others present in the room finally relaxed, Carlisle as the coven leader stepped forward, his calm demeanor cracking under the weight of astonishment as he looked at him from up to down. His usually gentle eyes shimmered with awe, almost reverence. "Lucas… I've lived more than three centuries, and I have never-ever-seen anything like what just happened. That light… the transformation… what was that?"as he asked him respectfully as if it was natural.
Esme's hand was pressed over her mouth as he stepped beside her husband, her face expression caught between wonder and awe. "He was glowing, Carlisle. Glowing like the sun itself…"as she said like if she was looking at the sun intself in a human form.
Alice, practically vibrating, took a small step closer. Her voice was quick, high with frustration and amazement. "I couldn't see it comming, not a single flicker of a vision, I only saw you becoming a vampire. Do you know what that means?" She looked at Lucas with wide golden eyes, like he was the one puzzle she had to solve from the movement she saw his body rejected the venom."but you are looking cool in this outfit."while commenting with mischievous in her voice.
To which Emmett gave a low whistle, "Yeah Alice is right, Bro… I don't even know what to say. You're like, what, some kind of god or superhero? You should've warned me before pulling the whole sun-god cosplay thing. I was two seconds from dropping to my knees."as his face expression shows a mix of admiration and nerves.
The attempt at humor broke some of the tension, but his eyes betrayed something else as if they can't hide his deep awe while looking at him.
Lisa clutched Emmett's arm as she stared at Lucas with wide, unblinking eyes. Unlike the others, she didn't hide her emotions—her expression was open, raw, reflecting the wonder she felt.
"Em…"her voice hushed though it carried in the silence, "I've never seen anything like this. He isn't just… changed. He feels alive in a way none of us are."as she whispered while looking at the halo shining softly behind him.
Jasper shifted, his voice quiet, but his emotions leaked into the air—waves of awe, tension, and something close to reverence. "It doesn't feel dangerous," he murmured. "It feels… warm. Like sunlight on your skin after years in shadow. I've never felt anything like it."as he spoke to his heart.
Lucas finally lifted his gaze as he listened to them, meeting all of theirs eyes in turn with a smile on his face. The light in his chest pulsed once, as if the answer is before them, "I am no longer a human. I didn't become one of you either as the power in my body rejected the venom. I've become a spirit… a spirit like in fantasy, I became a spirit that represents the Sun."as he finally said, his words carried a resonance that filled the room when he said he represents the sun.
They stood in a shock as they hear him confessing what he has become, they didn't know if what he said is truth, because they didn't know spirit was real and it's not that they are denying it,as they are also the fantasy creature for human but looking at him like that they have to believe.
Edward's sharp eyes narrowed, though not in hostility, more in cautious wonder as he listened to his confession. "A spirit of sun… That explains the aura, the radiance, the transformation. When you hovered there it was like the sun itself breathed through you as we all glowed."as he process what he said and what he saw while mixing it both.
Rosalie's grip on him tightened again as he listened to his explanation, her head shaking lightly. "Spirit or whatever you are... you're still mine and always will. That's all I care about."as she gave him final answer to which they all smiled.
