Chapter 10 - 10: I Like Gender Equality

I watched as Aquaman's head fell to the ground, but I felt nothing. Absolutely nothing. Maybe it was because of the Anakin Skywalker template, but I didn't care at least I didn't feel guilty about killing a bastard like him.

I stopped holding Aquaman's body in the air, and his headless corpse collapsed to the ground.

I pulled Aquaman's trident out of his stomach and thought to myself, This trident will come in handy. Maybe I can use it to throw Diana off and end this with a single slash.

I walked out of the destroyed building only to see Manta's body lying there. Most likely Batman killed him. Well… at least he wasn't my problem anymore. But I was wondering where the others were. I didn't see Barry, Thomas, or Cyborg anywhere. The only thing around me were the bodies of Atlanteans and Amazons. Well I'll find them later. Right now, I need to find Wonder Woman, I told myself.

But then I noticed something ..... silence. Suspicious silence for what was supposed to be a war zone. I started running through the destroyed streets and buildings, and that's when I felt it, a massive collective intent to kill me.

I decided to trust my superhuman instincts and jumped to the side. The moment I did, a dozen arrows slammed into the spot I had just been standing on. I swallowed loudly. "If I hadn't jumped, that would've hurt like hell."

I looked up and saw a swarm of Amazons on the rooftops. They jumped down and surrounded me. I was now completely surrounded by a bunch of beautiful, barely dressed women. So… was I bothered by this? Meh. Not at all.

I raised my hands in a gesture of surrender, my charismatic smile spreading across my face. "Easy, ladies, I surrender."

From the crowd of Amazons, one stepped forward and like damn she had beautiful red hair and green eyes. Her face was partially covered by a helmet, with a small golden star on the forehead. Wait… I think I know her… isn't her name Artemis or something like that? Well, whatever. I think I just fell in love. Too bad we're enemies.

Artemis spoke: "We don't take prisoners." Then she raised her sword. "Kill him."

Damn, this girl wasn't exactly merciful. But that didn't bother me one bit. I could ignite my lightsaber at any moment, I had Aquaman's trident strapped to my back, and since my hands had been up the whole time, I was already prepared to use the Force.

A volley of arrows came at me, but this time I expected it. The arrows stopped midair in front of my hand. The Amazons looked at me in confusion, but the next second was filled with screams as I sent the arrows flying back at them. Many were fatally wounded, though the more experienced ones dodged or blocked with their shields. I sighed at the sight of the women's corpses and ignited my lightsaber.

"You picked the wrong target, ladies. I'm an advocate for gender equality."

The remaining Amazons looked at me like I was an idiot. There were only about ten left now. Of course, Artemis had survived but she looked like she wanted to torture me for centuries in every way imaginable. Guess she didn't appreciate seeing her friends get killed.

At that moment, I wondered if people weren't all just hypocrites. Artemis had probably killed plenty of innocents, even those who begged her for mercy I was sure of it. But when someone killed one of them, suddenly it was wrong? I didn't have time to dwell on it, because the next second, Artemis lunged at me with her sword.

I decided to show her why people don't fight a lightsaber with a regular sword. The moment her blade touched my lightsaber, it split clean in half. After all, a lightsaber is hot as hell. Like… really hot.

Artemis stared in shock at her now significantly shorter sword. I didn't give her time to recover with the Force, I hurled her through the window of a nearby building. The rest of the Amazons rushed me. The only thing that gave me even a bit of trouble was their acrobatics. They were definitely faster than Aquaman, but when you've got the Force, everything's easier. One by one, I killed them.

Then, four final Amazons charged me, each coming from a different direction. I had to admit that it was a good tactic. But I was simply better. Womp womp, losers.

I used the Force on the one coming from the front, spinning her around like a Beyblade and slamming her into the others whenever they got close. Honestly, this was kind of fun. Maybe I was becoming a battle maniac.

One of the three remaining Amazons had had enough. She came at me with her sword, ready to pierce my heart. But guess what? She was too slow. I pulled the Amazon I'd been spinning like a Beyblade in front of me, so she took the blade instead of me.

The Amazon's face twisted in horror when she saw who her sword had pierced. She tried to stammer out, "I–I'm so—" but I didn't wait for her to finish. I took a few steps forward and swung my lightsaber. Her head rolled from her shoulders, and I said, "You can apologize in the afterlife."

Now, only three figures were still standing on the battlefield me and the last two Amazons. One of them pulled out a whistle and blew it loudly. Probably a signal for backup. I didn't really care I was going to kill them anyway.

I raised my hand, lifting both Amazons into the air, and with one gesture — CRACK — their necks snapped.

Then I heard footsteps.

(Insert Sound Of Steps)

Confused, I turned, and from the ruined building, Artemis slowly emerged. Her arms and legs were cut by shards of glass, bleeding in several places and for some reason, it made her even hotter than usual.

But you know what was weird? I had thrown her earlier to take her out of the fight knock her out for at least an hour yet here she was, not even five minutes later. I chalked it up to her being an Amazon and refocused on her.

She was staring at the corpses of her sisters

at the massacre I had caused. She picked up a random sword from one of the Amazons I'd killed, then looked at me with bloodshot eyes, letting out a furious battle cry:

"AHHHHHHHHH!"

And without hesitation, she charged.

I sighed. "People like you never learn."

I wasn't about to go easy on her just because she was easy on the eyes. What mattered was what was inside and inside her? Well… typical Amazon.

I raised my hand and froze Artemis mid-swing with her sword. I walked right up to her and, with all the strength I had, slammed my fist into her stomach.

"Arghhh!" Artemis coughed up blood and crashed into the wall. For a moment, she just leaned there, dripping blood from her chin but somehow, that didn't stop her.

She came at me again. Once more, I froze her mid-swing. This was starting to get annoying. I was about to hit her again when

BOOM.

Something massive landed behind me, sending a wave of dust into the air. I felt it

an overwhelming, murderous intent. And then — WHOOOOSH — something was coming at me fast.

I wasn't fast enough to dodge. I was pretty sure I'd survive the hit, so I gambled I released Artemis and, with a flick of my hand, threw her far away from me and whatever the hell was behind me.

Then came the impact. The world spun as I was sent crashing through several walls before finally slamming into the ground. I was sure something was broken.

"Arghhhhh!" I groaned in pain, dragging myself to my feet and cursing loudly. That kind of force wasn't what I was expecting.

"What the HELL was that???"

I ignited my lightsaber again and slowly walked through the holes my body had just made. Whoever the bastard was, he hit me from behind so I'll make him pay dearly. What kind of coward attacks when someone's back is turned? No honor nowadays.

When I finally stepped out of the wreckage, I didn't see a man.

… I saw a fucking Minotaur.

And Cerberus.

WHAT. THE. HELL.

Now I knew what that whistle was for. I should've killed her. Well… at least I knew they weren't human.

Artemis was lying against a wall, still wondering why I'd saved her. Meanwhile, I stood between two Greek monsters, ready to destroy them.
