After I killed Wonder Woman, I wandered through the ruined streets of London, searching for someone from my team. Once again, the silence here was suffocating…... but this time, no one ambushed me.
I started running to move faster, cutting through alleys and side streets, until after a long stretch of running I finally began to hear the sounds of battle. At last, I arrived at the main battlefield.
Everywhere I looked, there were water cannons firing. For the moment, I ignored them and strained my eyes, trying to catch sight of someone from my team.
And then I saw him Cyborg, ducking and hiding from the water cannons. Suddenly, something whizzed past me at insane speed. It was Captain Thunder A.K.A Shazam or rather, the Shazam Kids fused together.
Captain Thunder tore into the Atlantean war machines, destroying the cannons one by one. I decided to lend a hand. With the Force, I ripped the water cannons from their mounts and hurled them across the battlefield.
Finally, I stepped out into the open. I ignited my lightsaber, its Blue glow cutting through the chaos, and started carving a path toward Cyborg. The Atlanteans usually attacked me one at a time and with just one hand, I immobilized them, then finished them in a single stroke with my lightsaber. The Amazons, though, were different. They came at me in groups, maybe they thought that numbers would give them an edge.
But numbers mean nothing against absolute power.
There are beings like Superman, Lucifer Morningstar, Michael Demiurgos, even Doctor Manhattan. Those kinds of beings could wipe out entire armies on their own. So really numbers are worthless before true strength. Maybe, one day, my name will be written alongside theirs as one of the absolute menaces of existence. The thought made me smirk.
Anyways, the Amazons weren't too difficult to deal with. I just froze them in place and ended them with my lightsaber. Of course, I couldn't immobilize every single Amazon at once, so I threw some away with the Force, only for them to return later and find their sisters lying headless in the dirt.
Eventually, they all stopped approaching me altogether because I was literally butchering them. They pulled back, leaving a path open, and I shouted across the battlefield to Cyborg:
"Yooooo! What happened after we split up, Cyborg?"
He looked at me with a smile, relief written all over his face after not seeing me for so long. Then he answered:
"After we split, Aquaman's brother Orm ambushed us. Batman got hurt, but then Flash showed up and carried him to safety. I fought Orm myself. What about you? Where's Aquaman? Did you beat him, Vader?"
I smirked, pride swelling in me. "I killed him. Wonder Woman, too."
Cyborg just stared at me at first, like he didn't understand what I'd said. But then his eyes went wide.
"You killed the leaders of the Atlanteans and the Amazons?!?!?!"
I nodded. His shock turned into a grin.
"Then we've basically already won. Now… we just have to survive this massacre.
Then I placed my hand on Cyborg's shoulder and said, "I'll go find Batman and Flash, maybe something happened to them. While I'm gone, don't die, alright?"
Cyborg smiled back at me and answered, "Don't you die either."
I pushed my way through the blood-soaked battlefield, but this time my luck wasn't as good. People kept jumping me nonstop.
And then suddenly, from behind, someone threw a spear at me. I barely dodged it, but it scraped across my face, leaving a cut. Blood started dripping. This was actually the first time I had bled since coming to this world. Well… everything has to happen once, I guess. But the Amazon who ruined my perfect face? I wasn't about to let that slide.
I pulled her towards me with the Force and drove my lightsaber straight through her stomach. Then I tossed her body back into the Amazon ranks like garbage and kept moving forward, pushing my way out of the battlefield.
But apparently, the Amazons didn't like how I treated their sister, because soon I was dodging arrows and spears coming at me from every direction. Then I got pissed. I stopped every single object they had thrown at me mid-air with the Force… and hurled them right back.
The only sound left was the tearing of flesh… and then silence. Around me lay a circle of corpses.
"Maybe that'll be a lesson for them, don't attack someone who's a hundred times stronger than you are." I stepped over a few bodies. But the Amazons wouldn't quit. Every second, I was killing another one. And then it looked like the Atlanteans decided to join in too, launching their attacks at me as well.
I was getting fed up. I was about to just carve my way out when suddenly I saw a red laser slice through the battlefield, leaving a trail of bodies. …Wait.
I looked up at the sky.
And there he was. Superman.
I gave him a thumbs up, and he nodded back. That was enough for me. I finally left the battlefield behind and went searching for Barry and Thomas. And of course, I didn't forget. I still had to kill Eobard Thawne. Honestly, what kind of mother names her son Eobard?
She must not have liked him much.
I kept walking and walking, but I didn't see anyone. Then, finally, I heard the sound of someone groaning in pain. I followed the sound, and then— BANG.
A bullet was fired at me.
I barely stopped it mid-air with the Force. My eyes darted around, searching for the bastard who had fired it, but all I found was Thomas, leaning against a wall, a gun still pointed at me.
"Oh. It's just you," he muttered.
I snapped at him. "You almost killed me!"
"But I didn't," he replied calmly.
This old bastard was really getting on my nerves. I noticed he was clutching his stomach, bleeding, just like Cyborg had said.
Then Thomas spoke again. "We need to go to Barry. He's with… Eobard."
"Yeah, alright, old man. Don't overdo it."
I slung his arm over my shoulder and slowly started walking with him toward the place where Barry and Reverse Flash were supposed to be.
Then — BOOM. An explosion echoed in the distance. Thomas and I looked at each other, and then we saw it: a white light racing toward us fast. We both knew what that meant.
But wait. I killed Aquaman. Who the hell activated the bomb?
I sped up, desperate for answers, and then I saw it. In the distance, Eobard Thawne was holding Aquaman's belt in his hands, laughing.
Now it was personal.
Thomas looked at the incoming wave of white light and said, "Leave me here. I'll only slow you down." Then he pulled something from his suit , a bloodstained envelope with the words For Bruce written on it.
"Give this to Bruce for me, alright?"
I carefully took the letter from his hand and nodded to show I understood. Then he shoved a gun into my palm and added, "And don't forget to kill that bastard Eobard."
I smirked, took the gun, and sprinted forward as fast as I could. The moment I got close enough, I pulled the trigger. Bang.
A hole burst open in Eobard's head.
The next second, he collapsed to the ground.
I rushed to Barry. "Quickly, Barry, set everything right!" I shoved Thomas's bloodied letter into his hand. "This is from Thomas. Give it to Bruce."
Barry nodded at me and took off running.
And me? I stood there, staring into the eyes of death itself, as the white light closed in. I prayed Barry would fix everything, and that I would survive.
"To be honest," I muttered, "I liked Thomas. I grew fond of Cyborg, too. Even Barry. Maybe….... maybe I should actually join the Justice League."
Those were the last words I spoke before the white light swallowed me whole.
And as it engulfed me, everything went black. For a moment, I thought I had been dragged back into the Abyss. But then, I saw them. Two Flashes, racing through time itself.
And that's when I realized: I had survived. I had succeeded.
And then… once again, all the colors of the world blurred together. I spun, twisting around like a beyblade, until finally. I could see again.
I was home.
…Or was I?
This wasn't my apartment.
This was too luxurious.
And for some strange reason, I didn't even feel the urge to throw up.
I decided to leave that problem for my future self to deal with. Exhausted, I collapsed on the couch and drifted into sleep.
