Scene 1: City of GhostsLocation: Arrival in Capital – Morning
The capital city felt unfamiliar, colder than Hana remembered. Once her home, now it felt like a city of strangers. Streets were barricaded. Armed patrols passed every few blocks. Whispers of civil unrest echoed in every corner.
Ayaan kept one hand close to his concealed weapon, his other wrapped protectively around Hana's wrist.
They moved swiftly, melting into crowds, until they reached an old, faded building—her childhood home.
It was abandoned.
Scene 2: The Hidden RoomLocation: Hana's Childhood Home
Hana stepped inside slowly. Dust choked the air, but memories rushed in like a flood. Her mother's laughter. Her father's quiet humming. Her own footsteps on polished marble.
In the back, she found her mother's room untouched.
Then, behind a cracked wooden panel in the closet, she found it: a hidden metal box.
Inside?Photographs. Old ID cards. A flash drive. And a government file marked CLASSIFIED.
Ayaan scanned it. "These are lab reports. Unauthorized trials… your mother was exposing something."
"And she paid the price," Hana whispered.
Scene 3: Safe House CaféLocation: Rooftop Café – Afternoon
They met an informant known as Nayel—a former journalist turned rebel. He was lean, jittery, and always scanning the horizon.
"Your mother wasn't just a whistleblower," Nayel said, sliding a folder across the table. "She was part of the operation to shut down Project Helix."
"Project what?" Ayaan asked, brows furrowed.
"An experimental bio-program. Soldiers were being enhanced—illegally."
Nayel lit a cigarette. "And your mother had proof. She died protecting it."
Hana's hands trembled on the folder.
Then: gunfire.
A shot rang out. Nayel slumped over the table.
A sniper. Screams.
Ayaan pulled Hana down. "Run!"
Scene 4: Underground AgainLocation: Hidden Sewer Tunnel – Evening
Breathless, they fled through alleyways until Ayaan found a sewer grate. He kicked it open. They slid into the shadows, hearts pounding.
"I'm sorry," Hana whispered. "This is all because of me."
"No," Ayaan said, holding her tight. "You're the reason I'm still standing."
She looked up at him, the world burning above them. His hand cupped her cheek. Their lips hovered, barely apart.
And for a moment, time stood still.
They kissed. A deep, desperate kiss that said everything words couldn't.
Above, sirens wailed.
Below, two hearts burned quietly in the dark.
