When men created the first war against others' lands, others started to follow.
Children were forced to train for war against their will.
Village burns in flames, and women were captured and forced to be used.
Choas spread far and wide across the land.
The poor suffer and obey the strong. While the king creates laws and rules.
Across the land were pheasant were being mistreated unfairly and poorly used. While King forces his people to obey his laws and force his people to use their woman to spread his offspring for the next new heir.
Over the years.
The new king was corrupted by his own power and filled with greed.
He forced his own people and sold them as slaves.
When his people were helpless against the new king.
A sudden meteor fell from the sky.
The king who saw the light above the night sky.
He saw the most beautiful thing in the world. He thought that it was a sign of some sort of fortune.
The king was overjoyed.
He thought the heavens granted an opportunity.
The king saw the light hit the mountain top.
The corrupted king smiled.
He hired more knights and gave them a task.
To bring the light on the mountain top.
Whoever can bring the light back, shell be rewarded with riches and noble title.
The knight thought it was an easy task. However, none was able to bring it back, and there was no sign of the knight that went to the top of the mountains.
Came back.
The king was unhappy.
When he thought that, no one was able to bring the light back. Thinking that they betrayed him and took the fortune for themselves.
The king was filled with hatred.
He force his men and bring the traitors family and cut them in front of his own people. To show them his authority, and he was above them.
The king thought that killing the traitors would solve his anger, but he still felt unhappy.
To him.
Nothing wasn't enough.
A few years later...
The new king was now old, and he still looked outside every night. On top of his castle looking over the mountains were the meteor fell.
The king thought that no one could bring back the light. Decided to give up on it.
Then, phenomenon things started to appear.
The sky turns beautifully in a bright, colorful rainbow.
The king started to look further ahead and noticed the changes above the mountains. A light shoots up in the sky and cause the sky to shatter.
The sky started to fall like glass pieces.
The king was taken aback by the sudden unusual phenomenon.
The king was astonished by it.
Not long, others started to see it.
People thought it was a sign of God, and some thought it was a sign of freedom.
The slaves kneel and pray for redemption.
Other kings saw the sky with their own eyes.
They knew that it was a sign from heaven that brought down fortune and miracles.
So they sent their soldiers and led them towards the light.
The old king was now filled with hope. He thought the heavens didn't give up on him. So he decided to put his matters into his own hand and led his own soldiers towards the light.
The king wasn't gonna let others take his fortune away.
However...
What's waiting, on the other side, was not pleasant.
When other kings from different land arrive there.
A new entity was standing above the mountains top.
The entity was covered in black tattered robes. Showing his hideous skull face. His flesh was decayed over time. Its flesh was undeniably unforseen.
The kings were frightened by the unknown creature.
They never thought about the fortune they were searching for.
Was a misfortune.
To their surprise by the sudden seen.
They all thought of one word.
UNDEAD!
It was a common thing from the stories.
The king decided to face the undead with his overwhelmed army.
However, the entity smiled sinisterly.
The undead show no fear by the massive army heading towards its way.
The entire army shivered to their core. They saw an unpleasant side of the undead. They knew something wasn't right, but they all charged at him.
Others follow along.
The king knew that he had to stop the undead.
Before it grew strong over time. This was now more than a problem.
But unexpectedly.
The undead raised his skeleton hand and snapped!
Behind the undead.
An army of undead were running towards them.
The king was filled with fear.
Both knights and undead army clash with each other.
The undead was overwhelming them. The knights were killed one by one.
The entity stood above the mountains covered in its all black tattered robe.
The undead entity smiled at the scene. It seems like the battle was done, and none were alive.
It remains untouchable and undefeated.
The undead sits on its throne covered in corpses of his victims. It gazes on the dead on the battlefield.
With its mighty and sinisterly eerie appearance.
The entity uses its sorcery and cast a spell on their corpses.
In a blink of an eye.
A green smoke started to rise on their dead corpse.
The army that was killed is now rose up by the undead.
The entity cast a spell to bring them back to the living world. Now, the undead were now walking towards other lands and spread disasters.
...
A few years later.
Inside the forest, were soldiers running for their life's.
Pant! Pant!
"This wasn't... the plan!"
"Shut up! Keep running!"
Two young men dress as mercenary and run towards out the forest.
Hrrrrgrrr!
The undead were getting closer.
The undead were running at them like wildly.
"I didn't know... that they can run that fast!?"
Both were running towards the castle.
"Hurry! We are almost there...!"
The knight above the walls saw horrified undead getting closer.
They immediately rang the bell.
Other knights heard the alarm.
"CLOSE THE GATE...!" the knight yelled.
They immediately drag the chains.
The two mercenary panic!
"SHIT! They are closing the door...!" His tone filled with fear.
Two run faster.
When the gate slowly closed, they jumped ahead before it closed.
Tshhh!
Pant! Pant!
Both were lying on the ground out of breath.
"We made it...!"
"Ahahah..!"
Both looked at each other with joy, but unfortunately, their joy ended up getting them locked up together.
"Hey! You can't just lock us up!"
"Calm down, Alex..."
Alex was frustrated and slammed the bars.
"Come on, Percy. They can't do this to us..." He said.
Percy tries to calm him down.
"Look at the bright side." He said.
Alex looks back at him.
"We have each other.."
Alex was now more helpless and frustrated.
He was trapped here with him of all people. He couldn't even say a word.
Then, a guard opened the door.
"Grabbed them..." His voice was serious.
Both Alex and Percy were confused. By the sudden knight taking them forcefully away.
"Where are you taking us...?"
They been dragged away.
Both were struggling to free themselves while being taken away.
The knight forcefully throws them into a grand throne room where the tall, imposing figure sits on the throne.
Both were now kneeling.
"Humph...!"
They saw a royal presence.
The king was middle-aged man.
The royal king was cold and unpleasant that you gaze upon his royal eyes without his permission.
The king's piercing gaze fixes on the two pheasant barley contain his fury.
"How dare a lowly pheasant like you enter my land without permission!" His voice echoes through the hall.
Both were sweating hard and feared by the royal presence in front of them.
The two knew they could not speak lightly towards the royals, or there would be consequences.
Alex and Percy looked at each other, waiting to see which of them would speak first.
However.
The lovely and most beautiful queen spoke.
"My dear husband, perhaps we should hear them out first." She places a gentle hand on the king's arm.
The queen was in her 40s and still looks delicately, beautifully.
Her long flowing hair cascades like liquid silver, her eyes sparkling with wisdom and grace. Her skin was smooth and smelled like roses.
The king expression softens slightly at her touch, but he maintains his stern demeanor.
Her mature beauty radiates as she addresses the two directly.
"Tell us, pheasants, why you've come to our kingdom," her voice melodious and commanding.
Both gulped...
Alex decided to speak.
"We are here to meet your grace."
Alex bowed respectfully.
The queen raises her eyebrow, intrigued by your formal greeting.
"And who might you be, to seek an audience with us?" She said. While exchanging a knowing glance with the king.
The king and queen were curious as to why would a pheasant came all the way just for greeting.
"I'm Alex. I'm from the Far East, and my friend here is from the West. We met by chance and traveled together."
The queen's eyes narrow slightly at your mentioned traveling.
"The east and west... quite a coincidence indeed." She turns to whisper something to the king, who remains skeptical.
Alex remains uneasy.
The king's eyes flash with suspension as he leans forward on his throne.
"What business brings you to our kingdom from such distance lands?" His voice carries an underlying threats.
Alex breathed slowly and said, "Our land was taken over by the undead."
The queen gasped softly while the king's expression darkened with interest.
"The undead?" She got off of her seat by the sudden news.
Her maternal instinct shows concern.
Other knights whisper and shock by the sudden news.
The king stands abruptly, his presence commanding the room.
Knight stands quietly and awaits their orders.
"Speak clearly. What do you mean by 'undead'?" His voice carries authority and power.
Alex remains and says, "As you know, your majesty. It's what I just said."
The king's eyes narrow dangerously at your cheeky response.
"Watch your tone, boy. You stand in my courtroom. Where your life depends on me to decide." His hand grips the armrest tightly.
Alex remains calm.
Percy was a little bit shaking by Alex boldness.
He whispers towards Alex.
"What are you doing. Are you trying to get me killed with you."
Alex whispers back.
"Trust me..."
Percy sighs...
The tension in the room thickens as the queen places a calming hand on the king's shoulder.
She stares at Alex.
"Please, continue your story." She speaks with measured authority, attempting to diffuse the situation.
Alex continues his story...
Where his land was taken over by the undead.
Men and women were killed and were eaten by the undead. Their corpse started to rise and spread across the land. Before they know it. The land was taken over by them. To their surprise, they all managed to overwhelm other land as well and their people.
The king and queen were listening to his unbelievable story.
Alex said, "And that is why we are here. To ask for your help, your majesty."
However, the king wasn't the slightest in helping some pheasant from far away land.
The king's expression grows increasingly impatient as you describe the choas.
"And what exactly do you expect us to do about your problems?"
He scoffs dismissively.
Alex says, "We need soldiers and more—"
The king cuts you off with a sharp gesture.
"You think I'll send my soldiers to fight your war?"
His laughter echoes coldly through the hall.
Alex smirks and says, "You have no choice in these matter, your majesty."
His tone was filled with confidence.
The king face contorts with rage at your audacity.
"How dare you come here, in my own castle! Boldly, demanding, hand over my soldiers over you."
He rises from his throne.
"Tell me... why would I hand over my soldiers to you and give me a reason why would I not end you where you stand."
He was now giving out a commanding and threatening tone.
Percy noticed the intense stare by the knight.
He feels the atmosphere grow hostile as the situation escalates.
Percy thoughts were, "SHIT! WERE DID I GET MYSELF INTO!"
The situation was deemed unnecessary and unfair.
Knights were gathered in one spot and surrounded all exits.
Percy was the slightest bit scared, but however, surly he wasn't the only one to give up.
He had faith in Alex.
He knows how to turn the worst way into hope. That's how Percy had full confidence in him.
The king stood there with his unsure expression. He knew he had the upper hand, but for some reason, he had a feeling that the young man in front of him was unwilling to accept it.
"How would they talk they way out of this." The king thought to himself.
Alex looks at the king, "It's clear that you don't understand the terror that awaits, your majesty."
"Oh, really..." The king response with hint of scoff.
Percy was still sweating...
"If the undead. Where able to walk right here on your land. What will you do...?" Alex voice was firm and steady.
The king replied,"I will send all forces to guard the city and build a strong wall. While we sent a message to all other kingdoms to send support." His voice filled will power and wisdom.
His voice echoes through the walls.
Alex sighs...
His sudden breath cut the king off guard.
The king looks down at the pheasant and hits a nerve by his sudden long inhale. Like he's making a fool out of him.
The king threatened eyes staring directly at Alex,"Did I speak lightly... and made a silly joke.?" His tone filled with measured while looking at Alex.
Alex wasn't sure if his majesty was old or older to not understand the situation. Clearly, he wasn't showing the slightest intrigued by the king words.
"Your Highness... this isn't a laughing matter." Alex voice was serious.
Hmph!...
The king was now ready to behead the pheasant.
"Then..." The king was about to give an order by raising his hand.
The knights quickly grabbed Percy from behind and strongly forced his head downwards while still kneeling.
The knight tight grips were firm.
Percy grits his teeth.
Alex cuts the king's off before he says another word.
"I suggest you think! Again! Your highness." His tone carries a strong power, and his voice echoes through the halls.
The knights were all gasped by the sudden voice by the pheasant.
The king and queen were surprised by his sudden loud voice.
"Did he..."
"spoke out of term..."
"I must be hearing things..."
The knights were too shocked by Alex boldness. To actually speak in equal footing. Right at the kings face.
Percy was kneeling while looking up at everyone who held him down.
Percy was slightly happy, but he was showing his smirk at everyone. "That's my pal... you heard him." His voice filled with cocky.
The king's was now furious...
"You dare! Speak to me in this matter! I have you know!—"
Alex cuts him once again.
"The other kingdoms will not respond to your call." Alex voice filled with sureness.
The king was sudden by his rudeness, but he would hear him out.
The queen went ahead and spoke.
"And why not...?" Her tone was venomous, and her eyes were locked on Alex bold claims.
She was curious as to why would he said that.
Alex said,"Again. Surely you understood my words from before. We did say we are from far away land, and the undead took over our land. Did we not...?"
Both king and queen glance at each other for a moment, then look right back at Alex.
The king and queen nod at the same time.
Alex says, "Then tell me... your majesty and your highness." His voice filled with respect.
The king and queen were listening closely.
"In what lands are you going to ask for help." Alex said.
Humph!...
The king wasn't following the situation as the queen as well.
They weren't even sure of where this conversation was going.
Both were looking at Alex.
The room was filled with tension and unsure of what response to say.
