"Last time on Total Drama Action!" Chris began the recap while playing a game of badminton with Chef. One that was very one sided as Chris was panting and sweating while Chef was merely standing in place, easily returning all of Chris' shots. "Our cast became the worst team of super spies this host has ever seen as they tried to escape a not-actually-exploding building. It seems Mike's personality Svetlana was keen to dominate this challenge but Vito had to come in and flex on everyone's parade leading Izzy to easily clear it scoring the Grips the first win. But when it came to defusing a live garbage bomb the Grips were totally choking. It was looking like the Gaffers were fit to score a nice clean win…but Chester ended blowing up at everyone, quite literally, causing the Gaffers to stew in the stew with Mike being the first of the newbies to bite the dust! Who will be a good sport this week? Who will be the rising underdog? Find out now on Total…Drama…Aciton!"
BONK!
"AH!" Chris let out as the birdie hit him right in the head.
"Winner!" Chef cheered with a grin.
Currently at the Crafts Services tent, both teams were sitting on their respective half of the tent. Now that things were even between the teams, the competition was bound to get more fierce now as both were keen on trying to gain the advantage of this. But more importantly right now both teams were feeling rather hungry as Chef was nowhere in sight to serve breakfast. "Where the heck is Chef right now?" Jasmine asked as she looked back into the kitchen and again saw nothing of the buff cook. "Ugh I'm starvin' over here,"
"No clue," DJ admitted with a shrug. Truth was he hasn't seen Chef all day either. When he went into the kitchen to do what he normally does he didn't see Chef and instead saw a note left by Chef telling DJ he had today off kitchen duty with nothing else. If he had to guess it must have something to do with the challenge. He just hoped that it wasn't another disgusting food challenge. "Haven't seen head or tail of him all day, maybe Chris gave him the day off or something."
"That doesn't sound like Chris," Bridgette stated with everyone nodding in agreement. Chris wasn't known for being the most gracious boss, well other than with Lily who he seemed to be pretty nice to all things considered. "He and Chef are probably preparing something to torture us with,"
"Probably, but if you guys want something to eat you always got that loser pie of yours," The Gaffers all frowned as Ronnie Anne spoke up with a smug grin. Ever since the spy challenge Ronnie Anne, Heather, and Justin have really been rubbing the Gaffer's recent losses in their face. Especially the former as the Hispanic Teen basically took every single chance she got to mock Lincoln, Dawn and their team for losing two team members in a row. "Must be hard having to vote off two of your guys in a row,"
"So much for having the numbers advantage," Heather spoke up with her own wicked grin. Sure at first she told Ronnie Anne to try being a good sport to get on their team's graces earlier in the competition…but now that they were at this point of the competition the votes were definitely in their favor, at least until the merge. So why not have some fun after they worked so hard to win. "Must suck being down to our level, and considering how you've all been performing I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before the numbers advantage is all ours~"
"So why not save yourselves the humiliation and just give up now~?" Justin suggested with a smug look, doing a hair clip as a further way of mocking the other team. "It'll look better for the cameras that way,"
"Must suck for you guys," Ronnie Anne spoke up again, crossing her arms behind her head and leaning back. "How does it feel being a team of losers?"
"Why don't you tell us mate~?" Jasmine spoke up with a smug smirk. Sure the Gaffers were now even in terms of team members, but they weren't gonna let that get their spirits down. It only drove them to try harder and avenge the people they had to vote off. "Last I checked you blocks were the one who lost four times in a row." DJ smirked and shared a high five with Jasmine at that statement.
"Besides, we may be down but we're far from out," Harold pointed out as he confidentially adjusted his glasses. "Because unlike you, we have a team that can work together. Exhibit A…"
Harold pointed to the three others that didn't participate in trash talking. That being Lindsay and Izzy who were both glaring at Ronnie Anne and her alliance, and also Geoff who seemed to just look down at the table and tap his fingers against it. But one could occasionally notice him looking up to give Lincoln a light glare.
"Grrrrr!" Ronnie Anne let out in irritation. Not about her unruly teammates, but more so that the Gaffers weren't crushed about their losses and lost teammates like she hoped that would be.
"Let me tell you something Ronnie Anne." Lincoln spoke up with a smug grin of his own, getting Ronnie Anne to glare at him. "Wanna know what the main difference between our two teams is?"
"Oh?" Ronnie Anne narrowed her eyes and tightened a fist in response to Lincoln's words. "And do tell me what that is Lame-O?"
"Easy, we take our losses with grace. If we lose, we lose and we don't make a fuss about it. And all the teammates we've had to vote out have left with dignity." Lincoln pointed out with his teammates all smirking and nodding in response. "Unlike a certain someone~ Last I checked you've always thrown a tantrum whenever you lose, and the people you voted off haven't exactly had the most dignified exits. We actually know how to take our losses well, and work together despite any setbacks."
"Yeah!" All the Gaffers said in unison.
"…" Ronnie Anne was silent at first, doing her best to keep her rage in check. No…she couldn't let her loser of an ex-boyfriend get to her. Not now. Not when they were finally on an even playing field and she had a chance to finally one up him. She was determined to finally knock Lincoln down and hopefully send him out of this competition. And to do that…she'd really need to dig deep underneath his skin and throw him off his game. So taking a deep breath to collect herself, Ronnie Anne smirked as she looked Lincoln right in the eyes. "I suppose that makes sense…you are used to failing after all,"
"Hm? And what do you mean by that exactly?" Lincoln challenged Ronnie Anne's statement, easily knowing this would just be some way of trying to get into his head.
"Oh nothing , it's just ever since I met you I've noticed that you just never seem to win at anything." Ronnie Anne answered, keeping her smug look as she kept her eyes firmly on Lincoln. "Like you know when you and Clyde auditioned to get in that Ace Savvy movie only for your sisters to get in while you and him were stuck looking after a cat,"
"Pffft, a cat?" Heather smirked as she and Justin shared a laugh at that. "Wow how pathetic is that,"
That…actually got to Lincoln as he froze up a bit. Ronnie Anne noticed this and reveled in the reaction as she continued. "You're telling me, all his life he's just been playing second fiddle to them." Ronnie Anne continued as the Gaffers again began to glare at her, especially Dawn as both she and Bridgette checked on Lincoln to make sure he was alright. "Or I guess it would be 12th fiddle now wouldn't it~ I mean it must suck for even a couple toddlers not even in middle school to upstage you~"
"H-Hey, they don't upstage me," Lincoln denied this, refusing to take this crap sitting down. Sure his sisters usually one up him in stuff but now he's accepted that he's just as talented as they are and has his own set of skills. "I mean last I checked I made it onto a reality show and got fourth place. I don't think any of them can say that."
"Yeah, fourth place. Wow, have you gotten your participation medal yet?" Ronnie Anne further mocked getting more of the ire of the other team with Lincoln gritting his teeth with Justin and Heather only adding to it with their mocking looks. "Because news flash unless you're in the top two no one really gives a crap. You can put that 4th place on the empty trophy shelf you own, hey have you been dusting it lately because last I checked it really needed it."
"Wow man, that's just really sad," Justin chuckled while shaking his head at Lincoln. "I mean come on not even one? That's just, haha, that's so depressing it's almost not funny. Almost~"
"I'm not even kidding, name something he's entered and he's never once won before." Ronnie listed with Heather and Justin eating it all up with Geoff even looking up and taking this all in as well. "Game shows, Talent shows, derby races, scavenger hunts, sporting events, etc, etc, and etc. The guy's never won, and when he does he always has his sisters to thank for it who people see as the real stars and quite frankly they are."
"I suggest you shut up mate," Jasmine had finally had enough of this as she stood up, along with DJ and Harold to back her up with all of them glaring at Ronnie Anne. "If you know what's good for ya!"
Despite Jasmine's overwhelming presence and the risk of the Australian Amazon easily pummeling her into the ground, Ronnie Anne kept it up. "Why? I'm just telling you fun facts about your leader I think you should know." Ronnie Anne pointed out with a shit eating grin as she raised her hands up. "I mean you all should know that your team leader is nothing but a giant loser~ I mean he brags about being the fourth best magician in Royal Woods. What does that say about him?"
"Pfft," To everyone's surprise the next person to laugh was Geoff who couldn't help himself but snicker at that. "Seriously? Hehe,"
"Geoff!!!" Geoff flinched as Bridgette yelled out at him in a scolding tone, giving her boyfriend a heated glare. "That's not funny!"
"Whatever…" Geoff scoffed a bit, sending Lincoln a quick glare before looking down.
"And not to mention-" Ronnie Anne spoke up only for-
CLANG!
"Gah!" Ronnie Anne let out as a salt shaker was thrown at her, hitting her right in the head. Ronnie Anne was knocked off the table as she held the spot that was hit. But what shocked everyone the most was who threw the salt shaker.
Dawn.
"Shut. Up." Dawn growled out, the normally peaceful girl glaring hatefully at Ronnie Anne.
"…" But Ronnie Anne merely smirked to herself, knowing she had successfully not only gotten into Lincoln's head, but Dawn's too. Oh this was just too perfect.
"Dude," Harold quickly checked up on his best friend, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Are you-" But Harold was silenced as Lincoln raised his hand, the Loud boy completely silent as he took a deep breath through his nose as he was clearly trying to control himself.
Everyone was silent after that, tension clearly high…
BLAAAAAAARE!!!
Until the sound of a loud horn was heard, completely breaking said tension. And soon it wasn't just a horn as the sounds of drums, symbols, and a trombone were heard as Chris walked into the Crafts Services tent dressed as a one man marching band complete with the marching band hat. "Good morning sports fans!" Chris announced with his usual grin, acting as if nothing just went down at all, earning him many unamused looks from the contestants. "Hope you all are ready for today! Because it's gonna be intense out there on the field!"
"Spaghetti here!" Chef then walked into the tent dressed as a food vender, wearing one of those portable food trays that had a pot of spaghetti on one side and a bunch of spaghetti balls covered in sauce on the other side. "Get your piping hot spaghetti here!"
Chef smirked before throwing the spaghetti balls at everyone with some successfully catching it and others getting hit and being sent to the ground…with two balls attaching to Harold's chest. "AH!" Harold let out as he removed them before glaring at Chris and Chef. "Hey! That was a spitball!"
"That was breakfast," Chris pointed out.
"Pasta for breaky?" Lindsay asked with confusion. Don't get her wrong, she was happy for a break from all of what happened earlier, but pasta wasn't a breakfast food.
"It's called carb loading contestants." Chris told everyone as they merely shrugged before they began consuming the food. "Today you're all going to be giving 200% percent in our exciting sports movie challenge!"
"Oooooo, like blood sports~?" Izzy asked way too eagerly.
"…No, not like that," Chris gave Izzy a rather disturbed look. "Like baseball, soccer, all that jazz. No blood at all,"
"Oh, well that's still good I guess!" Izzy laughed a bit before getting into a batting position and began swinging an air baseball bat. "I hit me a mean ball! Baseball too!"
"Um, excuse me Chris," Harold began pointing out a flaw in what Chris had said. "But 200% is a mathematical impossibility."
Harold was promptly met with another spaghetti ball to the face. "Suck that getti back you wonderful underdogs destined to come back from certain failure!" Chris announced as he began playing his instruments again as he and Chef headed out of the tent. "Because we got a training run!"
"Training?" Heather let out, already not liking where this was going.
CONFESSIONAL – Lincoln
"Ok…Ok…she's gonna play like that is she…" Lincoln let out some hollow chuckles as he nodded his head and glared at the camera. "She isn't the only one to play that kind of game, she thinks she doesn't have her fair share of embarrassing moments, may be time to tell everyone about them~"
After finishing their breakfast the two teams ran to where today's challenge was taking place, a football set complete with stands and a jumbotron above it. Nearly everyone was out of breath after running there, especially due to what they just ate, with Chris standing there looking at his watch as if he was timing them. "Come on that all ya got sports fans?" Chris asked, getting many to glare at him as he crossed his hands behind his back. "Man up! It's time for more action!"
"After three cups of spaghetti followed by a three kilometer jog, I'm about ready to pass out…" Bridgette let out as she held her stomach and fell to her knees. But as her legs hit the ground the surfer chick blinked a few times as she observed the grass they were all standing on, or rather the fake grass they were standing on. "Is this a plastic lawn?"
"Astro-Terf, hello, it's a set." Chris explained as if it was obvious. Which to be fair it kinda was as everything else they've dealt with on this show has been fake. "Today's competition is gonna require sweat, guts, heart, and sweat."
"You said sweat twice," Heather pointed out.
"That's because it ain't just your sweat you'll be dealing with, it's Chef's sweat too." Chris pointed out as he gestured to an incredibly sweaty Chef who was doing jumping jacks with sweat stains all over the sports jersey he was wearing. "Because you'll be pushing him the length of a football field. And he just had a huge jar of jalapeno peppers so he's sweating more than a gym shower."
"We have to push a spiced up Chef like he's a football dummy?" Justin asked as Chef stepped in front of a punching bag attached to a sled.
"Don't call me a dummy!" Chef growled at the handsome teen.
"Um, I am not swapping sweat with an oversized jalapeno," Heather firmly stated as she turned her back to Chef.
"Oh yes you are," Ronnie Anne firmly told Heather with a look that left no room for argument. "We're finally on a winning streak so you are gonna push that dummy whether you like it or not,"
"What'd I say about the dummy thing?!" Chef then directed his glare to Ronnie Anne.
"There's no way I'm doing this!" Heather matched Ronnie Anne's glare causing the Latina to growl at her.
"Come on Heather, we need your help here," Geoff was the one to step up to try and get Heather on board with the challenge. "We're finally even with the other team, and they got Jasmine and DJ with them! If we have any hope of winning! We need to keep up the morale!"
"Oh don't worry about morale!" Chris sais as he pointed to the side. "Cheering both teams on will be our resident cheerleader and mascot, Lily and Edward!"
"Yeeeeeeah!!!" Running onto the field wearing a cheerleader's outfit that had a mix of red and green on it was Lily, with a green pom-pom in one hand and a red one in the other. And following behind her wearing a platypus sized T-Shirt with the TDA logo on it was Edward. Lily and Edward ran into the middle of the field with Lily jumping around and waving her pom-poms around. "Go teams! Go teams! Goooo teams!"
"Brbrbrbrb!" Edward also cheered.
"Aaaawww, how can we not do this with a cheer like that?" Lindsay smiled and clapped at Lily's adorable display before going up to the punching bag Chef was behind. "Let's do it!"
Chris then blew a whistle to signify the start with the Grips going first since they won the last challenge, with Ronnie Anne pulling Heather towards it forcibly. "Grips…go!" Chris announced before pulling out and starting a stopwatch.
The Grips all grunted as they attempted to push Chef, but the buff cook proved to be quite the unmovable wall. "Ha! That all ya got?!" Chef mocked with a smirk, wiping sweat off his forehead and intentionally getting it on the Grips with most of them gagging a bit in disgust. "I've been pushed better than that on my day off!"
"Grrrrr…" Ronnie Anne growled as she tried to push as hard as she possibly could. "I…won't…lose this!"
"Hahah! Come on then!" Chef further mocked, though he did start getting pushed a little faster but it was still rather slow. "Careful there! Think we almost passed a snail! Ahahahaha!"
And so the iconic sports montage began!
After pushing Chef, with the Gaffers easily dominating due to the combined strength of DJ and Jasmine, next up was a tire course with the competitors all racing to cross them first but this proved difficult as multiple members of both teams found the tires getting stuck on their feet.
"Ah!" Jasmine let out as she tried to kick off the tires. "What the heck is up with these tires mate?"
"My feet keep getting stuck!" Lindsay cried out, looking rather self conscious as she also tried to get them off.
"Aaaww I'm so sorry," Chris let out in a mocking way before looking towards the camera. "Wait until they find the hidden mouse traps~"
Snap! Snap! Snap!
"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!"
"Snap to it losers!" Chris laughed at their pain.
Next up was crawling through mud and avoiding barbed wire with both teams trying to stay low so as to not get cut. "Ok I've never seen Lynn or anyone from her football team do this for practice!" Lincoln yelled out as he narrowly ducked under some of the barbed wire.
"True, but we had some spare mud and barbed wire laying around and I thought it would be funny," Chris pointed out before Harold let out an ouch causing Chris to chuckle. "And looks like I was right!"
"What would you know about football practice anyway Lame-O!" Ronnie Anne yelled out in a mocking way as she passed by Lincoln. "You had to get your sister to do everything for you since you were too lazy to do it yourself~"
"Grrrrr!" Lincoln let out as Ronnie Anne let out an obnoxious laugher. With a fire burning in his eyes, Lincoln caught up to Ronnie Anne and grabbed the back of her head.
SPLAT!
"Ahahaha!" Lincoln laughed and grinned as he slammed her face right into the mud before crawling away towards the end of the course. "How's the mud taste?"
"Grrrr!" Ronnie Anne growled viciously as she soon made it to the end and gave Lincoln an incredibly spiteful look. "…Hehe, figures you need to do this considering-"
"I couldn't do the military course last season? You're right," Lincoln smirked, seeing where Ronnie Anne was going with this and immediately using it and a little something else against her. "Kinda like the time you couldn't going on the high ramp because you were too scared~"
"Wha…" Ronnie Anne froze a bit and found herself stuttering as her cheeks went pink. She knew exactly what Lincoln was referring to, but the question was how he knew. She never told him about it and made her friends swear to secrecy. "How…How do you know about that?!"
"Sergio's youtube channel, should check it out sometime. There's SOOOO much fun stuff on it~" Lincoln informed Ronnie Anne, making her eyes widened. Of course…that stupid parrot would upload all that stuff on the internet, he was always there to capture her and her family's most embarrassing moments. "Like that time you crashed into the hotdog cart~ Must have taken a while to get the smell out~"
"A hotdog cart?" Bridgette questioned before she and the rest of the team began snorting and laughing, much to Ronnie Anne's embarrassment. Even members of her own team began laughing like Izzy and Lindsay, but her own alliance Heather and Justin began laughing as well.
CONFESSIONAL – Heather
"Sure we're working together, but I can't resist getting a good laugh out of little moments like this," Heather stated before giggling a bit. "Ah it's really is the little things in life~"
CONFESSIONAL – Ronnie Anne
"Sergio, when I get back you and I are gonna have a loooong talk about this." Ronnie Anne told the camera as if she was talking to her family's bird, running her finger through her neck.
"Oh yeah…" Ronnie Anne growled through her embarrassment, determined to hit back and not let Lincoln get a one up on her. "Kind of like the time you crashed your family's van into that tree~"
"Oh really?" Lincoln glared back before making his retort. "Kind of like the time you crashed your cousin's car into that pizza place!"
"Why you!" Ronnie Anne went red with anger before retorting again. "Like the time you-"
BLAAAAAAAARE!!!
"Loving the drama here but we're burning daylight people!" Chris pointed out as both teams got past the obstacle course. "Let's get a move on!"
"Like the time you nearly burned down my family's apartment!" Ronnie Anne quickly said, getting a few gasps from the others.
"I was trying to surprise you with a nice dinner!" Lincoln yelled back at her. Not his fault Sergio distracted him while he was cooking!
"Well we were surprised alright!" Ronnie Anne yelled back, now putting back on her smug look. "And your pasta is mediocre at best!"
"Aaaah, I love this show," Chris chuckled towards the camera.
And next up in the sports montage was a punching machine. All of the Grips went with most of them not giving too much of an impressive score other than Geoff who was a bodybuilder and Izzy who was Izzy, as for the Gaffers other than DJ none of them were too impressive either. "Alright Jasmine," Chris stated as the Australian Amazon stepped up to the punching machine while cracking her neck. "You're up! Give it your all!"
"Will do mate," Jasmine took off her hat before cracking her knuckles. Rearing her right fist as far back as she could, and making sure her fist was nice and tight, Jasmine punched forward with all her might and-
SMASH!!!
Everyone watched in shock as Jasmine hit the machine hard enough not just to break it but sending it flying and crashing towards the stands. "…Oops…" Jasmine let out sheepishly. Perhaps that was just a bit too much.
"…Good thing you went last…" Chris muttered as he just wrote Jasmine's score down as 'Winner' on the clipboard he was using to keep track of everything.
"…You piss her off, and we are not helping you deal with her," Heather whispered to Ronnie Anne with Justin slowly nodding in agreement with Ronnie Anne sending both of them nasty looks.
At the end of it all, everyone was dirty, sweaty, and tired with nearly all members of both teams sitting down to catch their breaths. "Ugh, well that was sucktacular," Harold let out as he rubbed his sore wrist, a consequence of hitting the punching machine earlier.
"Who even won that anyway?" Ronnie Anne asked, trying to hide her worry as it was obvious for the Gaffers that DJ and Jasmine easily dominated all those little challenges.
"Let me see…" Chris then began looking over his clipboard. "Three…carry the five..nobody!"
"What?!" Everyone yelled in unison.
"That wasn't the actual challenge," Chris began explaining as he was met with many irritated looks, a sight he truly never got tired of. "That was just to establish who's playing who for the real contest that follows." Chris then gestured to the jumbotron as it showed the pictures of all members from both teams in both halves of the screen. "We're running six sporto contest with competitors seeded according to these results. The opposing team will face the people they share a seed with!"
"So who's going up against who?" Dawn asked as she raised her hand.
"Well let's see…" Chris gestured to the screen again as everyone's image began shuffling around. "Round one will be…Harold vs Lindsay!"
"Bring it on!" Harold smirked as he raised his fist. "With my mad skills I can't lose!"
"Your results on the course say otherwise Harold," Chris pointed out before the next pair was shown. "And round two, Bridgette vs Heather."
"Prepare to lose Miss Malabo," Heather taunted the surfer girl who merely rolled her eyes.
"Oh right, because your sooo sporty," Bridgette wasn't intimidated at all by the queen bee who was quick to glare at Bridgette in response.
"And round three…Lincoln vs Justin!" Chris then announced the third round which ended up being another match up between the white haired boy and the handsome teen.
"What?" Justin asked in disbelief.
"Hah, bring it on," Lincoln smirked, remembering how well he did against Justin in the Classic Monster Movie challenge.
"And round four, DJ vs Geoff!" Chris announced the next match between two friends.
"May the best one win dude," Geoff held his fist out to DJ who grinned and returned it.
"Yeah man," DJ nodded in response.
"And round five…hehe," Chris seemed excited about this as the faces of two familiar females were paired against each other. "Ronnie Anne vs Dawn!"
"…" Ronnie Anne's eyes widened in disbelief as Dawn looked towards the Hispanic teen and glared at her fiercely.
"And to finish things off, the last round is Izzy vs Jasmine!" Chris announced the last round with the two final contestants from both teams appearing on screen.
"Heh, get ready ya little bugga," Jasmine gave her friend a competitive smirk as she crossed her arms. "Because I don't intend on going easy on ya!"
"Bring it on!" Izzy grinned back before pounding her chest and letting out a tarzan yell.
"Now hold on!" Ronnie Anne yelled out as she gestured to Dawn. "There's no way I got in the same seed as the freaking hippy here!"
"Same with me!" Justin exclaimed as he pointed a thumb to Lincoln, who merely rolled his eyes in response. "I should have gotten way more points than snowball!"
"Yeeeeah, not really," Chris smirked and shook his head. "Guess you two aren't as strong as you thought you were, sooorry~"
As Ronnie Anne and Justin glared at Chris, Dawn spoke up to her boyfriend's Ex. "What's wrong?" Dawn kept her glare up towards Ronnie Anne as she crossed her arms. The normally pacifistic girl was just itching for a little revenge due to how Ronnie Anne was treating Lincoln today, she was just being extra nasty. "Scared of taking me on…Nini,"
Everyone went silent at that as Ronnie Anne took a deep breath before looking towards Dawn, an intense fire of hatred burning in her eyes. "You know what…" Ronnie Anne humorlessly chuckled as she looked down at the hippie, fully intent on making her hurt during their round. "I am so going to enjoy beating you into the dirt."
CONFESSIONAL – Chris
"Ok so truthfully, I messed with the results a teensy bit, hehe," Chris chuckled as he revealed his master plan to the audience. "Justin did place in the same seed as Lincoln, that was true. But come on, how could I not put Ronnie Anne against Dawn? That's ratings gold right there!"
CONFESSIONAL – Lincoln
"Oh boy…" Lincoln could definitely say he was worried. Sure he knew Dawn was capable but when it came to being athletic he couldn't deny Ronnie Anne's skill. "I hope Dawn knows what she's doing."
ROUND ONE
LINDSAY VS HAROLD
The first round of the challenge took them to a boxing ring with Chris, who was dressed as a referee, taking the center of the stage as a microphone was lowered down to him. "In the right corner-ner-ner," Chris began announcing, repeating the end of words to simulate an echo. "From the Killer Grips-ips-ips-ips! The blond bombshell, the live lullapalooza, the blue eyed bruiser! Lindsay!!!"
Lindsay waved to the non-existent crowd as clapping sound effects were playing, the rest of her team outside of the ring by her corner with Lily running up to the team. "Go Lindsay! Go! Knock em and sock em and out shop em!"
"Aaaww, I do like shopping!" Lindsay clapped for Lily's little cheer.
"And in the left corner-er-er-er." Chris then pointed to the other side of the ring. "From the Screaming Gaffers-ers-ers-ers! The deluded dork! The lightweight loser! The knock-kneed numbskull! Haaaaarooooold!!!"
"Hey! That's not very flattering!" Harold crossed his arms and glared at Chris. "Why don't I get a cool intro like Lindsay!"
"Get em Harold! Get em!" Luckily Lily came in to provide a positive cheer for the ginger nerd. "You got skills! You got skills! Prove to them your mad skills!"
"That's more like it," Harold smiled and raised his head at that. "Glove me!" Both Lindsay and Harold were provided boxing gloves…but they were a little special. "What the-these are marshmallows."
"Props," Chris pointed out. "Don't want you hurting those pretty little actor faces now would we? And in true boxing movie fashion you'll both be fighting in…sloooooooow…mooooootiooooooon."
Ding-Ding!
A bell was then rung, courtesy of Edward and his tail, to signify the start of the round as Lindsay and Harold walked up to each other. But Harold took a bit longer as it was clear that Harold was taking the slow motion part of the challenge seriously. Both began circling around each other with their fists raised, Harold threw a few punches at Lindsay but she easily dodged them since he was throwing them in slow motion. "Yooooooour gooooooing dooooooown!" Harold told Lindsay in rather expert slow motion before throwing another punch at that.
"Woah!" Lindsay quickly dodged, not doing any slow motion at all before punching Harold right in the face.
"Aaaaaaaaaaah…" Harold let out in faux pain as he walked backwards against the ropes of the ring and bounced against it back towards the center.
"Wow he is really good at this," Bridgette admitted with a smile.
"Keep it up Harold!" Dawn cheered on her teammate.
When Harold approached Lindsay again, the ginger nerd threw another slow punch at her only for Lindsay to catch it and take a bite out of Harold's gloves. "Don't bite him!" Heather yelled out to her as the rest of her team facepalmed. "Fight him!"
CONFESSIONAL – Ronnie Anne
"I swear if she cost us the win today…" Ronnie Anne growled out as she tightened her fist.
Ding-Ding!
"Round two-wo-wo-wo!" Chris announced as Edward waddled by with a sign in his mouth with the number two on it.
Lindsay and Harold approached each other again and like in the first round Harold was keeping up the slow motion with his speech and punches with Lindsay not bothering with any of that and easily evading all of Harold's blows. "Keep it up Harold!" Lincoln cheered on his friend with a big grin. "Show her what you can do!"
"That's the plan!" Harold smirked as he looked back at his teammates, briefly dropping the slow motion to talk to his teammates. "She won't know what hit-"
Bam!
And Harold was struck with a strong blow to the face that sent him down to the ground. "1…2…" Chris began counting down.
"Come on Harold!" DJ called out as his team gave Harold worried looks. "Get up!"
"345678910!" Chris quickly finished the count down before raising his hand up. "And the winner is-is-is-is…Harold and the Screaming Gaffers!"
All the Gaffers cheered in response to this while the Grips all gasped in disbelief. "What?! No he didn't!" Ronnie Anne refused to let this fly and yelled out at Chris. "No he didn't! Lindsay knocked him out!"
"He got extra points for doing such good slow motion," Chris pointed out to the Grips, making Ronnie Anne grit her teeth, before the host pointed to Lindsay. "Plus I had to dock points for biting, very unsportsmanlike Miss Tyson~"
"This was fixed!" Lindsay yelled before she raised her fist and began walking towards Chris causing Geoff and Justin to go in and hold her back. "Ref's going doooown!"
"Easy tiger," Chris chuckled a bit as they proceeded to the next round.
ROUND TWO
Heather vs Bridgette
The set of the next round took them to a badminton court with Justin picking up one of the rackets and swinging it around. "Hey look it's a miniature tennis court," Justin said with amusement as Chris seemed to take offense to that and narrowed his eyes at Justin. "Even got a miniature tennis racket, where are the miniature tennis balls and how come the net is so stupidly high?"
"It's not a tennis court Justin," Chris rather aggressively told Justin as he took the racket away from the handsome teen while glaring at him. "It's a badminton court!"
"There was never a sports movie about badminton," Justin pointed out with everyone nodding in confirmation. "That would be seriously lame,"
"There was a movie about it, it was very unlame!" Chris stated defensively before smirking and puffing his chest out. "And it stared the very talented…me!"
"…" Everyone was silent as they simply gave Chris blank looks.
"…Why thank you for asking," Chris responded to the silence as he walked away with him holding his badminton racket over his shoulder. "I would love to recreate my big scene!"
Chris then dramatically turned to everyone else, his eyes narrowed as he got into character with Chef walking up behind him with a look of longing on the buff cook's face. "I just want you to know, you guys are the best darn badminton players I've had the pleasure of coaching!" Chris recited the scene word for word while waving the racket around. "You're beacons of freedom! Go show the Olympic committee we deserve a shot! Show them it's not badminton! It's goodminton! Heck, it's greatminton! Now get out there and win one for the flipper!"
At the end of the scene, Chef began tearing up.
CONFESSIONAL – Chef
"Why couldn't the Olympic committee just give the flipper a break?" Chef sniffled a little, the scene Chris reenacted hitting a sore spot within the normally unbreakable cook. "It was his big dream!"
"Battle for supremacy in our second round, Bridgette and Heather!" Chris began as he put on a red cap and sat in a judge's seat that gave him a perfect view of the badminton court. "Now normally badminton games are first to 21 to win, but since that'll take too long first to five points wins!"
Bridgette walked out to the court with a green badminton racket as Heather was heading to court with a red racket. But before the queen bee went out to the court, she walked up to Ronnie Anne and handed her teammate a hand mirror before whispering something to her ear with Ronnie Anne grinning and nodding her head.
CONFESSIONAL – Heather
"Don't get me wrong, I'm confident in my athletic abilities," Heather stated as she proudly put a hand to her chest. "But Bridgette is no slouch herself so it doesn't hurt to have some…insurance~"
"Gaffers serve!" Chris decided after a quick coin flip and tossed a birdie to Bridgette…which was a squeaky toy that actually looked like a bird. "Watch the birdie!"
"Feathers are about to fly!" Heather stated as she got into proper position and got ready to cream Bridgette in this game.
"You got this Bridgette!" Lincoln and the rest of the Gaffers cheered her on.
"You can do this Bridgette!" Lily began cheering for Bridgette while standing next to the judge's seat. "Give me a V! Give me an I! Give me a K! Give me a T! Give me an R! Give me an E!" What's that spell, Victory!"
"…" Everyone was silent as they looked towards Lincoln.
CONFESSIONAL – Lincoln
"Leave her alone, she's 6," Lincoln said firmly, "who expects a 6 year old to spell everything perfectly?"
"Hehe, thanks Lily," Bridgette giggled a bit at Lily's misspelled cheer.
"Um, hello," Heather yelled out towards the cheerleading toddler. "Where's my cheer?"
"…Heather, Heather, she's our girl," Lily began a quick cheer for Heather, though it was easy to see how half hearted it was. "If she can't do it, GREAT!"
"Tch, bias much," Heather grumbled a bit.
"And…serve!" Chris announced before blowing his whistle.
Bridgette smirked confidentially as she tossed the birdie up and served it to Heather's side, the bird letting out a squeak as Bridgette hit it. Heather smirked and managed to return it to Bridgette's side. Bridgette was about to hit it, but as she went for the return hit a beam of light hit her eyes. "Gah!" Bridgette ended up being briefly blinded causing her to swing and miss the shot.
"First point goes to Heather!" Chris announced as Edward, who was in front of the scoreboard, reluctantly flipped the score of the Grips to one point.
"That was too easy!" Heather smirked before sending a wink towards Ronnie Anne, who was holding the hand mirror Heather gave her and was the one responsible for blinding Bridgette.
And unfortunately for the Gaffers, that was basically how it went for the entire game. Everytime Bridgette was about to return Heather's shot, the surfer girl was blinded by the light Ronnie Anne was shining into her eyes and in no time at all Heather got all five points. "And in a clean sweep Heather wins it for the Grips!" Chris announced as the Grips all cheered with Heather smugly holding the racket over her shoulder. "Bridgette, you bring shame to the great sport of badminton!"
"Bridgette what happened out there?" Lincoln asked with a concerned look as he and the rest of the team walked up to Bridgette who was rubbing her eyes. "You should have been able to cream Heather out there,"
"Oh I'm sure they know why," Bridgette growled out as she pointed her racket towards the Grips. "Everytime I went to return the shot a light shined in my eyes. I'm sure they were behind it."
"Foul play!" Harold claimed as he glared at the Grips. "We should've known. But why didn't you say anything?"
"You really think Chris would care about that?" Bridgette questioned with everyone immediately agreeing. Yeah Chris wasn't usually one to be too keen on following the rules perfectly. "Besides I didn't wanna give them the satisfaction of trying to say something was up and them trying to cover it up,"
"Don't worry Bridgette, we're still in this!" Dawn reassured the surfer girl by putting a hand on her shoulder. "We can still win this!"
"Dawn's right! We ain't gonna let them get away with this!" Jasmine stated as she held up a fist before looking down to Lincoln. "Lincoln, think you can win the next one?"
"Against Justin?" Lincoln asked with a smirk before nodding confidentially. "No problem,"
"Here, you should take these just in case," Harold reached into his pocket and pulled out two cotton balls and handed them to Lincoln. Lincoln raised a brow at his friend but Harold was quick to explain. "Ronnie Anne's been trying to get into your head all day, just put these on and that should drown her out and you can focus on that game!"
"Ooooooh!" Lincoln grinned and nodded his head, quickly putting the cotton balls into his ears and heading off to the next part of the challenge with the rest of his team. "Let's do this~"
ROUND THREE
Lincoln vs Justin
The next set they went to for the halfway point was a baseball field with Lincoln and Justin both standing at the start of it on opposite sides of the home plate wielding a bat and wearing a batting helmet that matched their team color with their teams all standing behind the batting cage. "And for round three we're taking this one out to the ball game!" Chris announced as he walked in between the two teen boys dressed as a baseball coach. "This ones simple, Lincoln, Justin, you boys gotta hit as many balls as you can!"
Chef then came in pulling two automatic pitching machines with him and set them both up so they were aiming at Lincoln and Justin. "Each pitching machine is armed with 30 baseballs, to win you need to hit the most balls!" Chris explained the challenge as Chef started up both of the machines. "And you have to hit them into the field! Foul balls won't add to your score. And if we have a tie we'll reload them and the first one to miss a ball loses."
"Hope you're ready for a fresh humiliation snowball," Justin smirked confidentially at Lincoln as he twirled his bat around. However Lincoln didn't respond at all as he kept his eyes forward causing Justin to narrow his eyes at him for ignoring the handsome teen's words with Justin looking forward and getting into batting position. "Get ready to lose."
"Hit em out of the park!" Lily began cheering, making sure to stay out of range of the pitching machines. "Hit em right out of this world!"
"And…batter up!" Chris announced with a whistle blow before he quickly sped walked away as Chef turned on the machines.
Both teens narrowed their eyes as the balls began firing at them at a steady pace with both hitting them and managing to stay tied for most of the beginning part. Seeing Lincoln actually doing well at the challenge, Ronnie Anne smirked and thought it was time for more words of discouragement. "Wow Lincoln, for someone who did everything they could to get out of physical activities you sure are doing well for yourself out there," Ronnie Anne yelled out in a mocking tone. The Hispanic teen smirked, thinking this would get to Lincoln…but to her surprise Lincoln didn't react at all and instead kept hitting the balls as they came. Irritated, Ronnie Anne growled a bit before trying to repeat what she said. "I SAID-"
"Sorry about that~" Interrupting her was Harold who, along with all the Gaffers, was giving her a smug look as the ginger nerd pointed to his ears. "He can't hear you right now~"
Ronnie Anne glared at Harold before looking towards Lincoln…and seeing the cotton balls in his ears. Gasping, Ronnie Anne turned to Harold and gave him a vicious look at how he completely ruined her plans. "Why you little…" Ronnie Anne held her hands out to try and strangle Harold only for a certain Amazon to stand in her way.
"I suggest you back off Shelia," Jasmine glared down at Ronnie Anne while crossing her arms. "Or else."
Knowing that she stood no chance against Jasmine, Ronnie Anne could only glare at her.
CONFESSIONAL – Ronnie Anne
"I can't wait to knock that team down even more…" Ronnie Anne narrowed her eyes dangerously at the camera.
"Crap!" Justin yelled out, interrupting Ronnie Anne glaring at the Gaffers as she looked to see Justin messing up and missing his first ball while Lincoln was successfully keeping up with everything. As the round went on the balls were pitched faster and faster. Justin struggled even more after losing his momentum after missing that first ball while Lincoln managed to keep it up and successfully keep up with the balls' increasing speed.
"And that's the ball game!" Chris announced after all the balls in both pitching machines ran out with Justin having only hit 17 balls and Lincoln hitting all 30. "Lincoln wins with a perfect score! Gaffers takes the lead again two to one!"
CONFESSIONAL – Justin
"I can't keep losing to this guy!" Justin yelled out in a panicked voice. Once again he gets second to someone like Lincoln! It was only getting increasingly more humiliating! "I mean look at me! I'm better looking! I'm more muscular! And I'm tanned! I should be better by default!"
ROUND FOUR
GEOFF VS DJ
The next round took them to a soccer field with DJ and Geoff standing in the middle of the field with DJ being to the left and Geoff to the right and in front of them at the end of the field was Chef in front of a goal with his hands up and ready to catch any balls that came his way. "DJ, Geoff, you two are gonna have a friendly game of soccer! Or Football to all those outside of North America." Chris chuckled a bit as he came up to the field wearing a typically black and white coach shirt and cap. "Your teams are gonna toss you balls to kick to the goal that Chef will attempt to catch. The one who scores the highest after three minutes wins!"
"Kick them! Kick them! Kick them good!" Lily cheered while on the stands, making some kicking movements to emphasize her cheers. "Kick em till you can't kick anymore!"
"And…go!" Chris blew his whistle to start the match before running off the field.
Immediately the Gaffers and Grips began tossing soccer balls to DJ and Geoff respectively with both trying to kick them towards the goal as they came. However it was obvious who was doing a better job as Geoff was hitting more balls successfully towards the goal, though many of his shots were blocked by Chef, while DJ was a bit more clumsy and struggled to hit the balls properly.
CONFESSIONAL – DJ
"I'm…not much in the leg department," DJ sheepishly admitted as he lifted up one his legs while flexing an arm to show off the differences in them and clearly showed one was given far more attention than the other. "More of an upper body guy know what I'm sayin?"
As the round went on, Geoff was the first to score a couple points for his team with Edward being the one to keep score like with the badminton game. By the time the first minute passed Geoff had scored four points for the Grips while DJ only managed to score one. "Come on DJ!" Lincoln tried to cheer the brickhouse on as he and the other Gaffers continued to throw balls to DJ as he struggled to hit them towards the goal with most of the ones he did manage to hit towards the goal were blocked by Chef. "We know you can do this!"
"I-I'm trying guys!" DJ let out as sweat dripped down his head as he continued to struggle. "I've never played soccer before!"
"You got this DJ!" Jasmine cheered the brickhouse on more, yelling as loud as she could. She knew how capable DJ was and knew that if he truly believed he could do it, then he could do it without a doubt. "We believe in you! I believe in you mate! Just give it everything you got!"
Jasmine's cheer resonated with DJ a bit, but soon he heard another voice begin to call out. "Come on you sissies! Give me everything you got!" Chef yelled at what seemed to be both of them, but DJ knew better. Chef's eyes were directed at him with the buff cook narrowing his eyes at the brickhouse, challenging him. "Unless you're not man enough!"
"…" DJ didn't know what it was, but after that he felt a fire burning from deep within him wanting to prove Chef wrong. Narrowing his eyes and gritting his teeth, DJ began kicking the balls with a renewed vigor with all of these being aimed properly at the goal. Chef narrowed his eyes at this and began struggling to catch both DJ's goals as well as Geoff's with DJ's score increasing and beginning to catch up to Geoff's.
"Oh man!" Geoff noticed this and gritted his own teeth as he began doubling his efforts.
Things were soon coming down to the wire as both were neck and neck and the final seconds of the clocked ticked down and-
BLAAAAAAARE!!!
"And that's game!" Chris announced as everything came to a stop with the host walking to the middle of the score. "Edward, the scores please!"
"…Brbrbrbr…" Edward let out sadly after looking at the scores.
Geoff – 15
DJ – 14
"This was a close one folks but it looks like the Grips win!" Chris announced as the Grips started cheering as DJ gasped and looked down in shame. Even after all that effort he couldn't do it, he was just one point off. "Once again things are tied and I have a feeling the next round will be the most exciting yet!"
As DJ was walking back to his team in a slump, he felt a strong hand being put on his shoulder as Chef walked past him. "Good hustle out there kid," Chef whispered to DJ before walking away.
That did get DJ to put a smile back on.
ROUND FIVE
DAWN VS RONNIE ANNE
Once again the teams found themselves back at the boxing ring that Chris was gonna use again for this round, a round that the host was rather giddy for. The entire time they were heading to the ring and waiting for Chris to show up Dawn and Ronnie Anne were glaring at each other, with neither backing down as everyone could feel the tension that was emanating between the two of them.
"Everyone, attention!" Chris announced in a deep dramatic voice as Chef wheeled Chris in on a Greek styled carriage with Chef wearing a gladiator helmet and Chris wearing a toga. "The score is two to two and now Ronnie Anne of the Killer Grips and Dawn of the Screaming Gaffers will attempt to break the tie competing in Greco-Roman Wrestling!"
"Wrestling! Hah!" Ronnie Anne laughed as she glared fiercely at Dawn while pounding a fist into an open palm. "That's practically a free win! There's no animals to help you this time you hippie freak!"
"…There's still a way to resolve this peacefully." Dawn told Ronnie Anne, not even flinching at the looks and words the Latina was sending her. "There's no need to resort to this,"
"Sounds like coward talk to me~" Ronnie Anne responded with a sinister smirk. "If you wanna give up and save yourself the embarrassment I don't blame you~"
"…Let's do this," Dawn growled out.
"This is gonna get ugly fast…" Jasmine let out in a worried tone with all the Gaffers nodding in agreement.
Soon Dawn and Ronnie Anne were both in wrestling outfits, Dawn's being green and Ronnie's being red with both outfits having their respective teams logo on the back, and they were standing in two different corners on the ring. "Both fighters ready…" Chris began with an eager grin. Edward was waiting by the bell and Lily was sitting next to her brother in the stands with a worried look, the toddler not feeling up to making any cheers right now given how intense things were feeling already. "And…FIGHT!!!
Ding-Ding!
As soon as Edward rang the bell Ronnie Anne was the first one to let out a battle cry and immediately began charging at Dawn with the intent of clobbering the hippy into the ground. But Dawn easily anticipated this and began dodging all of Ronnie Anne's strikes. Despite this being wrestling, Chris wasn't doing anything about the punches Ronnie Anne was throwing. This was less wrestling and more of a cage match as Ronnie Anne pulled whatever move she could.
While Ronnie Anne was going all out offensive, Dawn was going purely defensive. The nature loving girl was either dodging or blocking all of Ronnie Anne's blows and strikes and managed to take zero damage from anything she threw Dawn's way causing Ronnie Anne to get further frustrated. "Hold! Still! So! I! Can! Hit! You!" Ronnie Anne let out as she unleashed punch after punch with Dawn continuing to expertly dodge them while glaring at Ronnie Anne. "What? Don't think you can actually take me?!"
"No! I just don't believe in being a brutish bully like you!" Dawn let out as she grabbed one of Ronnie Anne's fists and managed to push the Latina to the side and get her to stumble with Ronnie Anne barely managing to catch herself from falling. "You've been letting this petty grudge get to you this whole time and trying to make Lincoln and everyone around you suffer for it!"
"Petty!? Oh you really have no clue do you hippie girl!!" Ronnie yelled through her teeth as she tried to lunge at Dawn with the pacifist jumping back to dodge. Every word Dawn said just made Ronnie Anne angry and made her wanna beat the crap out of her more and fully show Dawn her place underneath her. "Ya know now that I think about it you and Lame-O really are perfect for each other!"
"Shut up!" Dawn growled out, not wanting anything about Lincoln to leave the bully's mouth. "You don't deserve to talk about him!"
"You're both nothing but a bunch of losers!" Ronnie Anne let out as she tried to punch Dawn again only for the pacifist to catch it in her hand with Ronnie Anne quickly throwing another punch with her opposite fist with Dawn catching that one too and leading to the girls entering a power struggle. "I watched the first season! You said it yourself, you were a friendless loser before this show and it only took a stupid bleeding heart like Lame-O to finally give you a chance when he was on a damn rebound!"
"You don't know anything!" Dawn yelled back as both struggled to get a leg up over the other.
"Oh man…" DJ let out as he covered his eyes after seeing how intense this was getting. "I can't watch…"
"Oooooh I think I do!" Ronnie Anne responded with a cruel smirk. "Figures he couldn't do any better than me so he had to settle with a freak like you! Not that he's any better! You two are just perfect for each other, just a bunch of freaks with no one else to turn to!"
"He's a million times better than you'll ever be!!!" Dawn snapped at her, a look of rage entering her eyes that was completely foreign on the normally calm and peaceful girl.
"Oh right, keep telling yourself that!" Ronnie Anne further mocked, doing her best to try and overpower Dawn, the hippy proving to have more strength to her than meets the eye. "Face it! The best you and him could ever do was a freaky loser who has absolutely nothing!!!"
And Dawn found herself reaching a breaking point.
CONFESSIONAL – Dawn
"I am a calm stream, I am a calm stream…" Dawn repeated to herself while sitting in the lotus position.
"(BLEEP) THE STREAM!!!" Dawn yelled out as she let go of one of Ronnie Anne's fists causing the Hispanic teen to tumble forward allowing Dawn to reach her neck and-
Pinch!
"AH!" Ronnie Anne let out as Dawn pinched an area of her neck. In an instant Ronnie Anne felt her body go limp as she fell onto her back. Grunting, Ronnie Anne tried to move but found nothing from her body responding. "W-What did you do!? I-I can't move!"
"Crap!" Heather let out as she facepalmed, remembering when Dawn did that against her on their last day on the Island. "I forgot to warn her about that, this is over…"
"…" Dawn was silent as she approached Ronnie Anne again, the Hispanic teen looking up and seeing Dawn looking down with blank eyes as if there was no emotion behind them. Dawn then reared back her fist, aiming right at Ronnie Anne's face and-
BAM!
"GAH!" Ronnie Anne let out as Dawn struck her as hard as she could, the hippy hitting harder than Ronnie Anne ever thought as her face immediately began aching. But it didn't stop there
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
Dawn doesn't stop.
She just kept going.
Like a force of nature.
"Crikey…" Jasmine was the first one to speak up, her and everyone else looking at the scene in front of them in complete shock.
"Woah!" But Chris merely grinned at this as he leaned back and enjoyed the show. "And the pacifist pulls ahead!"
And everyone just watched as Dawn continued to pummel Ronnie Anne, the aura reader acting completely out of character as she only continued to strike harder and harder with Ronnie Anne now being beaten into unconscious with her whole face black and blue and few bits of blood coming out of some places.
Lincoln was watching his girlfriend do this with a completely stunned look as he felt a tug on his leg. "Linky…" Lily began, her voice shaky and obviously frightened over what she was seeing. "Tell her to stop…"
"…D-Dawn I think you did enough!" Lincoln immediately yelled, trying to get his girlfriend to back off beating the crap out of his ex. "She's not getting back up!"
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
But Dawn didn't stop and continued to further beat up Ronnie Anne much to everyone's horror as Lincoln stood up and yelled out to her. "DAWN STOP!!!!" Lincoln tried to reach out to her again. "YOU WON!!!"
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
"S-Seriously Dawn," Even Chris was stepping in now as he could see this was getting to be a bit much. "I think she's had enough."
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
"…Ooooook, going a little far here," Luckily Chris planned for just this occasion…he just thought the girls' position would be reversed. "Chef! Code purple!"
Chef then took out his trusty rifle, aimed it at Dawn and fired a tranquilizer dart right at her butt. "AH!" Dawn let out as she finally stopped her assault as the dart pierced her butt, with Dawn falling unconscious afterward.
Chef then casually walked into the ring and picked up both girls, carrying them over his shoulders, and walked them off to the infirmary. "Guess we would use the medical tent after all, hehe," Chris tried to joke to lower the tension a bit…it didn't work. "So. Dawn technically won, buuuuut she went overboard."
"So that means they don't get a point?" Heather inquired, although she'd never admit it she was also greatly taken aback by what she just witnessed.
"Yep! Consider it a penalty!" Chris stated allowing the Grips to at least breathe some sigh of relief with everything still being tied up. "Both teams are still at two points each! So it comes down to the last two of both teams! Jasmine vs Izzy!"
"The hell?!" Jasmine let out as she stood up. "You can't expect us to still compete after all that!"
"Yeah! That even freaked me out!" Izzy fully admitted, the crazy girl completely taken off guard by what she saw Dawn do.
"Oooook, fine ya big babies," Chris rolled his eyes, but secretly he understood where they were coming from. He was a bit freaked out by all of that. "Take ten minutes to calm down and then we can start the final round."
Meanwhile Lincoln was trying to comfort a shaking Lily. "W-Why did Dawn d-do that…" Lily asked Lincoln in a frightened tone. She's never seen Dawn like that before. Sure Ronnie Anne was being a bit of a jerk in there…there was no need to do that.
"I…I don't know…" Lincoln let out with an uncertain tone. Sure Ronnie Anne was definitely getting on their nerves today and Lincoln certainly couldn't blame himself or anyone for wanting to get a little payback on her but what Dawn did…Lincoln didn't think she was capable of doing something like that. It…wasn't something he particularly enjoyed watching. "I'll…I'll talk to her ok?"
"…Ok…" Lily said as Lincoln got up and went to follow Chef to the infirmary, wanting to stay by Dawn's side while she slept so they could discuss this later.
CONFESSIONAL – DJ
"I…I can't believe Dawn did that…" DJ slowly said, looking down and trying to contemplate what he just saw. "I…It wasn't right…"
CONFESSIONAL – Harold
"I think I'm scared of Dawn now," Harold admitted. After everything he saw he wasn't sure he could see Dawn as the nice peace loving girl she used to be. "And not the attracted kind of scared."
CONFESSIONAL – Bridgette
"…I know this competition can get to people but…" Bridgette shook her head, clearly struggling to think of what to say. What was she supposed to say about all…that? What she saw…it wasn't Dawn. "I think…I think this is all getting to be too much for her…crap I hate having to talk about Lincoln's girlfriend like this but…that's really the only way I can describe everything…"
CONFESSIONAL – Jasmine
"Don't…Don't get me wrong I've certainly gotten into my fair share of fights…" Jasmine admitted, knowing she was certainly scrappy to say the least. But that wasn't any form of fighting. "But I've never gotten that far…"
ROUND SIX
Jasmine vs Izzy
Everyone was back at the football field where they started this whole thing. Even after the ten minute breather Chris gave them everyone was still a bit…on edge. The only people not there were the unconscious Dawn and Ronnie Anne along with Lincoln who decided to stay in the infirmary with Dawn. Lily and Edward were also gone with Chris giving the two the rest of the day off. "Ok…on the final round. Whoever wins this will win the challenge for their team!" Chris announced though neither the Grips nor the Gaffers looked rather excited about that. "Now since we've had…quite the day today I'll keep things simple for this final one. Izzy, Jasmine, you two will be competing in a series of gymnastic trials."
"Gymnastics?" Jasmine let out in alarm before looking at the field and seeing various gymnastic sets all set up on the football field. "…Ah bloody hell…"
CONFESSIONAL – Jasmine
"Soooo…not exactly a gymnastics gal…" Jasmine shakily admitted.
"You'll both compete in three events judged by me," Chris explained as he gestured to everything set up on the football field. "First you'll do a vault," Chris gestured to a long gym mat that had a springboard on with a stand in front of it. "Then a balance beam that stretches across the entire length of the field," Chris pointed to the long balance beam. "Then finally you'll do the uneven bars."
"You'll be competing for points that range from one to ten, most points by the end wins the whole thing for their team. And gymnastics is all about fancy movement so pull off some sick tricks and you'll earn yourself more points." Chris explained the rules before pulling out a coin. "Now then we'll flip to see who goes first, Jasmine I'll let it be your call,"
"Um, heads," Jasmine took a second to decide her answer.
Chris flipped the coin and caught it before turning it upside down. "Tails!" Chris announced after seeing what side the coin ended up on. "Izzy, you'll go through the three first and then Jasmine will try to beat your score,"
"You got it," Izzy seemed to have recovered the most from earlier, though it was obvious she was still a bit out of it, as she walked up to the vault. "This one's for Canada! And Owen! And my parole officer wherever he is! Yaaaaaah!"
Izzy then charged forward and jumped on the springboard and launched herself into the air, flipping around multiple times before landing hands first on the stand and flipping onto the end of the mat feet first while striking a pose. "Nice moves Izzy! I give that a solid 8!" Chris nodded in approval before gesturing to the balance beam. "Now onto part 2!"
Izzy nodded before walking over to the end of the long balance beam. Getting onto it, Izzy narrowed her eyes before smirking and sprinting on the beam, amazing everyone about how she was able to stay on effortlessly. And as she ran, she began doing cartwheels on the beam and then hand walking and flips, and when she reached the end she ended it with a long jump and landed while doing the splits. "Daaaang! And I give that a perfect ten!" Chris clapped for Izzy's performance. "18 points so far Izzy, let's see how you end this off on the uneven bars!"
Izzy nodded and went to the last part of the challenge, the uneven bars. Jumping onto the higher bar and began spinning on that one, jumping and flipping in the air at the apex of her spin on the bars and catching herself on the bar again before jumping to the smaller bar and began jumping from bar to bar. "Look! I'm like a monkey!" Izzy yelled out as she began making monkey sounds while switching from bar to bar and pulling off more fancy moves while on them, putting on quite the show. Once she was done Izzy flipped off the bar and again nailed a perfect landing on her feet. "Thank you! I'll be here all week! Assuming I don't get voted off, but I really hope I don't get voted off haha!"
"And I think that earns you a solid nine points!" Chris announced as he clapped for Izzy before turning to Jasmine. "Jasmine, 27 points is the amount to beat! You ready?"
"…No Chris, I-I don't think I am," Jasmine shook her head. It definitely wounded her pride to do this, but this was just how things were gonna go. She knew she didn't stand a chance at beating Izzy at freaking gymnastics so…she knew what choice to make. "I forfeit."
"You forfeit?" Chris repeated, though he didn't seem surprised. "You sure?"
"Honestly Chris, there ain't no way I'm gonna score higher. This body was not built for acrobatics," Jasmine explained as she gestured to her body. She could kick anyone's butt in any sort of test of strength and might, but she wasn't exactly graceful. "Plus I don't think I can give my A-Game right now, I wanna just humbly accept defeat."
"Well Jasmine, if that's the choice you wanna make then the Grips are today's winners!" Chris announced as the Grips all began cheering for their victory. "Gaffers, prepare for another Gilded Chris ceremony tonight where one of you will face an early sports retirement!"
"I'll go tell Lincoln," Harold offered as he began walking in the direction of the infirmary.
Currently in the infirmary, Dawn and Ronnie Anne were still asleep with Dawn simply laying on one of the beds with Ronnie Anne having been patched up by Chef but still of course looking incredibly beat up. The whole time Lincoln was at Dawn's bedside gently holding her hand and waiting for her to wake up so they could…talk about what happened. As Lincoln simply sat next to his girlfriend, Harold stepped into the tent and flinched a bit as he saw the sleeping Dawn. "Has she woken up yet?" Harold asks, Lincoln simply shaking his head.
"No, no she hasn't." Lincoln sighed out as he rubbed his temples. "We lost didn't we?"
"Afraid so," Harold nodded his head, looking down a bit. "It's another elimination challenge I'm afraid."
"Great…just great…" Lincoln sighed out and looked down, already knowing who would be on the chopping block now. "Thanks…Thanks for telling me Harold, me and Dawn will be there later…"
Harold nodded and decided to leave Lincoln alone, knowing he would rather have some time to himself right now. Once Harold was gone Lincoln sighed again and shook his head. Keeping his eyes on the ground. "I heard…" Lincoln's eyes shot open as he looked at Dawn, now awake with her eyes filled with tears. "I heard everything…"
As Dawn quietly shed tears, Lincoln was quick to comfort her.
THE GILDED CHRIS CEREMONY
"Sooooo…quite the day huh?" Chris slowly began after going on stage with the Grips, minus Ronnie Anne, all fancied up and sitting in the VIP seats with the Gaffers sitting in the losers seats. Though everyone other than Lincoln was sitting away from Dawn with the nature lover looking completely ashamed of herself with red puffy eyes. "Welp, if I were a betting man I'd say the odds are Dawn's getting sent home tonight. Really freaked everyone out here today."
"I understand…" Dawn let out with a lowered head as Lincoln glared at Chris.
"Yep, you're definitely the most likely to be voted off today…" Chris repeated this…before breaking out into a large mischievous grin. "Ya know…that's what I would say if this was an elimination round! Which it's NOT! Psssssyche!!!"
"WHAT?!" The Gaffers all said in unison.
"W-Why?!" Heather let out angrily as she gestured to her and the Grips. "We won!!!"
"True, which is why tomorrow you'll be heading off to watch the big hockey game!" Chris told the Grips their reward they just won today with a sly shit-eating grin on his face. "In the VIP box to boot!"
"It was just a reward challenge?" Justin asked in an irritated tone.
"Then what was the point of all this?" Geoff asked with his own glare.
"No point," Chris fully admitted with a shrug. "Just felt like psyching you all out is all!"
"Not cool Chris!" Lincoln yelled at the host with a harsh glare.
"Hey you should be thanking me snowball!" Chris stated as he crossed his arms while pointing a finger at Dawn. "Your girlfriend's nice and safe…for now," Chris pointed out, making Dawn sigh, before he turned to the camera. "What kind of blood shed will we see next? Will Ronnie Anne make a successful recovery? And how will this affect the Gaffers teamwork? Find out all this and more next time on Total…Drama…Action!"
LATER THAT NIGHT
Later that night, Dawn isolated herself away from the trailers. Sitting by herself at the stands of the football set curled up into a ball with her head between her knees. As she sat in silence, she felt someone sit down next to her. "Hey," The soft gentle voice of her boyfriend spoke to her. "Mind if I sit here?"
"…" Dawn was silent for a moment before finally managing to force some words out. "I can't believe I allowed my anger to take over like that…"
"Dawn it's okay-"
"No it's not!" Dawn snapped towards Lincoln, a complete look of shame on her face.
"Dawn…" Lincoln said to her calmly.
"I try so hard to keep in control of my emotions…" Dawn sniffled a bit as she teared up again. "To resolve things without resorting to violence…" Lincoln was quiet as he allowed Dawn to vent. "And...I failed…I let my anger take over and…now everyone is afraid of me…"
"…" Lincoln didn't say anything, instead he softly wrapped his girlfriend into a gentle hug. "Everyone makes mistakes."
"…Please let me go," Dawn whispered to him. "I don't deserve this."
"I won't," Lincoln was firm and only hugged her more, making her start sniffling. "Look…I've been letting her get to me too. This is just what she wanted to happen. But I promise you Dawn…I don't think any less of you. Not at all,"
"…Thank you…" At this, Dawn managed to give a small smile as she leaned into his embrace. "I love you…you're too good for me…"
"Hey that's my line," Lincoln said in a joking tone, managing to get a small giggle out of Dawn. "Look…from now on let's just forget about Ronnie Anne. She's gotten to us enough, so let's just pretend she doesn't exist."
"I think that's for the best," Dawn nodded in agreement, not wanting that to ever happen again.
"Then it's settled," Lincoln nodded firmly. "We forget about her and focus on getting back in good graces with everyone."
"Yeah…" Dawn looked down, knowing fully well how their team feels about her now.
"Here, let me help," Lincoln reassured her as he pulled Dawn into a gentle and loving kiss.
"Hehe…" Dawn let out after they separated. "That does feel better."
And as the two embraced again, watching the whole thing was a now awake Ronnie Anne. Seeing the two of them still together, still going strong even after what Dawn did. Even after everything…he still loves and supports her. Nothing changed at all and for a few brief moments she was reminded of her and Lincoln's fallen out and everything after that leading to this very day. And she was only angrier than ever.
"This. Isn't. Over," Ronnie Anne promised before she walked away, a dark look on her face.
