DAWN AND BRIDGETTE
"Hey Bridgette," Dawn began as the two blonds were on sewing machines next to each other. The girls decided it was best to stick together during this challenge, especially after what happened with Geoff earlier. And while Dawn was sewing she looked at Bridgette and saw a distant look in the surfer girl's eyes and quickly grew concerned. "Are you ok?"
"….No, no I'm not," Bridgette stopped sewing as she put a hand to her head and answered. Normally Bridgette would have said she was fine as to not worry her friends, but she knew that she both couldn't lie to Dawn and she just didn't have it in her to pretend to be fine. "It's just…I can't believe what's happening with Geoff…it feels like I hardly know him anymore…"
"Yes…his aura really has changed for the worse…" Dawn lamented as she put a hand on Bridgette's back to support her. She's seen the aura of her cast mates change, but usually it was for the better. Courtney breaking out of her shell and breaking free from being the uptight goody-goody, Gwen becoming more social and less isolated, Lindsay becoming more competent and confident, DJ becoming tougher and braver, and of course how much Lincoln has changed. But she could safely say Geoff was one who ended up changing for the worst. "I'm so sorry…if I noticed it sooner I could of-"
"Hey, don't blame yourself alright," But Bridgette cut Dawn off and sent the aura reader a smile. It was a sad smile but she managed to try and reassure her friend. "Both you and Lincoln were dealing with enough this season, I should have tried to reach out to Geoff more even if we were on separate teams…"
"Well no matter what, I promise we'll do whatever we can to help you," Dawn reassured Bridgette, making the surfer girl's smile a bit wider at her. They just had to find a way to get the old Geoff back and get rid of Ronnie Anne's toxic influence. As long as they kept the Hispanic bully from winning the challenge today, they could vote her out. No matter what it'd be 7 votes to 3, it was guaranteed.
As the girls were about to get back to work, Dawn looked forward and saw Lily walking through the set. The 6-year-old was wearing a dark purple suit with a white skirt. The little Loud obviously wearing something that would be related to a challenge later. "Hi Lily!" Dawn called out to the six-year-old and waved in her direction. "Cute costume today!"
"…Hmph," But Lily didn't spare Dawn any words and simply glared at the aura reader before walking away.
"Oh…" Dawn lowered her head sadly. Looks like Lily was still mad at her.
"What was that all about?" Bridgette asked with a raised brow, the surfer girl not knowing what was going on with the situation. "Is Lily mad at you about something?"
"Yes…it's about…the Sports Challenge…" Dawn said slowly, that challenge bringing up some sour memories with Bridgette wincing a bit as she also remembered what exactly happened in that challenge. "She still hasn't forgiven me for what I did to Ronnie Anne then…"
"Oh yeah, I guess I can understand that. She was…pretty scared when that was happening." Bridgette nodded in understanding. She knows she and their team at the time were certainly shaken by what happened and Lily, who was just a kid, was absolutely terrified by the events that took place. Looking, Bridgette frowned as she saw Dawn lower her head in sadness. But a smile soon graced the surfer girl's face as she put a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Hey, let me talk to her,"
"Huh?" Dawn let out as she looked up at Bridgette. "You'd…do that?"
"Of course," Bridgette reassured Dawn with a strong nod. "It's the least I can do. Now come on, let's cut it with the sad stuff for now we got a challenge to win." Dawn could nod in agreement to that and both were about to get to work on their costumes again…only to see the sewing machines they were using were now gone. "What the-Where'd our stuff go?!"
"Edward!" Dawn yelled out.
"Brbrbrbrbrb!"
RONNIE ANNE AND HEATHER
It…didn't take a genius to figure out that the villain alliance was now completely over.
Despite the knowledge that Chef and Edward would be sabotaging the contestants Heather and Ronnie Anne were gunning it to win for themselves so the other would get eliminated. And it soon became a war of sabotage between the two of them.
Heather made the first move as she used scissors to cut the cord of Ronnie Anne's sewing machine.
Ronnie Anne then retaliated by stealing all of Heather's materials and hiding them.
Heather then struck back by spray painting graffiti onto Ronnie Anne's costume.
And Ronnie Anne got revenge by dumping water on Heather's costume, ruining the material.
And watching this sabotage back and forth was Chef and Edward, who the two girls didn't notice as they were hell-bent on screwing the other over. "I…don't think we're needed here," Chef slowly said with Edward nodding in agreement.
And so after two hours, Chris had called time for everyone. It was time for them to show off their costumes and for this a runway was set up with Chris, Chef, and Edward sitting at the judges table. "It's time for TDA's first annual super hero contest!" Chris announced, playing up the event as the camera turned to the curtain at the start of the runaway. "Introducing our first super model! It's…"
"Wahoo!!!" Charging from behind the curtain was Izzy. The psycho hose beast ran forward with a mad grin on her face before jumping forward, landing on her hands, jumping again and doing a few flips in the air before landing on her feet and striking a pose, showing off her costume. Her costume consisted of skin tight spandex as it was required and was mostly brown in color with her having boots that went halfway up to her knees with her legs on fully display, a skin tight brown leotard with a green tornado pattern on it, her hair down up in a spiral design, and what looked to be bear claws attached to her hands. "Tada!"
"Impressive superhero landing Izzy," Chris clapped, impressed with the show as he looked over Izzy. "Superhero name and power?"
"They call me the Human Tornado! And I can become a cyclone that can tear anything apart! Watch!" Izzy then grinned ferly as she soon began spinning, eventually gaining enough speed to look like a brown tornado. But the dizziness soon caught up with her as she fell to her butt with her eyes spinning around. "Wooooooah the world's spinning now! Cool!"
"So you're basically the Tasmanian Devil? Ya know what, it fits you Izzy," Chris stated with a grin before he wrote down Izzy's score. "Five points!"
Izzy grinned, happy with the score before skipping away and taking her place was Geoff. His costume consisted of a dark blue jumpsuit with a white B in the middle of it, a blue mask, and a utility belt with various cans of soda attached to it. And of course he still had his signature hat on. "Hmmmm, costumes kinda basic…" Chris criticized with a raised brow. "But let's hear the power and name,"
"Well I thought about it and the superpower some dude wants to have, as it reveals not only one dude's interest and desires, but their fears as well," Geoff explained, getting everyone at the judges table to have their eyes widened, not expecting to hear such words of wisdom from Geoff. "So I decided on Belch Man!"
And just like that, the party dude they knew was back. "…Belch Man?" Chris repeated with a skeptical look.
"Yeah! I fight crime with the power of different burps dude! Check it!" Geoff grinned as he removed a soda from his utility belt, shook it up, and aimed it at his mouth before opening it up. With his mouth open wide, Geoff shot the soda into his mouth and down his throat in one go. After a few seconds Geoff's cheeks puffed up before, "BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURPPPPP!!!!!"
Geoff released a mighty burp, with enough force that it pushed Chris and Chef back a bit and completely knocked Edward off his chair. "…Ok…that's not too bad actually," Chris admitted as he gave Geoff his score. "6 points!"
"Sweet!" Geoff pumped a fist in victory before walking away.
Taking the party dude's place was Heather and she chose a rather interesting theme for her costume. She was a bee themed hero with her skin tight costume spread across her whole body from the neck down and of course consisted of black and yellow horizontal stripes. She had a pair of fairy wings she managed to find in the trash pile to act as bee wings, and she had a black mask with yellow highlights along with a headband with antennae on them. "My name is the queen bee!" Heather let out as she struck a pose while stomping on the ground. "And I have the power to make anyone do as I command!"
"Until your drones grow a few brains, hehe," Chris laughed, making Heather glare at him. "But, I will admit. The costume's pretty good and it's quite on theme for you Heather. Six points!"
"Hmph," Heather smirked victoriously as she took her leave from the runaway
"Behold!" And once she was gone, the next contestant was all too eager to step up. It was none other than Harold with him having a white jumpsuit with red highlights, a red cape, the Canadian Maple leaf on his spandex. He also had the logo that Chef switched out for his original one on his chest. "I am Captain Alberta! And I can swirl up a mighty chinook wind!" Grinning, Harold took out one of the burrito's he made last night and took a big bite of it. After swallowing it down, the ginger geek let out both a burp and a fart with the fart cloud being fired right at Chef. "That's one spicy burrito!"
Chef's eyes widened as the fart came out to him, with the snake themed villain coughing as it surrounded him. "It burns!" Chef yelled out before falling out of his chair coughing.
"Impressive! Gross. But Impressive! With Owen gone someone has to carry the fiery torch!" Chris had to admit as he gave Harold an impressed look. "And bonus points for keeping it Canadian, 8 points for Captain Alberta!"
"Yes!" Harold cheered for himself before leaving the stage.
Next coming up was Bridgette who wore a costume that consisted of blue skin tight pants with white water patterns over them and silver highlights, a silver bra with a shell in the middle, silver wristbands, and a seashell necklace. Bridgette also let her hair down out of its ponytail for this costume. "My name is Tidal Woman!" Bridgette announced dramatically as she did a little spin to show off her costume. "And I have the power to control the tides! And I can turn into a mermaid when I go in the water!
"Hm, water themed heroes are usually pretty lame but I gotta say, not too bad Bridgette," Chris nodded in approval before giving Bridgette her score. "Five points."
Bridgette shrugged at this. Not the best score in the world but considering she wasn't a huge superhero buff she wasn't too disappointed in what she got.
"Ahahahaha!" Running down the runaway next and clearly excited about doing this was Lincoln, proudly showing off his costume for all to see. The Loud boy's costume consisted of a black jumpsuit with an orange jacket over it and orange highlights around the suit, black combat boots, thick black gloves, and a pilots helmet he managed to fix the color of and turn silver. When he got to the end of the runaway, Lincoln began striking various poses as he spoke in a stereotypical superhero sounding voice. "I am the bringer of justice! Defender of the innocent! Punisher of the guilty! The superhero that defends the weak! I! Am! Eclipse!"
"Wow, really getting into this huh Linc?" Chris laughed in amusement at the show Lincoln was putting on. Can't say he wasn't playing the role. "But I like it! What are your powers Eclipse?"
"Well citizen, I have total mastery of the mind!" Lincoln explained, keeping up the superhero act as he put a finger to his forehead. "With my psychokinesis, I can defeat any villain that stands in the way of justice! Behold!"
Lincoln then spread his arms out and began using his 'superpowers' to fly. In reality it was just some strings he attached to his costume with DJ helping him out backstage. "Psychic abilities, not common among superheroes," Chris nodded in approval, the only psychic heroes the host being able to think of being Martian Manhunter. "Bonus points for originality and for putting on quite the show, 8 points!"
"May we cross paths again!" Lincoln saluted Chris as he was lowered back to the runaway, the loud boy unclipping the strings from himself before walking away.
"Tch, Lame-O," Ronnie Anne let out as she was the next one to go on the runway, the Hispanic girl cringing the entire time Lincoln was on stage. Ronnie Anne's costume was essentially a luchador outfit consisting of the colors of the Mexican flag. Wanting to just get this over with, Ronnie Anne walked to the end of the runaway. "My name is El puno de la furia! And my wrestling skills are unmatched!"
"Wrestling? That's your superpower?" But Chris wasn't super impressed by this as he gave Ronnie Anne a skeptical look. "Yeah, that's gonna be useful when you face a villain that can easily throw cars, 3 points."
"Tch, whatever…" Ronnie Anne angrily mumbles as she stormed off the stage.
At this time Chef managed to recover from Captain Alberta's 'superpower' and sat back up in time for him to see DJ's costume…and for him and Chris to deadpan at it. "DJ…dude…" Chris let out at the brick house as he got a look at DJ's costume. "What is this?"
"I'm Safety Man!" DJ proudly announced his superhero name while showing off his costume. He had a yellow safety vest on, a traffic cone on top of his head with the cone having a red safety light attached to the top of it, and strapped to his back was a fire extinguisher and a caution sign. "And I have the power to teach kids how to stay safe in various scenarios! Like crossing the street, or if there's a fire."
"Essential," Chris admitted with a shrug but still gave DJ a disappointed look. "But kinda lame,"
"There's nothing lame about safety!" DJ claimed while crossing his arms.
"Two points," Chris immediately announced as he wrote down the lowest score yet.
"…Aw…" DJ let out as he slumped down and walked away.
"Oi vey…" Chef face palmed and shook his head.
Next up was the aura reader herself, Dawn. Dawn's costume consisted of skin tight black leotard, purple stockings and elbow length gloves, black heel boots and a purple cape with gold highlights. "I am the Aura Whisper!" Dawn announced as she struck her own pose.
"Not bad, liking the costume," Chris nodded in approval at the name and the costume. "Gonna assume your usual powers are gonna be your superpowers. But anyway you can use that to fight crime?"
"Watch this," Dawn smirked before she began a series of bird calls.
Chris and Chef rose a brow at this, but soon watched as a bunch of different birds descended from the sky and swarmed Chef, the cook unable to stop the flock as they grabbed onto him and began flying him away. "AAAAHHH!!! AAAAAHHH!!! AAAHHHH!!!" Chef screamed as he was carried off by the birds.
"…Ok, that's-that's actually pretty cool," Chris let out in an impressed tone as he wrote down Dawn's score. "Nine points!"
"Yay!" Dawn let out as she clapped for herself before walking off the stage.
And that left only one contestant left as Lindsay walked out onto stage. "I'm Wonder Woman!" Lindsay announced as she strutted to the end of the runway. While everyone else was completely original in their superhero costume, Lindsay was flat out cosplaying as Wonder Woman. Though she put on a Canadian twist on it a bit as her tiara had the red Maple Leaf on it.
"Wait hold on," After seeing this both Ronnie Anne and Heather approached Lindsay with the blond quickly glaring at them as the former pointed out the obvious to Chris. "You said we had to be original with our superheroes."
"Yeah, she's totally cheating!" Heather stated as Lindsay gave her the stink eye. "She should be disqualified!"
"Now hold on, I'm digging the costume," But Chris didn't heed the two girls' statements as he looked over Lindsay, giving her a pass despite the lack of originality. "What's your superpower?"
"Duh, I wonder a lot! Oh, and I have an Invisible Jet right here." Lindsay stated as he gestured to her left, which had nothing there. Hey it was invisible after all. "Or…did I leave it over here?"
"You win! Ten points!" Much to Ronnie Anne and Heather's disbelief, Chris immediately made Lindsay the winner as the host gave the ditzy blond a perfect ten without shame. "I loved Wonder Woman as a kid! Still upset she never got an animated series…"
"But you said originality!" Heather claimed, repeating what Ronnie Anne just said. "Wonder Woman is already a superhero!"
"Oh, I'm sorry Heather, is this your show?" Chris asked rhetorically, making both the queen bee and Hispanic girl glare at him. "No! It's my show! Which means, I make the rules! And I deem Lindsay the winner, meaning she gets an advantage in the next challenge!"
"Yay!" Lindsay cheered as she began clapping.
"Ugh! This contest is rigged!" Ronnie Anne shouted in anger as she stormed off.
"Hey!" Lindsay gasped as she pointed at Ronnie Anne. "Ronnie Anne just stepped on my Invisible Jet!"
"Ronnie Anne, minus two points for stepping on Lindsay's jet!" Chris claimed as he turned Ronnie Anne's already low score of 3 into 1.
"Are you kidding me?!" Ronnie Anne snapped as her face began turning red from anger.
"Can I have a ride?" Harold stepped up and asked with a grin.
"Sure!" Lindsay nodded before extending the invitation to everyone else. "Who wants a ride on my invisible jet?"
"I do!" Everyone sans Heather and Ronnie Anne yelled out as they raised their hands.
"I love this game!" Chris said to the camera with a grin.
"Hehehe," Lincoln laughed happily as he used his phone to snap a picture of himself and everyone else in their superhero get up. "This is so cool!"
"Hehe, oh look at you smiling from ear to ear," Dawn couldn't help but giggle at how cute Lincoln looked when he was excited like this. "Are you having fun~?"
"Heck yes I am!" Lincoln answered her with his grin still wide on his face. "I don't care that I lost the first challenge, I'm enjoying myself way too much haha!"
"You're such a dork~" Dawn lightly teased as she booped Lincoln on the nose.
"And proud of it~" Lincoln claimed as he wrapped Dawn up in one of his arms.
CONFESSIONAL – Dawn
"I'm definitely keeping this costume for the future~" Dawn claimed as she proudly showed off her superhero outfit. "I'd think he'd like that~"
CONFESSIONAL – Ronnie Anne
"Ugh! I don't know how much more of these losers I can take!" Ronnie Anne shouted, briefly removing her luchador mask to pull her hair in frustration. But surprisingly she took a moment to calm herself down as she took some deep breaths. "It's fine…it's fine…you're almost there…"
With the first part of the challenge now over with, Chris was taking some time to prepare the second part of the challenge so the contestants were hanging around the city set waiting for the host to give the word. Lincoln and Harold were geeking out over superhero stuff with Dawn staying close to Lincoln. DJ, Izzy and Lindsay seemed to be having a nice conversation, and Ronnie Anne, Heather, and Geoff were all keeping to themselves. This left Bridgette with the prime opportunity to talk to Lily who she saw heading towards one of the fake buildings.
"Hey Lily," Bridgette spoke up, getting the youngest Loud's attention as she turned to Bridgette with a smile. "I was wondering if I could talk to you before you go off to help Chris with whatever,"
"Sure Bridgette," Lily nodded as she turned to Bridgette and gave the surfer girl a smile. "What's up?"
"Well, I've noticed something lately," Bridgette began as she gave Lily a small frown. "You seem to be giving Dawn the cold shoulder lately. What's up with that?"
"…" Lily fell silent at hearing this and glared down at the ground. "She asked you to talk to me didn't she?"
"No, she didn't actually," Bridgette revealed, surprising Lily a little bit. "I offered to talk to you for her. Now, do you wanna tell me what's up? Please?"
"Well…she was a huge meanie earlier!" Lily claimed as Bridgette calmly listened to the six year old. "During the sports challenge, she just beat up Ronnie Anne…"
"That must have been scary huh?" Bridgette told Lily sympathetically with the little Loud slowly nodding her head. "I understand sweetie, it was scary for me too,"
"She didn't even say sorry to Ronnie Anne…" Lily mumbled as she brought her hands together. "Why aren't you upset with her?"
"Well, I was at first. Still kind of am, but it's more complicated than that Lily." Bridgette began explaining as she tried to think of a way to help get what she wanted to say through to the six year old. "Tell me Lily, have you ever done something bad before?"
"Huh?" Lily blinked in confusion, wondering why Bridgette was asking her this. "Well…yeah I guess."
"Well, how would you feel if people constantly called you out for it?" Bridgette asked, making Lily tilt her head a bit. "Like have you ever taken someone's toy without permission?" At Bridgette's question Lily shyly nodded a bit. "Well how would it feel if everyone called you a thief?"
"Well…I wouldn't like it very much…" Lily admitted with a mumble. "But what are you trying to say Bridgette?"
"What I'm saying is that we all make mistakes and do things we regret." Bridgette properly explained things to the six year old. "What Dawn did was wrong, yes, and one should never resort to violence to settle conflict. But she does regret what she did and she feels sorry about it. She learned from her mistakes, just as I'm sure you've learned from yours too."
"I…I guess you're right…" Lily began shyly poking her fingers together as Bridgette's words resonated with her.
"And do you really wanna spend your time being mad at Dawn?" Bridgette asked softly as she put a gentle hand on top of Lily's head.
"…No…" Lily softly shook her head.
"Then just think about what I told you ok?" Bridgette told Lily with a caring look as she stood back up. "And talk to Dawn about it, talking about things always helps."
"Alright everyone! Time for the second and last part of the challenge!" Chris announced to everyone as he reentered the scene. "Lily! Get to your position!"
"Ok Chris!" Lily yelled out before looking up at Bridgette. "I'll…think about it Bridgette," Bridgette was satisfied with that answer and sent the six year old a nod as she went to group up again with the rest of the contestants.
Soon enough all the ten contestants were gathered together in front of Chris as the host with the most explained the second part of the Superhero challenge. "Now then, you all have your superpowers and secret identities, now it's time to get to the real meat and potatoes of being a superhero. Saving people and looking cool while doing it! So we set up this superhero theme obstacle course you'll be going through!"
Chris then gestured forward at the set going forward, pointing out the various parts of it to the contestants. "First you'll be racing down the road where you'll climb up the power lines at the end of it and walk across them to jump into the lake while Pythonicus chucks bowling balls at you," Chris began listing out with Chef poking his head out of the window of a fake building that was in front of the power cables with a bowling ball in his hand. And a few yards in front of the end of the power lines was an Olympic swimming pool. "Finally, you'll enter a burning building where you'll go up to the roof, and then zip line down and land on that target."
Luckily said building wasn't actually on fire, it just had some props around it to make it look like it was on fire. And at the top was a zipline that led to a big red target. "But like I said, you'll also have to focus on saving people! At every section of the obstacle course is a damsel you need to save," Chris explained as he stepped to the side revealing a sack of potatoes that had a dress on. "Said damsels being played by sacks of potatoes which, let's face it, will be a real catch for you!"
CONFESSIONAL – Heather
"Like Chris is one to talk," Heather scoffed with an amused smirk on her face. "Chris probably had dinner with that thing last night!"
"But the last damsel is a special one," Chris explained as he gestured to the zip lining part of the obstacle course. "While zip lining down to the target spot, the villainous sidekick Beaver Boy will be pushing local news reporter Lily Lane out of the building you zip line past!"
"Hey heroes!" Calling out from said building was Lily, with the 6-year-old putting on a wig of straight black hair to complete the look she had, with Edward standing behind her. "Hurry up and save me!"
"Woah! Woah! Woah!" Lincoln shouted as he looked at Chris like he was crazy. "You're gonna push my little sister out of a building?!"
"Relax snowball, we've taken safety precautions," Chris reassured the older brother. "She'll be wearing a bungee cord, a reinforced one, and the ground is littered with pillows and mattresses so if she does fall it'll be a soft landing."
"Don't worry Linky, I tested it out!" Lily shouted out to Lincoln with a grin. "It was fun! I didn't get hurt!"
"…You better not have…" Lincoln grumbled as Dawn patted him on the back for support.
"Save the first sack from being hit by a car, save the second one that's tied up and suspended in the air, save the third one that's drowning in the middle of the lake, save the fourth one that's under some burnt rubble, and finally try and catch Lily Lane while you zipline to the finish." Chris explained as he once again gestured to the obstacle course. "Saving a Damsel sack removes ten seconds off your final time, saving Lily Lane shaves 20 seconds from your time. Lowest time wins invincibility! And since Lindsay won the first part of the challenge, you get to automatically shave ten seconds from your final time!"
"So who goes first?" DJ asked.
"Highest scores go first, and if there are tied scores we'll go alphabetically." Chris explained before he began pointing at the various contestants. "So the order will be Lindsay, Dawn, Harold, Lincoln, Geoff, Heather, Bridgette, Izzy, Ronnie Anne, and ending on DJ,"
"Wait, why am I going last?" DJ rose a brow at Chris putting him at the end of the pack. "Didn't you subtract two points from Ronnie Anne's score?"
"True, but I really do think your superhero persona is really lame," Chris told DJ bluntly, making the brick house lower his head. "So I bumped you into last anyway,"
CONFESSIONAL – DJ
"What does he know…" DJ muttered sadly.
With the order set, nine of the contestants stood to the side while Lindsay took her place at the start of the obstacle course. "Ready! Set…" Chris counted off. "Excelsior!"
Lindsay quickly took off, racing down the road. This part of the obstacle course was rather straightforward as it was just a straight run towards the next part of the obstacle. But as Chris said there was a sack of potatoes wearing a dress in the middle of the road and coming at it was a golf cart. Acting quick, Lindsay charged forward and pushed the sack out of the way and put it safely on the sidewalk before heading towards the power line.
Grunting a bit, Lindsay climbed up the pole leading to the power lines and managed to pull herself up to the top. Unfortunately for her that was the easy part as she then had to balance on the power lines. And if that wasn't hard enough by itself, she had to dodge bowling balls thrown by a grinning Chef. Lindsay was able to get to the halfway point rather clumsily but soon reached where the next potato damsel was hanging. Lindsay tried to reach her hands out to grab it but couldn't quite reach, and when she tried to stand on her tiptoes to reach it she nearly lost her balance on the lines. But it was all for naught anyway as-
SLAM!!!
"AH!" Lindsay let out in pain as she was struck with a bowling ball and fell to the ground…and soon after the potato damsel fell from where it was hanging and landed on Lindsay with a loud thud.
"Ooooooo!" Everyone let out in response to what Lindsay went through, minus a grinning Heather and Ronnie Anne.
"Looks like it's mashed potatoes tonight eh Chef?" Chris chuckled in amusement.
"Ow…" Lindsay let out in pain as she pushed the potato sack off her and simply ran down under the powerlines towards the pool. Quickly diving in, Lindsay swam forward as fast as she could, passing by and grabbing the next potato damsel, dragging them across the water slower as a result. But she got it to the end where she dragged both herself and the sack out of the pool. Next up was the burning building and as soon as Lindsay entered it. "Oh wow…it's so hot in here…"
Lindsay immediately began sweating, as well as drying off, as soon as she entered the building. While it was made to look like it was on fire, the inside of the building was rigged up with a bunch of heaters to make it also feel like you were in a burning building! Eager to get out of the heat, Lindsay didn't think twice about racing up the stairs, panting heavily in the process, and making it to the roof.
Wiping the sweat off her forward, Lindsay quickly grabbed the T-Bar of the zip line and began descending down towards the target area. "Here I come!" Lily shouted as she saw Lindsay coming down and knowing this was her queue. "Cannon ball!" Lily then jumped out of the building she and Edward were in.
Narrowing her eyes forward, Lindsay held one of her arms out and managed to catch Lily as she passed by her, with Lily's bungee clipping off as she was pulled away. "Gotcha!" Lindsay grinned as she held Lily close to her. "No way am I letting someone as adorable as you fall!"
And with Lily secured in her arm, Lindsay reached the bottom of the zip line and landed on the target area to end her run of the obstacle course. "And that's time!" Chris called out as he hit the stop button of his stop watch to observe Lindsay's time. "3: 42 seconds. You let the 2nd damsel fall to her death and kind of left the one in the burning building for dead, but by saving the first one and the 3rd one as well as Lily and the advantage you won, you final time comes to 2:52, not t0o bad Wonder Woman,"
"Oops, it was so hot in the building I forgot to rescue the damsel there…" Lindsay sheepishly admitted before smiling and trying to encourage herself. "But still less than three minutes is pretty good!"
"We'll see how that stacks up to the others," Chris stated as he restarted his stop watch and called the next superhero to the start of the course. "Dawn you're up!"
"Good luck," Lincoln told his girlfriend, giving her a peck on the cheek and making the nature lover blush and giggle as she walked up to the starting line.
"And…go!" Chris called out as he started the timer again for Dawn.
Dawn didn't waste time and began racing down the road, pushing the first potato damsel out of the way of the golf cart as it raced towards it and placing the damsel safely on the sidewalk. Now it was Dawn's turn to face the power lines, but unlike Lindsay Dawn had no issue balancing on them and was able to go forward while avoiding the bowling ball Chef was chuckling at her. When it came to the damsel that was once again suspended above her, Dawn was able to leap upwards and free the sack from the ropes and continued forward with the sack in her arms.
Reaching the end, Dawn jumped down to the ground and set the sack down before continuing forward and diving into the pool, swimming forward as fast as she could. Like with Lindsay, grabbing the sack when she reached it slowed her down in the pool but the aura reader continued forward and made it to the end where she put the sack back on dry land before she continued forward.
When Dawn entered the burning building, like when the heatwave hit the lot, Dawn had no problem enduring the high temperatures and easily raced up to the upper levels of the building. Eventually she reached a floor that had a big pile of rubble in the middle and it didn't take a genius to figure out that, that was where the next damsel was. Working fast, Dawn began to toss the rubble away until she eventually pulled out the next potato damsel, this one covered in soot, and brought it with her to the roof where she put it down nice and safely.
Lily looked towards the building as she saw Dawn began descending on the zip line. She remembered her talk with Bridgette earlier with the surfer girl's words resonating with her. Silently, Lily jumped down from the building with her eyes clenched shut. But the feeling of falling was soon gone as she was caught in the arm of Dawn who then held her nice and close as she landed on the finishing target.
"And time!" Chris called out again as he hit the stop button on his timer before looking it over and letting out an impressed whistle. "Not bad at all Dawn! 2:59 seconds, and with all damsels saved that shaves a cool minute off your time! 1:59 seconds! That'll be hard to beat!"
"Thank you." Dawn nodded at the praise as she set Lily down and was about to head back to the group, but felt a hand tugging at her cape.
"Dawn…" Lily slowly began as she shyly looked at the ground. "Thanks for…catching me…"
"…Of course Lily," Dawn told her with a small but genuine smile, the aura reader feeling immense happiness that Lily was talking to her again.
"Enough with the mushy stuff!" Chris called out impatiently as he held up his timer. "This is going too slow for my liking so you know what this calls for? Superhero Montage!"
CAPTAIN ALBERTA
Where have all the good man gone
And where are all the Gods?
Where's the streetwise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?
Harold grinned as he successfully saved the first potato damsel from being hit by the golf cart. When he reached the power lines, the ginger geek grinned as he pulled out his burrito once more and took out a big bite. Climbing up the pole, Harold jumped on them before using his 'superpower' to unleash a fart that sent him flying across the power lines with him grabbing the potato damsel as he passed by it. "Gah!" Chef let out as Harold's 'winds' hit him in the face again. "Not again!"
With him using his 'superpower' effectively Harold managed to rescue all damsel and pulled ahead of Dawn with a time of 1:57 seconds.
ECLIPSE
Is there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and I turn
And I dream of what I need!
"Fear not fair citizen!" Lincoln zoomed down the zipline, the Loud boy keeping character all throughout the obstacle course as he also made sure to rescue all the damsels in each part. And next up was his own sister with Lincoln making extra sure to grab her before she could fall. "Eclipse will keep you safe from any harm!"
"My hero," Lily let out with a giggle.
And while not doing as fast as Harold, Lincoln did manage to grab second place with a time of 1:58.
BELCH MAN
I need a hero!
I'm holding out for a hero til' the end of the night!
He's gotta be strong, and he's gotta be fast!
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight!
"Oh man…it is hot in here!" Geoff panted as he raced up the incredibly hot building. Like with the other contestants, sans Lindsay, Geoff saw the pile of rubble that the potato damsel was stuck under. Acting quick, Geoff decided to utilize his superpower by downing a can of soda and unleashing a monster burp that blew the rubble away…along with the potatoes. With his eyes widening, Geoff looked out the window of the floor he was in to see the damsel he was supposed to save had fallen all the way to the ground. "Oops…"
With that little blunder costing him time, Geoff ended his run with a time to 2:33
QUEEN BEE
I'm holding out for a hero til' the morning light
He's gotta be sure, and it's gotta be soon!
And he's gotta be larger than life!
Larger than life
With Heather, she had a different strategy in mind for the obstacle course. She just decided to race right through it without wasting any time rescuing the damsels. She figured it'd be faster for her to race right through instead of wasting time trying to pick up every potato sack. So acting very unhero-like, which was in character for her, she ignored all the damsels as she booked it to the finish line of the course.
Even when Heather got to the zipline, she completely ignored Lily and didn't bother to try and catch her, luckily Lily's bungee cord bounced her right back up to the fake building she jumped from with the six year-old glaring at Heather from above. "Meanie!" Lily yelled out to her.
But Heather ignored it, but wasn't too happy with her final time of exactly three minutes, the lowest time so far.
TIDAL WOMAN
Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasy
Somewhere just beyond my reach
There's someone reaching after me
Bridgette was able to show off her acrobatic prowess incredibly well in this challenge as she got through the first parts of the obstacle course with ease, and easily cleared the pool part while making sure to grab every damsel she could along the way. But unfortunately the heat of the fire building proved to be her kryptonite as she was slowed down greatly by the heat, struggling to free the damsel trapped underneath the rubble.
Luckily the last part was easy as she managed to catch Lily while ziplining down, ending with a respectable time of 2:18.
THE HUMAN TORNADO
Racing on the thunder
And riding with the heat
It's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet!
Yeah!
Like with Harold, Izzy also decided to utilize her superpower as much as she could during her run of the obstacle course. She spun like a tornado at every opportunity possible…but unlike captain Alberta this did her more harm than good as it slowed it down a bit, especially as she made herself dizzy constantly.
Luckily she did manage to save every damsel to make up for her slow speed earning her a time of 2:55, at least doing better than Heather.
El puno de Furia
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero til' the end of the night
He's gotta be strong, and he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
Ronnie Anne decided to go through with Heather's strategy, just run through the course and not waste time rescuing damsels. However Ronnie Anne was noticeably slower then Heather, especially when it came to swimming across the pool. But when she reached the zipline and saw Lily jumping off the building the Latina found her instincts taking over as she reached out to catch Lily before she fell. "Thanks Ronnie!" Lily told her after they landed.
"No problem squirt," Ronnie Anne nodded at the six year old as she set her down.
Thanks to rescuing Lily, Ronnie Anne barely managed to get a better time than Heather at 2:59 seconds.
SAFETY MAN
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero till the morning light
He's gotta be sure, and it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger then life.
I need a hero!
"And you're up DJ!" Chris announced as DJ took his place at the start of the course. "The time to beat is one minute and 57 seconds, you can beat that and invincibility is all yours."
"Right," DJ let out as he narrowed his eyes forward and took a running stance.
CONFESSIONAL – DJ
"I know we got a super alliance going to take down Ronnie Anne and Heather, but the teams are still dissolved, which means during the challenge it's everyone for themselves," DJ said in a serious tone, hyping himself up for what's to come…all with a traffic cone still on his head. "I can't lean on my teammates to help me through the challenges, I gotta prove I can carry myself through them all on my own!"
"And…GO!" Chris started the timer for DJ.
DJ's eyes snapped open as he took off faster than he ever had before. Almost looking like a blur as he ran down the road and rescued the first damsel from being run over, setting it on the sidewalk before heading towards the power poles and not stopping for a single second. With a single jump, DJ reached the top of the poles and began balancing his way through the wires. When Pythonicus began chucking bowling balls at him, instead of dodging them DJ surprised everyone when he caught the balls chucked at him, tossing them aside before rescuing the next damsel and jumping down to the ground. All the while Chef gave him a proud grin.
And when DJ made it to the pool, he showed the same speed he had during the canoe challenge in the first season and rocketed his way across the water in no time at all, making sure to rescue the damsel there as well. And when he went into the burning building he didn't let the heat get to him. DJ immediately began climbing up the stairs and when arriving at the pile of rubble he easily scooped it all up in one go and threw it to the side and grabbed the damsel trapped underneath. Making it to the roof, DJ set the damsel down on the roof and began zipping downward with DJ easily catching Lily as she jumped down. "You saved me!" Lily grinned widely as she moved her head up to give DJ a kiss on the cheek.
"It was my pleasure ma'am!" DJ said professionally as he set Lily down on the ground nice and easily. "All in a day's work for…Safety Man!"
"Wow, 2:30, and with you rescuing all the damsels that makes it 1:30," Chris announced in a surprised tone as he looked over DJ's time. "I can't believe I'm saying this but, Safety Man wins!"
"I did it!" DJ cheered for himself as a giant smile appeared on the brick house's face. He won! He actually won a challenge all by himself! "I did it guys!"
"Safety Man! Safety Man! Safety Man!" All the members of the super alliance cheered for DJ, making him all flustered
And DJ soon felt a strong hand on his shoulder and looked to see Chef giving him a nod of approval. "Good work kid," Chef told DJ, making the brick house soar with confidence. "I'm proud of you,"
"The winner of the challenge, DJ! And the loser Heather!" Chris announced as he gestured to Queen Bee, who scoffed and rolled her eyes in response. "You had the worst time of everyone and you didn't bother to save a single person. Not even little Lily Lane,"
"Jerk face!" Lily yelled at Heather as she and Edward met back up with everyone, the six year old removing her wig.
"Oh whatever, I know I'm safe," Heather confidently stated as she looked at Ronnie Anne with a cocky smirk. "I know for a fact a majority of the people here are gunning it for someone else~"
Ronnie Anne flinched at this, and sure enough everyone from the super alliance was glaring at her and silently announcing who they were gonna vote for. "No, no, no, no…" Ronnie Anne silently repeated in worry. No…this couldn't be happening…after everything…she couldn't go out like this! She just couldn't!
"True…but time is important for a hero," Chris began saying as a devilish grin soon appeared on his face. "It could mean life or death for someone. Some would even say…Sudden Death~"
"Huh, what do you…" But Heather soon cut herself off as her eyes widened in horror…no…no it can't be…Chris couldn't possibly be talking about…that could he? "Wait…you don't mean…"
"Guess what's back everyone~? It's Sudden Death baby~!" Chris dropped the bombshell on everyone, making all the contestants' eyes widened as they gasped at the information. "That's right everyone! Hope you weren't getting too cozy with reward challenges because those are out and sudden death is in! Get last in a challenge, do something wrong, or just get unlucky, and it's curtains for you with no chance of saving your butt!"
"Haha…Hahahahahah!" Soon Ronnie Anne began to laugh loudly as a feeling of relief came over her. Looks like she wasn't going home after all! "Who's safe now~!"
"B-But…I placed third last season!" Heather stuttered out, unable to believe she was falling from the podium this hard!
"But not this season~" Chris gave her a condescending pat on the head before gesturing the queen bee to follow him. "Heather, you're done like dinner! If you'd follow me to the Lamosine please~?"
"Grrrrr…" Heather let out a vicious growl as she reluctantly did as she was told, with Ronnie Anne mockingly waving to her.
"As for the rest of you," Chris spoke to the remaining 9 contestants one last time before he saw Heather off. "Remember, it's all for one now. And unless you win, none of you are safe~ So prepare yourselves, the games are gonna be harder than ever now!"
And with that foreboding warning, everyone decided it was best to get some rest and prepare for whatever else Chris has in store for them in the future.
THAT NIGHT
With everyone having gotten the chance to wash up after the challenges today, all the contestants were content in taking the rest of the night to relax and enjoy themselves. All except for one, Dawn.
The nature lover needed to have a talk with Geoff and try and clear things up. The party dudes' aura was distorted, no doubt because of Ronnie Anne's manipulation. She had to try and get through to him before he did something bad, for both his and Bridgette's sake. Soon enough Dawn was able to find him as she saw Geoff stepping out of the crafts services tent with a glass of juice in his hand. "Geoff! Geoff!" Dawn called out to the party dude as she ran up to him. "I need to talk to you!"
"Tch," Geoff let out irritably as Lincoln's girlfriend approached him. "What do you want?"
"Geoff, you need to listen to me," Dawn pleaded with him, ignoring the venom he laced his words with. "Ronnie Anne is corrupting your mind, your aura is all out of sync with yourself."
"I'm pretty sure I'm just fine," Geoff scoffed at Dawn's words.
"Whatever she's telling you about Lincoln or me, it's not true!" Dawn continued to try and convince Geoff that Ronnie Anne was just manipulating him. "She's manipulating you with lies!"
"You told me yourself that the story of Lincoln taking out multiple girls was true!" Geoff stated as he pointed an accusing finger at Dawn.
"Yes that's true," Dawn admitted before hardened her look as she tried to properly explain that story. "But that was under circumstances that-"
"And it looks like you don't mind sharing him with Bridgette," Geoff growled out as he glared at Dawn.
"…Excuse me?" Dawn said slowly, unable to believe what she just heard.
"Don't try and fool me Dawn," Geoff stated as he took a step closer to Dawn, forcing her to flinch and back up a bit. "I know what you hippy types are all about. Sharing love or whatever, I've been to outdoor concerts before! And it's plain to see what's happening between Lincoln and Bridgette!"
"There is nothing going on between those two!" Dawn yelled at Geoff, beginning to glare at him herself as she grew angry at the party dude's accusations. "Bridgette sees Lincoln like the brother she never had!"
"All I see is that Lincoln's not such a good guy and Bridgette is in trouble." But it was clear that Geoff's mind was made up. There wasn't any reasoning with him. "And I'm gonna do whatever it takes to protect her from you two!"
"…I see you've chosen your side," Dawn fully glared at him as she tightened her fist. "Just be prepared to face the consequences of your actions."
"She'll be grateful when this is all over," Geoff stated before storming away from Dawn.
