The narrator said, "After coming upstairs, Amber stuck to her promise and stayed at home, but since she was determined to kill some monsters, she went on her computer and fought them in cyberspace." While Amber was playing online, her parents were devising a strategy to look for monsters the next day. They then heard Amber talking smack and figured she was playing monster hunting games again, because she loves monster hunting as much as they do.
Meanwhile, Megan, Joseph, Franco, Kayla, and Kendal were playing video games with Megan's boyfriend, Travis, a friend they've had since they were kids. They each played a role-playing game called "Hero Fights" on their computers at home. Megan played as "Monster Accepter", Joseph played as "Werewolf King", Franco played as "Monster Slayer", Kayla played as "Monster Detective", Kendal played as "Insect Princess", and Travis played as "King Chaos".
The game first selected Monster Detective and Werewolf King to fight. When they did, Monster Detective tried punching Werewolf King, but Werewolf King got down and caught her arm. Monster Detective then stomped on Werewolf King's tail, making him let her go. Then Monster Detective gave Werewolf King one last kick, and Werewolf King fell to the ground. The match then said, "KO. Monster Detective Wins". The game then chose King Chaos and the Insect Princess to fight next. King Chaos ran up to Insect Princess, but Insect Princess stung King Chaos with her stinger, and King Chaos shouted. Insect Princess then flew up in the air like a butterfly, landed on King Chaos' face, knocking him down. The game said, "KO. Insect Princess wins."
The game then chose Insect Princess and Monster Accepter as the next two to fight. Insect Princess flew up in the air like a butterfly, but Monster Accepter chose the net from her toolbar and caught her. Insect Princess then used her Butterfly Dagger from her toolbar to slice the net, but Monster Accepter used a powerup from her toolbar to change her net into a fly swatter, and she squashed Insect Princess with it. The game said, "KO. Monster Accepter wins." The game then chose Monster Detective and Monster Accepter as the next two to fight. Monster Accepter tried punching Monster Detective, so Monster Detective selected a sword from her toolbar and used it to destroy Monster Accepter. The game said, "KO. Monster Detective wins."
The last match was Monster Slayer vs. Monster Detective. Monster Detective used her sword to destroy Monster Slayer like she did to Monster Accepter, but Monster Slayer kicked it out of her hands. Then Monster Slayer threw wooden stakes at Monster Detective and pinned her clothes to a wall, but she escaped. Monster Detective then jumped from rock to rock while Monster Slayer tried hitting her with a pole. Monster Detective then used her sword to break Monster Slayer's pole. Monster Slayer then threw a net at Monster Detective and pinned her entirely by pinning the net to the ground with wooden stakes. Since Monster Detective was stuck in one place, Monster Slayer restored his pole with a powerup from his toolbar. Then he whacked Monster Detective with it and defeated her. The game said, "KO. Monster Slayer Wins. New Fighter Signing On. Monster Slayer vs. Expert Monster Huntress."
Expert Monster Huntress kicked Monster Slayer, so Monster Slayer tried tackling her, but Expert Monster Huntress caught Monster Slayer with both her feet and knocked him away. Expert Monster Huntress then threw a spear at Monster Slayer and beat him. The game said, "KO. Expert Monster Huntress Wins. Game Over." Franco banged his table and said, "Oh man, none of us won. Whoever that huntress is did."
Amber, who was an Expert Monster Huntress, then felt accomplished because she had beaten the one person who had beaten the other players. Since they lost Hero Fights, Franco and Joseph played a different video game called "Dueling World". They figured that as long as they worked together, they could win the game. They both had players that looked just like them, only wearing shiny armor and duel disks. They had to start at Level 1, and the portal to the next level was easy to find, but Obnoxious Cleitc Guardian was guarding the bridge it was across. When Franco saw Obnoxious Celtic Guardian's status, he said, "This will be easy."
Franco drew five cards from his deck and said, "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight, attack!" Joseph said, "Franco, wait." Gaia ran up to Obnoxious Celtic Guardian and tried to destroy him, but Obnoxious Celtic Guardian blocked his attack with his sword and threw him back toward Franco. Franco said, "How'd he survive my knight's attack?" Joseph said, "Don't you remember one of your past duels. I summoned Obnoxious Celtic Guardian, and you couldn't destroy him, because any monster with over 1900 points couldn't destroy him. And your monster has over 2000. Now watch this." Joseph drew five cards from his deck and said, "Four-Starred Ladybug of Doom. Attack!" The Obnoxious Celtic Guardian then destroyed Joseph's ladybug. Franco said, "What were you thinking?" Joseph said, "Watch." Franco looked at Obnoxious Celtic Guardian and saw that he had been covered in glowing green stars and then destroyed. Joseph said. "Four-Starred Ladybug of Doom automatically destroys all four-star monsters. Now let's go."
Joseph and Franco's players then ran across the bridge that the Obnoxious Celtic Guardian was guarding and ran through the portal to Level 2. Megan then came into Joseph's room and said, "Joseph, enough video games. It's time for dinner, and I need your help decorating the Christmas tree." Joseph said, "Ok." Joseph typed out and said, "Sorry, Franco, I have to go. We'll continue tomorrow." The narrator said, "Joseph then signed off and went downstairs to have dinner with Megan and help her decorate the house for Christmas."
Megan invited her boyfriend, Travis, over to her house for dinner so she could break some news to Joseph. When Travis arrived, Megan welcomed him in, while Joseph was watching some Christmas specials. Megan said, "Joseph." Joseph said, "Yes, Megan." Megan said, "I'm sure you know Travis." Joseph said, "Hmmm. Oh yeah. We've been friends for years." Megan said, "Well, he's my boyfriend now. We're also engaged." Megan showed Joseph the wedding ring Travis had given her, and he looked at it. Joseph said, "You're getting married?"
Megan said, "Yes, and then he'll be living with us." Joseph said, "Wow. It'll be a howl to have Travis as my brother-in-law and roommate. I thought we would only be friends and nothing more." Joseph's amulet then turned yellow and shiny, as he was excited and happy, and Travis noticed. Then Joseph left, and Travis asked Megan if she had seen that Joseph's necklace had changed color. Megan said, "Yes, but that's just what it does. It changes color based on his mood." The narrator said, "Megan wasn't quite ready to tell Travis the truth about Joseph and his necklace yet, but she thought she would after their wedding.
When their wedding day arrived, both families came to the wedding, back in Megan, Joseph, and Travis's hometown in North Dakota, where they had originally grown up. Once they arrived at their church, where the wedding was held, the organist played "Here Comes the Bride" on the organ, and Megan walked down the aisle, carrying a bouquet. When she made it to the altar, Megan and Travis looked at each other and smiled while their families smiled at them. The wedding officiant said, "Dearly beloved. We are gathered here to honor Megan Versie and Travis Carter in the holy bonds of matrimony. If anyone has any objections to why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace." The audience kept quiet because they all wanted this to happen.
The wedding officiant said, "Do you, Megan Versie, take Travis Carter to be your husband to honor and cherish forever?" Megan said, "I do." Travis then put a ring on Megan. The wedding officiant said, "And do you, Travis Carter, take Megan Versie to be your wife to honor and cherish forever?" Travis said, "I do." Megan then put a ring on Travis. The wedding officiant said, "Well then, by the power invested in me, I now announce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Megan and Travis then kissed and officially became married. The audience then clapped for them, and when they finished kissing, Megan threw the bride's bouquet, which one of the ladies in the audience caught. After the ceremony, the joined family enjoyed the wedding reception for the rest of the day. Kendal and Kayla even got to come, and everyone enjoyed what the reception had to offer. They even took pictures with the happy couple.
After their wedding, Megan told Travis the truth about everything so that they wouldn't have any secrets from each other. Travis promised not to tell anyone about Joseph being a werewolf, Angelica being a vampire, Franco being a vampire slayer and jewel thief, and his wife being the sister of a werewolf, which would make her a werewolf herself. The narrator said, "Since Travis moved in, Joseph had to move out and go back to live with his parents and little brothers in North Dakota." Joseph was worried his family would figure out his secret, so he kept his necklace hidden in his shirt.
