Synopsis
400 years ago, wars ravaged cities and radiation from their weapons gave rise to a devastating virus they named Ventx. This virus caused blood flow obstructions and severe pain. The first cures could only delay its effects... until one case changed history. A young man's blood reacted uniquely to the medicine, creating a power that was eventually named Blood Fusion. Today, the world seems normal: governments, jobs, urban life... but beneath that facade, there is a hidden market of assassins, thieves, and hitmen. Among them, there is one organization that no one cares about: the mercenaries. Of all its members, only ten hold the title of Top 10. No one knows their real names, only their positions, from #10, considered moderate, to #1, the most dangerous.

Chapter 1 - The Seventh Mercenary

A man was running through the dark streets, pursued by several people. They wanted him to hand over the object he was carrying.

"I'll never let you get your hands on it... you bastards," he gasped. "My people sacrificed too much for this."

On the roof of a building a few blocks away, there was a masked man with a cigarette in his mouth and a rifle on his back. He took the rifle off his back, picked it up, and got into position, aiming it.

From the scope, he sees only nearby buildings and uses his blood fusion ability, called the Cursed Eye of the Broken. We see how the veins in his eye turn dark and his pupils turn red, as if his blood were rushing to his eye. His senses are amplified and his vision now sees farther than the normal human eye can reach. He uses his rifle scope again and now sees more closely and sees the man running.

The man is still running and disappears down an alley, causing them to lose sight of him. He hides and, now more relaxed, rests for a few minutes... and nothing, no one comes.

"Looks like they lost sight of me," the man says with a sigh. "Okay, now I'm leaving."

He comes out of his hiding place and runs away, but crack, a bullet pierces his skull, leaving him dying. Then the people who were chasing him arrive, and one of them cuts off his head. Then they pick up the object, and we see a limousine arrive and an important man get out.

"It seems they have the item I requested, although I said I wanted the man alive, so I'll reduce your payment, but hey, this worm was just a fucking waste," said the important man, kicking the corpse.

"Well, I've already handed him over and sent you the payment. Three million is yours," he said calmly.

Then the man calls someone. "Hello, Mr. Seven. Well, you did a perfect job, but your lackeys couldn't help but disobey orders. However, you deserve the full payment. I've already transferred the 10 million to your agency account, Mr. Seven," said the man.

We see that behind the call is the masked man on the roof, taking the cigarette out of his mouth.

"Well, it was an easy job to aim at someone's head. Killing is easy, but the contract doesn't work if the order isn't carried out properly. I'll deal with the recruit later," said the masked man in a calm voice.

"Well then, goodbye, Mr. Seven. I think I'll hire you again in the future," said the man, leaving in his limousine with the object in his hands.

Then we see Seven call his recruits, and all six of them arrive. Seven tells them to line up, and they all do so.

"I want you to point out the one who killed the target," he said in a sinister voice.

They all point to the boy, and Seven asks him to come forward and say his name. The boy steps forward and says his name.

"Hello, nice to meet you, sir. My name is Hikaru Jagan, and I've been doing this job for two years," he says, bowing.

Seven asks him if he knows what a mercenary is like, how they should behave, the respect, the orders, and the specific contracts.

The boy replies, "Well, mercenaries are just people who are hired for security missions, selective assassinations, rescues, convoy protection, stealing objects, etc.," said Hikaru.

Continue—emotions are not allowed because if you don't feel pity for the target, then that causes disputes among allies, unless you know the target and they have saved your life or helped you a lot in the past and you still haven't returned the favor. In that case, there is a justification for revealing yourself for a few moments in the organization—Hikaru continued.

"We all have respect in the order. There is no discrimination, otherwise there would be many disputes, conflicts, betrayals, and mistrust in the organization. But even so, the hierarchy and ranks are respected.

Contracts must be respected because there is no problem with them lowering our payment with a response, but that causes the organization's reputation to decline.

That's the problem, since we follow specific orders, and any problems that arise later with the target, if they want him alive and he escapes from the buyer, are the buyer's problem. The organization is not responsible; they only do what they are told," said Hikaru, as if he were in the military.

And Seven says, "Well, I was just asking because, to be honest, I'm not very interested in the organization and its rules. I was just telling you, but you'll be contacted by them and they'll tell you what they're going to do with you and your punishment. I'm not interested in what happens to them. It's not my responsibility," said Seven, leaving and lighting a cigarette.

We see that the organization contacts Hikaru and tells him to cut off his hand with a knife as punishment. Hikaru is nervous but, demonstrating his loyalty, he asks his partner to slice off his hand. His partner gives him the knife and he raises his arm. He places his hand on a stone for support, and his companion slices off his hand. We see all the pain Hikaru endures, demonstrating his loyalty to the organization.

Later, Seven arrives at the organization and is greeted by the receptionist, who tells him that Mr. Ranzo is waiting for him in the room. Seven arrives at the meeting room, where Mr. Ranzo is waiting for him. Mr. Ranzo tells him phrases with moral lessons.

And he tells him something else—you know, there's already a new buyer who needs your services, Mr. Crawl, or rather, Siphon Crawl—said Mr. Ranzo sarcastically.

And Seven said to him—don't use my name, you know there may be hidden cameras, besides, I'm not very interested, just tell me the price and the objective of the contract—said Seven boredly.

Mr. Ranzo tells you the conditions—the mission is assassination. You have to kill a pharmaceutical executive who will be at the opening party for the new city center, which is the quietest and only attended by rich people. That is your mission under contract. They want the man dead. His name is Julius Lakran, and the party will be at 1:00 p.m. Don't be late. Your position," said Mr. Ranzo, getting up from his seat and leaving the room.

Downtown party 1:00 p.m.

Many people are gathered and talking. Mr. Julius is talking to a real estate investor, and everything is calm.

On the roof, someone is aiming. Seven is in position with his rifle. Bang! The shot rings out, and through the rifle's scope, we see Mr. Julius dead and people screaming. Seven stands up, puts the rifle on his back, and lights a cigarette.

"I wonder why they don't just tell the others, ten, eight, five, etc. I don't know, this is a pain," Seven said resignedly.

In a building, some guards were in an elevator. They stopped on a floor and a girl entered. She was short and pretty. She entered, the elevator doors closed, and once inside, one of the guards felt ill.

"Hey, what's wrong? Are you feeling okay?" asked his partner, concerned. "Yes, I'm fine, don't worry."

But as he said that, he suddenly vomited a lot of blood and fainted. His worried colleague checked his pulse, but he wasn't dead. The guard began to feel dizzy, his vision spinning, but then his head exploded, killing him.

The elevator stopped and the door opened. The girl, covered in blood, got out and left the two corpses behind, laughing and humming. At that moment, she called.

"Eight, have you finished your mission?" asked the caller. "No, don't worry, I'm just getting started, but my prey are very beautiful when they die," she said in a sweet voice.

"Imitating Five won't work for you. He's much more sadistic than you and has very good reasons for doing what he does."

Eight asks them to refresh his memory, to see what the mission of the contract for this building was, since he doesn't see anything special.

"The mission was to steal an object and kill the guy who was guarding it. It is said that with his blood, he can create spikes as traps to kill his victims.

"I find this rather interesting," she said, smiling.

In a room in the basement, a man is standing there, and we see giant spikes and many dead people impaled on them. We see him walk away for a moment and set more traps, waiting for his next victim...
