Chapter 1 - Chapter 0 — Definition of the Power System and the Places

✨ Special Announcement for the World of Throliem ✨

📖 One to three chapters will be released every week!

🌟 We promise gripping content and words that will keep your love of reading alive.

⚡ Patreon supporters: chapters will be posted here before they appear anywhere else!

If you want chapters before everyone else, join us on Patreon now.

🔥 Upcoming events will surprise you… don't miss a thing!

And remember — the best way to support this novel is to share its magic across pages and platforms. 💫

💡 A quick, honest note from the author: I put quality before quantity. And although I'm — ahem — great at writing this novel, I've discovered I'm a disaster at editing. So you might find the first drafts a bit rough.

I promise every chapter will be revisited and professionally polished later on — yes, they'll get a proper edit in the future.

✨ Stay tuned — the best is yet to come! ✨

Chapter 0 — Definition of the Power System and the Places

The world is made of the Tower, kingdoms, and empires.

The Kingdom of Anfrida is a civilian-level realm inside the Verena Empire, which is composed of 702 kingdoms.

Anfrida contains the royal family (the House of Anfrida) and five powerful noble houses — branches of noble lines from the Kingdom of Draffon: the Valdrin, Ismara, Drakovin, Teralon, and Nimarís families — as well as many other civilian-level noble families. There are no ordinary mercenary bands here. Anfrida is relatively small compared with other kingdoms (its population is about one hundred million). The kingdom hosts many academies, but the Anfrida Academy is regarded as the finest of them all.

1. The Heart of Orne

When a person reaches the age of twenty, the Tower grants them something called a Heart of Orne. Each heart bears affinity to a single natural element.

Function: store refined mana in the form of mana circles after the mana has been polished.

Requirement: age ≥ 20 (Tower rule).

Primary mana types currently taught at Anfrida Academy: Fire 🔥 — Water 💧 — Air 🌬 — Earth ⛰ — Lightning ⚡.

(Other elements — such as Light, Darkness, Gravity, Sand, Ice — are available in Draffon and other kingdoms.)

Structure

Orne Core: determines how many mana circles exist and how complete they are.

Mana Circles: storage slots that fill and empty; they are not static.

A Heart of Orne has nine levels — nine mana circles.

Mana capacity increases with each circle. Example: Circle I = 10 points, Circle II = 20 points → total of first two circles = 30 points.

Advancement: by devouring False Hearts of Orne → the core is strengthened and circles gain greater completion.

After consumption: the devourer experiences temporary weakness and greater difficulty controlling mana.

False Heart of Orne: a heart used to strengthen a real heart; unlike a true heart, a false one cannot hold mana on its own — its sole function is to augment the true heart when ingested.

---

2. The Eira

Definition: a tool/weapon created by the Tower, activated by the polished mana stored in a Heart of Orne.

Rankings: F → E → D → C → B → A → S → SS → SSS (SSS is the rarest; an SSS-rank Eira: only one exists in the world).

Levels: 1 to 9 (determine an Eira's power relative to its user and the number of mana circles the user possesses).

Types:

Original (Authentic): infinite usages.

Nira (Cloned Eira): limited number of uses, then it breaks.

Usage & Limits:

An Eira works only for its owner (bound to their heart).

It does not function for others unless its owner is dead.

Cap: each Heart of Orne can bind to a limited number of Eiras (depends on the user's ability and the heart's level).

---

3. Mana Control

Importance: the higher one's level of mana control, the easier it is to manipulate mana internally and externally.

Strong external control shortens an Eira's activation time.

Good control helps to devour hearts faster and more safely.

Reaching a high level of control can unlock higher ranks such as "Skill Master."

---

4. Polishing and Raw Mana

Mana exists naturally and is harvested from mana stones.

Polishing: purification of raw mana into polished mana that can be stored in a Heart of Orne and used to activate Eiras.

The natural body stores mana, but a Heart of Orne increases capacity and allows Eiras to be activated far more efficiently.

---

5. Quick Notes on Mana

Every three mana circles represent a qualitative leap in power (a change of state: gas → liquid → solid).

False Hearts of Orne are consumed to feed and accelerate the completion of circles, at the cost of temporary weakness and harder control.

Mana — Lecture Summary

1. What mana is

Everything in the world carries its own mana (useful or not).

Main elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, Air, Light, Darkness, Gravity…

Any given element usually contains mostly its own mana, mixed with small amounts of other elements (even opposing elements). Example: sand contains sand-mana plus other components. Even paper has its own mana blended with other elements.

2. Pure Mana

Pure mana = 100% of a single element. Rare in nature; sentient beings can purify their mana. Purity offers a clear advantage in combat.

3. Mana Stones

Quantity levels (1 → 9):

Level 1: 1 mana points.

Level 2: 3 points.

Level 3: 6 points.

(Scales continue up to level 9 with larger amounts.)

Purity levels:

Low purity: main element 50%–70%.

Good: 71%–90%.

Excellent: 91%–99%.

Legendary: extremely rare, 100% of one element.

> Note: a stone can have high quantity and low purity, or vice versa.

4. Mana Control (its measure)

Measured by the proportion of mana an individual can extract and control easily, for a set mana quantity (a specific point amount).

Stages:

Stage I (Pre-basic): cannot release that amount of mana outside the body.

Stage II (Basic): can release mana outside the body.

Stage III (Post-basic): can manipulate all of that mana externally and control it over varying distances according to control level.

The effective ratio changes with the quantity of mana used.

---

Quick definition: an Eira is a device/tool that converts mana into a usable skill. When the required amount of mana is fed into it, the skill activates automatically.

Eira components:

Core: converts mana into the element.

Other parts: shaping and motion sections (each with a name and function).

How a skill is activated: mana is fed into the Eira → the Eira transforms the mana into the element, the skill forms and is released. An Eira requires a fixed mana amount to activate its skill.

Factors that increase a skill's rigidity/effectiveness (practical order):

1. Mana purity: Higher purity reduces environmental interference. (E.g., a 100% pure fire orb might not evaporate in water; low-purity fire might.) Purity is achieved by purchasing pure stones or purifying mana inside a Heart of Orne.

2. Mana control level: determines how much you can extract, how fast, and how precisely you control it. Superior control = greater ability to intervene in an Eira's internal processes.

3. Knowledge of Eira construction: understanding parts and functions allows you to influence shaping and motion.

4. Knowledge of the skill's structure: understanding the skill (e.g., a ring of fire, weak points, range) lets you improve or exploit it.

5. Knowledge of enemy skills: knowing an opponent's skill properties enables counterplay or evasion.

6. Elemental type and environment: ambient element concentration can overwhelm your skill even if your mana purity is high.

Warning: Eira elements ≠ natural elements. What an Eira produces is formed mana, not the original natural element.

Eiras are difficult to modify or replicate — attempts at full alteration have largely failed. The Tower's shop sells parts (cores, shaping components…), but wholesale changes to an Eira are practically impossible.

If you'd like, I can now:

polish this further into a novel-ready Arabic or English version in the style you prefer (Transcreation),

format it for a book (headings, index, glossary), or

expand any subsection (for example: show worked examples of how circles add up, list sample Eiras by rank).
