"Ouchhh it's so hot " Pearl scream as she brought down the pot of soup form the stove..
"Mom please come out the food is ready " said as she carried the meal to dinner room gently.
"this smell so good "
Her mom came out from the room .
"You woke up so early to prepare all this " asked seeing two bowls of soup and other side dishes.
Pearl, while filling the two bowls with soup for both of them said " Yesss mom and trust me so delicious '
"Hmm I see"
Pearl brought the chair underneath the table for her to sir
"Thank you"
They both sat down and dig in
"Am really a great cook..I probably would make a lot of money cooking as a maid since I don't have the money to open a restaurant "
Pearl said jokingly with her mouthful that no one would hear what she was saying.
she notice her mom was toying with her food she was lost in thoughts.
"Uhmm mom why haven't touch your food ..what happened " Pearl asked.
"No... ooo thing dear" she stammered
Pearl isn't so dumb she knows her mom was hiding something.
"Okay eat your food would get cold "
After few seconds she asked "what did you say about my father ??"
"Your father?" Mira said surprisingly.
"You keep on asking" give me my child" give me my child " in your sleep "
Mira(her mother) choked immediately .
"Sorry" she gave her water to drink she drank the full cup of water.
She held her hand
"Am here ..No one is going to take me away from you or take you either, am your only daughter "
Still Pearl feel something is not right she has heard her mother talking in her sleep
"I know dear" her mother touch her cheek
"You know mom would be turning 18 soon in few months now "
"Yes baby " she nodded as she fed her from her plate .
"And I will gift you the best gift you never had "
"My Dad?..Will your present for me turn out to be my real Dad?" Pearl said stressing out each word from her mouth
Mira got choked again there was no water left for her to drink she rush to kitchen to drink water after drinking the water she stood there not knowing how to face her daughter those words Pearl said echo in ear like thunder.
Pearl was done eating she carried the left over to the kitchen Mira turn to see Pearl at her back she was about saying a word.
"Don't worry I will take care of the dishes you can leave for work " she collected the dishes from her .
" Nahh am off still 4pm in evening " Pearl before she could finish her statement
"Really " she said lightly
"Are you feeling sick " Pearl asked
"Not at all why did you asked? "
" because you look weird since you got out from bed this morning ".
"Really maybe because of the increase of the house rent ..he double the house and threatened to sue us to court if we could not afford in two weeks time " Mira said looking worried.
"Why we haven't stayed for a Year "
But that not actually the main thing that bothering her she's actually missing her other daughter Pearl twin sister.
wondering if they are treating her nice or giving her hard time.
though they are highly rich she just want the best for daughter that does not mean she doesn't care for Pearl.
She knows Pearl so well but wasn't sure about her other daughter if they would ever meet again .
18years back then Mira was still a young elegant lady.
she lives with her uncle after her parents died she fell in love with a man who often come around where she works they dated about two years until she finds out he was having an affair with another lady.. and was already pregnant for him she left him for good out of jealousy she feels she was been used by someone who she deeply loves and promise herself never to tell him aboutthe pregnancy.

She tried giving the child to different young couples she would dropped the child at their door step and hid for anyone to come out to take the child..the first time she couldn't bare it she rush out from where she was and collect the child back ..
One faithful day she crossed her heart she went far to look for a rich family and dropped the baby at the door step waited for several minutes to see who will come out to take the child..
The door open a lady came out and saw a cute baby crying rapped with a baby shawl in a basket.
She looks around to see if anyone was around there but mira hide far away
"Honey come and see" she called
A young handsome man came out
"Look a little prine or princess " she wasn't sure about the gender of the child
He bent down and carry the child immediately the baby stopped crying she saw small note on the basket she took it to read
"What does it says " the man asked

She couldn't picture the face of the couple who took the child .
He handed over the child to her and collected the note to read .
She took the child inside he turn the back of note it was written.
"please take good care of her "
Now he knew the child's gender .
After a few month she went back there to check the couple only for her find out they had moved from there the house was sold out already.
BACK TO REALITY
"Who is there" Pearl asked hearing someone knocking at the door Mira who was lost in deep thought came back came back to herself .
"Mom are you expecting anyone "Pearl voice echo from the sitting room .
she opened the door in front of her a odd man holding a letter
"Are you little Miss Luna" he handed over the later to her...
"Yes I am " she nodded confusedly as he hand over the later to her on it was written " Mrs Luna" boldly
He turn and left ,Pearl closed the door quietly.
" baby who was that? ,what is that ?" Mira asked out of curiosity
" Uhm I don't know lemme check " she stressed out each words....
She tried to open the later her mother grabbed it from her rudely.
" why"
Mira open the letter and read what was written there...
She trembled a bit after reading the later..
"Mom what does it says.. "
"Mom??"
She fell into silence for several seconds and said
" pack your things we are leaving " mira said heading to the bedroom to get her stuff
"Mom what do you mean? How ?..why are we leaving "
"Darling just go in there and get your stuff" her mother insisted
"Why for no reason "
Pearl questions were already choking her
"He ask us to leave "
" you mean the landlord??" Pearl said with her eyes full of tears
" Yes he gives us 24hrs to leave the apartment ..that the new tenant would pack in "
" that so ridiculous of him ..that was the reason why he doubled the payment because he knows we can't afford it now he is sending us packing "
