Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

SIENNA

What did he mean by 'we're going out?'

"Uh, but it's already night," I pointed to the window behind me, without turning around.

"I know. I'm not blind." He replied in a way that made me feel like an idiot. What a jerk! I took a deep breath and pressed my lips together. "I just want to show you the pack. I'm being nice."

I gave him a fake smile without showing my teeth.

"What an honor. But I'm not interested, thanks," I said, making a move to close the door, but he held it and gave me a look, clearly skeptical.

"Sienna!"

"Alpha!" I replied and let out a breath. "I know we're not enemies, but we're not friends either. Besides, I'm a rogue, a stranger, and I don't think it would look good for us to be seen together. At night. People might get the wrong idea, you understand it, right?"

He wasn't dumb—or so I hoped—so he knew exactly what I meant. Having lived in a pack, I knew how things worked: female wolves got jealous of any woman walking around with the Alpha or someone high-ranking. Theron was the Alpha, a powerful one, let's not forget, and I was… a nobody. Him walking with me, especially at a time that usually implied something romantic, would only make sure I wasn't welcomed here. Even if I didn't plan to stay forever, I didn't want things to be hard during my time in that place.

He let out a breath, like he was dealing with something truly complicated and annoying.

"I get it, Sienna. I understand. But that's their problem, not ours. Now, how about you act like a good girl for once and come with me, huh?"

I stared at him for a moment and decided, okay, I'd go with him. He wasn't bad, just… unbearable sometimes.

"I'll get changed, alright?" He nodded, and I was about to close the door, but he was faster and stepped inside. I looked at him, confused.

"Didn't you say you were going to change?"

"I did…"

"So?"

He was pretending not to understand—he had to be! Or he just wanted to mess with me. Another possibility.

"I'd like some privacy, if you don't mind."

"Actually," he said, sitting down on the chair in front of the desk, "I do mind. I just want to make sure you're not going to slam the door in my face, lay down on the bed, fall asleep, and leave me standing out there. You can change in the bathroom. I'll wait. Or… feel free to change right here. I won't mind at all. I could even lend a helping hand."

He gave me a cynical smile. Was this serious? Really? My brain just couldn't process anything because I was stuck trying to understand how the Alpha was sitting in my room, staring at me, saying the things he just said.

"You do realize how inappropriate this is, right?" I asked, crossing my arms in front of my chest. I sat down on the bed. "I'm not changing while you're here. This is insane! I'm not your slave! You can't treat me like this!"

"You're difficult, Sienna…"

"Me? I'm difficult? I agreed to go out with you, and you're the one making it difficult! How can you think it's normal for me to change in front of a male? What? You want me to go to the middle of the packhouse and call in an audience too?"

He stood up immediately and grabbed my wrists, uncrossing my arms and pulling me up. He caught me completely off guard! I opened my mouth to protest, but his eyes were glowing with a rage I couldn't understand.

"Don't you dare show your body to this pack of wolves, you hear me, Sienna?" He practically growled, bringing his face closer to mine. The air suddenly felt heavy in my lungs, his scent swirling around me and invading my body through my nose. "If you're so desperate to show your body, I'm right here to see it. Me. Only me."

What was he even talking about? My mind was struggling to function. My eyes, the traitors, dropped to his lips. Why did they look so… kissable? My mouth went dry, and my whole body trembled.

I did like Adrian, and I was attracted to him back then, but this... this was another level. It felt like I was going to pass out if he didn't get closer.

"Theron…" I called his name, and that alone was enough for him to let out a growl—and the next thing I knew, he was on top of me, on the bed.

Theron's intense green eyes stared down at me, deep and unwavering. I saw flashes of blood-red, a clear sign that his wolf was there.

I wanted more. I needed more contact.

I called his name again.

THERON

I don't know what came over me! All I knew was that Sienna was right there, and I couldn't walk away. I wanted to be closer, and I ended up stepping out of line. Especially after she hinted that she didn't want people thinking we were together—in a more intimate way. Why didn't she want that? Was she ashamed of me? Did she dislike me that much?

Maybe it was my pride—I didn't know—but I had to know. I just stayed. I said exactly what I knew would rile her up, and she reacted, but not the way I expected. What did she mean by 'go show yourself in the middle of the packhouse'? No one was going to see her body but me!

On top of Sienna, I could feel her desire for me, and I was damn proud of it. She wanted me. When she lifted her neck, her eyes hazy with passion after saying my name, I leaned down.

["Mark her, Theron!"] Fenrir shouted.

Sienna's throbbing vein was calling to me, begging me to inject my venom into her. If I bit her, the way my body was demanding, she would be mine—completely, undeniably mine.

I stuck out my tongue, and as soon as the tip made contact with Sienna's warm, soft skin, my wolf went wild. But I wanted to taste her first, before anything else.

I licked Sienna's neck and heard her moan, lifting her hips while my hands held her down against the mattress. I held her in place with just one hand, letting the other explore her body.

I nibbled at the skin between her neck and shoulder, and Sienna cried out louder, whimpering.
