SIENNA
As soon as Theron got the call, I decided to take the opportunity to go to the restroom and give him some privacy.
Once inside, I went into a stall and took care of my business. While I was there, I heard the door open and close. But then, another sound: the latch. Someone had locked the restroom?
I sharpened my ears, but nothing. I bit my lips, cleaned myself, dried off, and adjusted my clothes. There was no sign that whoever had entered was using any of the stalls. My heart sped up, because even without thinking someone wanted to hurt me, the feeling that something bad was about to happen took over me.
I took a deep breath and opened the door. A girl I didn't know was standing there — light hair, dark eyes, staring at me. She was leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.
I swallowed hard, offered a smile, and went to wash my hands.
