When I saw Sienna's condition, my first impulse was to kill whoever hurt her. I saw red, and Fenrir was about to take over my body, but a weak moan brought me back to reality: she needed care. And judging by how much blood she had lost, urgently!
The fact that Sienna didn't have a wolf wasn't only a problem because she 'couldn't find her mate'. The real issue was that she lived among beasts and didn't have fast healing powers. That alone was terrifying. Almost as terrifying as the state she was in when we arrived at the hospital.
She had passed out and drifted in and out of consciousness on the way. I have no idea how my heart didn't stop altogether. I felt this unbearable pain as I kept glancing in the rearview mirror, watching her reflection getting paler and paler. My biggest fear was not even being able to get help in time.
