Pamela's POV
The dark sky was heavy above us, and the moon was hidden by clouds, as if the goddess wanted to watch all of the battle, as if she had been interested in the battle, while trying to still stay divine.
My heart was full of purpose, steady and strong. Tonight, Ray's reign as leader would end.
We moved quietly, and our army went into the formation as we had practiced for days. My brothers were with me, Amarok with his strong calmness, and Denise with his excited energy.
The weaker wolves, who couldn't stay in wolf form for long, held the weapons, the steel and iron, and their blades shone slightly in the dark.
They would attack first, moving in groups of ten to the north, south, east, and west. The stronger wolves, fully changed, stayed hidden, waiting for me to tell them to attack with all their power.
This was how we would do it. First, confuse them. Second, destroy them.
I breathed in deeply, and the night air felt sharp in my lungs. "Move," I said quietly.
