Chapter 1 - The Fall

In the profound expanse of Epouranios, three principal domains held paramount importance, each embodying distinct aspects of existence.

Earth, a realm brought into being for the habitation of humans, was shielded by the benevolent intervention of celestial beings known as Angels, who served under the almighty dominion of God.

Heaven, on the other hand, served as the abode of these celestial beings, providing a sanctuary for their eternal abode. In stark contrast.

Hell, a realm shrouded in torment and suffering, endured as a domain of punishment inflicted upon rebellious souls, its infamous Seven Lords harbouring a relentless desire for the subjugation of Earth.

After the fateful expulsion of Lucifer and his fellow dissident Sinners from the dominion of Heaven, an eerie tranquility had engulfed the realm of Heaven, undisturbed by any trace of sin.

However, the tranquility was shattered by the emergent hostility of an angelic entity named Leben Haineux.

A male angel, blessed with striking features, stands before them, his appearance possessing a sublime grace that echoes the radiant beauty of a celestial fair.

His golden locks, shimmering like the sun's brilliant rays, cascade down, framing a face that exudes an aura of purity and grace.

His eyes, a mirror of the tranquil depths of the vast seas, cast an air of profound wisdom and benevolence, but also has a disdain for humanity festered within him, fueled by his perception of their perceived weakness.

The fervent admiration that fellow angels harbored for mortals, despite Leben's derisive portrayal of them as mere "powerless apes", only served to intensify his grievances against the human race.

Motivated by his burning hatred, Leben Haineux sought to ignite a movement of rebellion against God, with the ambitious goal of exterminating the entire human race.

He successfully rebelled against God, leading the revolution along with six more angels who despised the human beings as much as him, and sought to destroy humanity once and for all.

However, in his fervor, he grossly underestimated the divine foresight of God, who had already taken swift action by dispatching the formidable Archangel Michael to suppress the mayhem spawned by Leben.

Leben, who almost anticipated that his plan would be 'successful' and 'perfect'. He never thought it would crumble quickly due to God's holiness.

'This can't be... This can't be the end of me!'

As the imminent failure of his machinations became apparent, Leben endeavored to escape.

Yet, his efforts proved in vain, for the mighty Archangel Michael had already set his sights on him, then he spoke in a cold and aloof tone,

"Leben Haineux, by the order of God, I hereby authorize you as a Heaven's Reject. Along with six other angels who accompanied your malicious and deadly plans to eradicate God's most loved creation, the humans."

After he announced that, he strategically positioned himself in front of the sun, leveraging the radiant beams to obscure Leben's vision while simultaneously imbuing his flowing golden locks with a divine aura, as if he were the Sun's own valiant defender.

"W-Wait a minu--"

SHINE

His protest was cut by Michael's presence that exuded an ominous aura, radiating with the brilliance of the sun.

With a swift and calculated motion, the Archangel wielded his sword like a spear forged at the celestial furnace of the sun's heat, aiming it with deadly precision at Leben.

SLASH

Though Leben evaded the onslaught, he could not entirely avoid the brunt of the attack, as his arms were grazed by the searing edge of the sword, leaving stinging lacerations in their wake.

"Ugh---"

With a pained cry, Leben acknowledged the searing sting of the sword's blow, only to find himself caught off guard by the Archangel's next move.

FWOOSH

The sword once again sliced through the air, this time targeting the tender flesh of his wings. The impact was enough to send Leben plummeting toward the mountainous terrain of Heaven and into the golden clouds, resembling the vastness of an ocean.

In that moment, as he plummeted through the shimmering golden clouds, which only embraced the worthy and devout, Leben caught a fleeting glimpse of the celestial realm of Heaven, its ethereal presence fading away. As he cast his gaze towards the ground below, he discerned the curvature of a vast sphere beneath his descent - the earthly domain, teeming with life known as Earth.

Leben's eyes widened in horror as he grasped the reality of his circumstances - he had been cast down upon the very realm he despised most, Earth.

"No, this can't be... THIS CAN'T BE!"

He protested, a heady mix of disgust and anger infusing his voice.

Suddenly, a profound, yet tender voice echoed in his ears, its depth resonating with a palpable sense of compassion and embracing comfort. The words washed over him, as if an unseen force sought to guide him, stating,

"My child, let the mortals of this world show you what life truly means."

The sudden absence of the voice left Leben puzzled, wondering if his hearing had deceived him.

'What was that just now? Was it all in my head?'

The thought echoed in his mind, causing a moment of confusion and doubt.

Before Leben could fully comprehend the events unfolding around him, he found himself mercilessly tugged by the gravitational pull of Earth, hurtling him towards the planet's surface.

As he sliced through the thermosphere, the intense heat of the atmosphere took its toll, causing him to lose consciousness amidst the scorching temperatures.

As he journeyed further, he fell through the mesosphere, his body succumbing to the scorching friction and the rarefied, thin air, exacerbating the burning sensations that plagued him.

His descent finally concluded with a powerful impact upon the Earth's surface, in a once-thriving farm teeming with crops that were slated for a bountiful harvest.

However, the devastating force of his landing shattered the tranquility of the scene, causing the ground to erupt in an explosion of debris and sending earth and crops flying in all directions.

The months of toil and care the farmers had poured into their fields were mercilessly destroyed, leaving only a trail of destruction in the wake of Leben's dramatic arrival.

The farmers hurried towards the explosion site, eyes widening in shock as they discovered Leben, battered and bruised.

However, their concerns seemed misplaced, as they fixated more on the destruction he had wrought rather than his injured state.

"Hey! Look at what you just did, you damned bastard!"

The farmer angrily protested, the weight of their hard work's devastation heavy upon his shoulders.

The barrage of outraged protests continued, as more farmers joined the fray, hurling harsh accusations and even crops at Leben.

"You destructive madman!"

"You deranged fool!"

"You cursed harbinger of ruin!"

Their voices echoed in unison, their anger palpable.

Leben clenched his teeth, his disgust and anger palpable, as he retorted with disdain, he shouted at them with pure anger in his tone,

"You feeble apes! I will destroy you!"

In response, a farmer shot back, "How dare you call us apes and threaten to kill us when you've ruthlessly destroyed our crops, you repugnant scum! We won't stand for this; we're alerting the E.D.M. on you, you fiend!"

Leben clenched both his hands and teeth in anger, he stood up and lunged at them.

THUD!

But before he could he reach and lunged at the farmer, he fell flat on the ground unconscious due to the fall he experienced a while ago.
