BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Profile: Mash Kyrielight, alias Shielder is a character shrouded in mystery like his Senpai and the rest of the members of the Black Cabal.
The first traces of Mash appear a couple of years ago in Kazimierz, when she signed up for a fighting tournament.
In a short time, Mash has become a living legend, a warrior who fights battle after battle, tournament after tournament, a champion who has never lost a fight, using only her shield.
Mash Kyrielight, a woman with the body of a professional model, the smile of an angel, a sexy armor and her huge cross-shaped shield, has allowed him to gain fame and a huge number of fans in an instant.
Many people have tried to recruit her into their Knights Club or sponsor her, but she has refused every offer. Remaining at the side of her mysterious Manager, Saver.
Eventually, she managed to win the 23rd Major season finale, then left Kazimierz to join a then-unknown group, the Black Cabal, which began a crusade against organized crime, providing relief during disasters and helping the infected as best they could.
Through his rescue operations and fight against injustice, Mash and Rhodes Island's paths have crossed several times.
The Followers (Shining, Nightingale, Nearl) convinced Mash and the rest of the team to collaborate more actively with Rhodes Island.

[At the same time, I feel disappointed and excited. I had hoped that Mash would be a unique case like Saver, but her physiology is banal in comparison.
But testing with my new equipment did allow me to discover some juicy facts about Mash.
In her brain this girl has a couple of chips implanted, the purpose of which is unknown to me, but Mash assures that they are not a danger to her health.
I noticed that Mash has a kind of second nervous system similar to circuits, this exotic nervous system is also present in Saver, but this one is simpler and less complex.

Another peculiarity that I discovered while examining Mash's DNA, besides many unknown genes and an incredibly complex genetic structure, are traces of genetic engineering.

Just like with any other member of the Black Cabal, we have not gotten any real information about Mash Kyrielight's past.
For the entire world to see, Mash Kyrielight appeared out of nowhere inside Kazimierz.
Overlooking that quintessential Black Cabal oddity, the Operator Shielder, she has proven herself to be an extremely capable Operator both on and off the battlefield.
Mash Kyrielight has high combat capabilities against single targets, large groups of enemies, and large monsters.
While Shielder favors close-quarters combat with her shield, she has proven herself to be highly skilled with firearms and cyber warfare several times, being able to hack into enemy forces' computers and communications systems.
When Mash isn't conducting field missions, she prefers to put her other talents to use helping Rhodes Island's many departments.
Medical Department wants Mash to work full time with them, Mash has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of medicine and numerous scientific fields. Mash acts like a fish in water, when she is inside the laboratories of Rhodes Island, as if she was born and raised in a research facility.
Engineering Department, considers her an honorary member, even though Mash does not show any particular talent in engineering, she is very good at maintaining vehicles and machinery, especially when it comes to fixing and updating computer systems.
The Logistics Department and the Human Resources Department also want a piece of the Mash, although not to the same extent as the Medical Department.

Mash is a beautiful woman, very kind, sociable, extremely capable in combat and extremely intelligent. If she wanted, she could pursue a career in medicine or in a scientific or engineering field.

Unlike her Senpai, Mash settled into Rhodes Island very easily, starting to make friends within the first few days.
Mash for unknown reasons has particularly connected with Eyjafjalla and Amiya, becoming great friends.
After a few weeks, the Human Resources Department included Mash in the Top Ten Operators I would like as a friend or girlfriend.
Mash Kyrielight, aka Shielder has become immensely popular and welcome on Rhodes Island.
On a lesser note, the number of Rhodes Island staff requiring treatment for burns and hypothermia has tripled.

Mash Kyrielight possesses immense strength and stamina, combined with her massive shield, Lord Camelot, making her one of the best Defender Operators on Rhodes Island.
During a particularly critical Operation, Mash demonstrated the full power of her Defensive Arts, creating a castle-like barrier that repelled a dangerous threat.
Once the Operation was completed and Mash returned to Rhodes Island, we began testing to see the limits of Mash's Defensive Art: Lord Camelot - Now is a Castle of Distant Ideals.
The first test was done with a high pressure water jet, then we increased the difficulty level, going through heavy artillery and more. But Lord Camelot was not damaged.
The final test involved a combined attack by seven Operator Casters (Iris, Ceobe, Ifrit, Eyjafjalla, Amiya, Rosmontis and Mostima).
The result was that Mash and her Defensive Art were left unscathed by the might of some of Rhodes Island's finest Operator Casters.
It's official, Mash Kyrielight, aka Shielder, is the Operator with the best defense on the entire Rhodes Island.
[Tests have shown that Mash, much like the rest of the Black Cabal, does not utilize Oripathy to perform his Arts. Further testing to determine Lord Camelot's breaking point will be prohibited until further notice.

Mash's sociable and friendly nature, combined with the trust we have earned in him, have allowed us to gain some tangible, if not in-depth, information about the "Magic" or "Magecraft" of the Black Cabal.

Not wishing to provoke a critical rupture in the relationship between Mash and Rhodes Island, we declined to ask further questions.
We currently know that the second nervous system-like circuits present in Mash and the rest of the Black Cabal members are called Magical Circuits.
Magic Circuits are a super-rare mutation that appears in a small number of humans, the number and quality of Magic Circuits varies from individual to individual.
People born with Magic Circuits can produce Magical Energy, using self-hypnosis and carefully chosen words, they can shape the energy to form a specific type of spell.
The underlying process is quite similar to the way Operator Casters use their Arts, albeit using Magic Circuits instead of Originium.
Studying the differences and similarities between "Magecraft" and Originium Arts would be an extremely interesting study project.
Unfortunately, Black Cabal Members are unwilling to work or provide further details on their Exotic Arts.

I won't lie, I'm curious about their magic too, but we should respect their privacy. When they're ready, they'll tell us about their past.

For the first 18 years of my life I lived within the walls of Chaldea, raised by Doctor Romani Archaman and Servant Caster Leonardo da Vinci.
My dream was to see the sky with my own eyes, my Senpai helped me complete this dream.
Then, I dreamed of seeing the whole world, my Senpai for the second time, help me fulfill my dream.
When Chaldea was destroyed, my heart was broken, I lost my home, I lost my surrogate parents. But, I still had my Senpai and the rest of my friends.
I learned that home is not a place, but the people who live there.
Now, my home is wherever my best friend, my dear Senpai, goes.
We began traveling to the most wonderful and horrible places in the universe, creating a mountain of happy memories.
He helps me achieve my dreams and supports me in my moments of doubt, now it's my turn to support him as a Servant Shielder.
Our final journey took us to Kazimierz and finally to Rhodes Island.

Talk 3: The Doctor, if we have a free moment we can play a short game of chess or read a detective story. I love adventure, but sometimes I need a break.
Talk after Promotion 1: Doctor, I think I'm sick. Every time I see my Senpai surrounded by other female Operators, my heart hurts. When I saw the Sui sisters (Nian, Dusk, Ling, Shu) sticking to Senpai, I almost started a fight. Doctor, what's happening to me? Maybe I've been infected by Oripathy? Doctor, why are you laughing!?
Talk after Promotion 2: Doctor, this is my Ortenaus MK-9 Armor. At first, I used it when my abilities were weakened after a rather complicated situation. But now it has become one of my best pieces of equipment, I use it when things are about to get serious or dangerous. My Armor, Ortenaus, has quite a few tricks and surprises.
