BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Profile: Rider, alias Astolfo first appeared publicly alongside Caster in southern Higashi.
At first, because of the red hair, people thought they might be related in some way, despite Rider's lack of any distinguishing racial traits.
But this theory has been denied by everyone, especially by Caster who does not want to be considered a relative of Astolfo for personal reasons.
Although, most people in Higashi had focused on Tamamo-no-Mae because of her beauty and skill in the Originium Arts, Astolfo managed to get his share of fame.
Even though they travel together, Castle and Rider often split up to further their goals, Caster doing his research on Higashi's culture, folklore, and Originium Arts, while Rider did whatever they felt like at the time.
Traveling throughout Higashi with his Hippogriff, Rider has helped countless people with his unique and impulsive methods, gaining quite a fan base among both women and men.
But he angered a huge number of people from high society and the underworld by accidentally intervening in his affairs.
Several times, Astolfo ended up meddling in the missions of other Rhodes Island Operators, eventually helping but causing a headache or two for the Operation Leader.
All Operators who met Rider during his time in Higashi were left speechless as they saw him walking the corridors of Rhodes Island alongside the Black Cabal, especially around Saver, the mysterious, taciturn and anti-social leader of the group.
How a person like Astolfo who is practically the opposite of Saver joined the Black Cabal is a mystery to all of us.
Clinical Analysis:

Imaging tests reveal clear, normal outlines of internal organs, and no abnormal shadows have been detected. Originium granules have not been detected in the circulatory system and there is no sign of infection. At this time, this operator is believed to be uninfected.

If we didn't already know that Black Cabal Operators who bear the Servant designation are some kind of super-soldiers, we would have believed that Astolfo is an above-average Vanguard Operator with a unique Summon.
But the entire Rhodes Island Medical Department has long since realized that we will never get real data on the Servants without using unusual means. Let's hope that Gavial can win the challenge against Rider, so we can do a thorough medical check on him.
[Some of the Black Cabal challenges are weird. The challenge against Rider was: dress up as a Cowgirl and ride an experimental battle drone. I lost, but gaining a second concussion made Rider feel sick enough to set foot in the Medical Ward. So that's a win for us.

But this situation allowed me to photograph Gavial dressed as a Cowgirl and be her personal Nurse for a few days. So, I have no grudge against Astolfo.
Same goes for the rest of the Witches and Servants, thanks to their victories they get to see my dear female friend Gavial in all sorts of outfits. She is the cutest thing on Rhodes Island.

[As a Zalak herbalist and psychologist-in-training, I am not the greatest expert on Rhodes Island psychiatry. But somehow I ended up having sessions with Astolfo.
I think I've discovered a new type of mental disorder, which Astolfo has dubbed: Evaporation of Reason.
Astolfo ... visits Astolfo every day except on moonless days, then he appears to be "sane" and shows many doubts about his person and position.
He calls himself a Third Category Servant. I think I'll need a long time to figure out how this disorder of Astolfo works.

From what we have observed and learned over time, the Black Cabal is a rather unique group, which is divided into two categories of members: Witches and Servants.
Saver does not belong to any of these categories, being a category in its own right, the Master.
The Witches are characterized by Magic Circuits of which we know little. The Servants have their artifacts that they never part with.
Archer's unique case aside, Rider is shown to possess the largest number of Artifacts among the so-called Servants and to be the one who has the least problem using them in front of anyone.
Astolfo may be considered the most sociable and the weakest of the Black Cabal, but with four artifacts at his disposal, most Operators on Rhodes Island don't see the difference.
Rider's first artifact is Trap of Argalia, a shining, ornate golden spear the cavalry has different artifacts than the other Servants that are more destructive or possess more unique abilities.
Astolfo's spear has only one simple, but useful trick: it knocks down anyone who touches its golden tip.
Besides the spear, Astolfo's main weapon is a nameless sword that is not an artifact, but is still far superior to a normal sword.
Speaking less about the equipment and more about the owner, Rider, aka Astolfo, has proven himself to be a skilled fighter, lacking the explosive power of his fellow Servants, but possessing impeccable sword technique, great versatility, an unpredictable nature, and a friendly, extremely sociable personality.
All in all, Rider is a great Vanguard Operator, but a difficult teammate and subordinate to manage.
Astolfo is a person full of energy, he never shuts up, he is not discreet and does not reflect on his actions.
To give his best, Astolfo needs a steady hand or a scenario where he can make the most of his characteristics.
[As one of the instructors on Rhodes Island I can say that Rider is a well trained fighter above the norm, if he knew when to shut up and focus, he would be one of the Elite.
His title of weakest seems ridiculous and inappropriate for Astolfo. Trying to compare himself to monsters like Saber, Lancer or Berserker is pure madness.

[I trained in the room and collaborated with Astolfo in various Operations, I can say that he is a good boy and an excellent Operator despite his oddities, but which Operator does not have these two oddities.
I am not an expert on Kazimierz or Knights Clubs, but I have learned a few things from my fellow Operators from Kazimierz.
I'm pretty sure that if Astolfo had gone to Kazimierz instead of Higashi, he could have easily entered the Professional Circuits in Knight fights.
After all, Astolfo has the skills and looks to be the star of a knights' club.

Astolfo, in addition to his skills, artifacts and winged mount, has made himself known throughout Rhodes Island for his hobbies and habits.

Speaking of music, the Black Moon is Astolfo's second artifact, and according to some Operators it is the most destructive of all four.
This artifact appears to be a simple hunting horn, Astolfo claims to have received it as a gift from a good witch as a reward for helping her chase away a large flock of Harpies.
This hunting horn is small in size that can be hung on the belt on Astolfo's side, but when activated its size and complexity increases to surround Astolfo's entire body.
This musical instrument
It emits a sound that can be described as: "similar in nature to the roar of a dragon, the cry of a giant bird, and the neighing of a divine horse."
This artifact creates a blast of sound, causing chaos, confusion, and temporary hearing loss. Essentially, Black Luna is a weapon of mass destruction.
[I am not sure if the Black Luna is an instrument created in Leithanien, the home of the instrument-based Originium Arts. But I cannot rule out the possibility, I do not know of another place where someone could create such a powerful and unique musical instrument.

[I'm no expert like Ebenholz, but perhaps Black Luna is one of Witch King's project numbers or one of his followers? I'm sure Black Luna can be used to do much more than cause sonic explosions.
He would need a skilled musician who knows the right Originium Arts. If Astolfo can't give his Artifact to anyone, could we try to teach them something?

There is a debate among Astolfo's friends and colleagues as to which of his artifacts is the most powerful.
The more physical and direct Operators consider Black Luna to be the most powerful.
Operators more inclined towards Originium Arts believe that Casseur de Logistille is Astolfo's real strong point.
Casseur de Logistille looks like a thick, magically bound leather book.
Astolfo states that he received this old book from a witch, many Operator Casters want to know who is the witch who gives away such Artifacts as if they were candy.
Thanks to this book, Rider is protected against Originium Arts, making him the natural enemy against Operator Casters and those who rely primarily on Originium Arts.
Members of the Black Cabal have jokingly stated that the Casseur de Logistille makes Astolfo the "Magus Killer", a joke that goes unnoticed by Rhodes Island personnel.
The true power of this book Anti Originium Arts is demonstrated only when Astolfo's "mental illness" does not show its symptoms, that is, on moonless nights.
At that moment, Rider can use the Casseur de Logistille to its fullest, creating a barrier or extended effect to neutralize Originium Arts.
The Logistics Department has been working hard to find the right time and missions to allow Rhodes Island Operators to benefit from Astolfo's abilities. Easier said than done.
But Astolfo's assistance is always welcome, especially when Operators on missions need reinforcements.
[This book is written in a language I don't know, it seems like an ancient dialect of Victoria. I can vaguely understand its contents, but does it explain in detail various defensive methods against Originium Arts or Magecraft?
The science of this book is mixed with the superstitions and folklore of the previous owner, but it has a charm all its own, not to mention its intrinsic properties.
Just by holding the book, I can feel how an invisible barrier appears around me that should protect me against all but the strongest or most unique forms of Originium Arts. All this when Casseur de Logistille is in passive mode.
I would love to be able to translate the contents of this book and study it. It might reveal new methods of applying the Originium Arts.

[I understand why Logos was interested in Casseur de Logistille, the Black Cabal is incredibly reticent to share their unique version of Originium Arts. But this old book gives a little glimpse into their Unique Art. A few paragraphs talk about defensive properties on fire and barriers to protect oneself from one's own flames. A useful topic for me.

[I don't know much about literature, much less occult literature, but my Master is a real expert, he has collected and read ancient books of which a single copy exists.
For example, my Master read in one way or another: Astil Manuscript,
Ilias Fragment, Book of the Damned, Nadia's Codex, Black Grimoire della Loughlin Family, svariti volumi di Index Librorum Prohibitorum, 777 and Other Qabalistic Writings of Aleister Crowley and Darkhold.
I don't understand much of these books, but I like watching my Master read. If I'm lucky he'll read more normal novels or Comics/Manga, then he'll let me stay glued to his side and read along with him.

[I am a very complicated person, with good and bad sides. Basically half of my being can be defined as a seeker of knowledge, be it science, Magecraft or Originium Arts.
I have a very large library collection, not books, but entire libraries full of books, part of this collection was obtained through my own efforts, the majority inherited from my ancestors through the kinship of my maternal and paternal grandparents.
I can swear on my Magic Crest that I will never let an outsider read a single page of my most precious books.
Not even members of my Cabal or blood relatives are allowed to see my entire collection.
If a Rhodes Island Operator wants to get his hands on my manuscripts he should at the very least marry me, sign a magically binding contract, and provide me with a talented heir.
Only then would you see the priceless books from my personal collection of forbidden and dangerous books.
But I am willing to negotiate lending copies of less rare books in exchange for equally valuable items or examining people with unique characteristics like Mostima or Amiya.

And I am worried about what will happen if there is ever a broken heart in their ranks and who is responsible for that broken heart.

Astolfo's fourth and final artifact,
Hippogriff. Although most Rhodes Island personnel classify it as more of an invocation than an artifact.
Astolfo says that his summon, Hippogriff, boasts great speed and its demolition attack while charging is equal to an A-rank physical attack, whatever that means.
At first, we thought that Hippogriff was only characterized by his flying speed and physical strength, but during a high-risk Operation we discovered Hippogriff's true special ability.
Astolfo's mount can somehow perform short bursts of dimensional shifting continuously and only for an instant.
This trait allows both the mount and its rider to be unobservable and immune to damage for a very short period of time, passing through every single attack.
However, using this ability quickly drains Astolfo's energy, using it only when absolutely necessary.
[Ko~ko~da~yo, I don't know why I was called to talk about Rider's mount?
Maybe because my friends are friends with Astolfo or because I've ridden Astolfo's Hippogriff a couple of times?
I can only say that the Hippogriff is faster than most of our means of transport. If Rider and Saver are riding the Hippogriff together, it reaches crazy speeds, as if it were a missile or a comet.

[I am an old soldier not an expert in Originium Arts or a doctor specializing in Liberi (Hippogryphs). I can say that Rider's summoning is not connected to his supposed Hippogryphs lineage. I have never heard of a Hippogryphs summoning a Hippogriff.

Walking the fine line between not disturbing and studying the Black Cabal, I can't help but wonder about their origins. Seeing the subtle similarities between the Servants and me, between Saver and the Doctor, I wonder if we might have common roots.

The Black Cabal is one of many groups that have formed an alliance with Rhodes Island, allowing its members to occupy the position of Operator and participate in our Operations.
At first this group was rather antisocial, a product of their culture that prizes secrecy and the orders of Saver, their undisputed Master.
But as the months passed, the Black Cabal opened up in their own way, forming bonds with Rhodes Island personnel and Operators from other Allied Organizations.
Shielder (Mash Kyrielight) has formed a close, almost sisterly bond with Amiya and Eyjafjalla. But it's no surprise, in Saver's gang, Mash is the poster girl everyone loves.
Caster (Tamamo-no-Mae) with her jealous and possessive nature does not easily get along with any woman who comes close to her Goshujin-Sama (Saver). However, she has become maternally attached to Suzuran and Shamare.
The Department of Law and the Penance Operator, a female former judge of Sicura, were visited several times by Tamamo-no-Mae. The Volpe Priestess asked questions about the law of Siracusa, especially about becoming a guardian or adopting a minor.
Lancer (Karna) is a stoic man of few words, but his title as Hero of Charity is well deserved. Despite being the opposite of a social butterfly, he has formed a sort of teacher-student relationship with the Operators: Skyfire, Reed, Ifrit, Lava.
Rider (Astolfo) managed to give half of Rhodes Island a headache and the other half a smile and laugh in the space of a week.
Rider along with Shielder, Ruler and Saber Rose are the most sociable and welcome of the Black Cabal.
Speaking of Astolfo, he has become friends with Sora, forming a musical band with her and Vigna. Astolfo's friendship with Sora has led to her meeting the rest of Penguin Logistics.
For better or worse, Astolfo and Exusiai met, the feminine boy and the masculine girl, they became friends right away. Their friendship caused a headache for all of Rhodes Island, especially Saver and Texas.
The Logistics Department is seriously considering adjusting the schedule so that Rider and Exusiai do not end up on Rhodes Island at the same time.
The friendship between Rider and Exusiai, the shared headaches between Saver and Texas, were the foundation of a budding personal and professional friendship between the Black Cabal and Penguin Logistics.
Penguin Logistics Operators (Croissant, Sora, Mostima, Exusiai, Texas) began to cooperate quite well with the Black Cabal during the Rhodes Island Operations.
Outside of Operations, the Black Cabal has used the services of Penguin Logistics to obtain or receive special packages.
A portion of them began to visit Lungmen semi-regularly to the joy of Exusiai and the disgrace of Ch'en.
Someone inside Rhodes Island has paid Lee's Detective Agency located in Lungmen to monitor Black Cabal activity in Lungmen, worried that they may sour relations between Rhodes Island and the Lungmen authorities.
Lee's Detective Agency discovered three things:
One, Exusiai has been infected by Astolfo's passion for Crossdresser.
Two, Rider and Exusiai, when they were Crossdressers, went on a double date with Saver and Texas to some very nice places in Lungmen.
Three, when a sweet Saver and Texas moment on their date gets ruined, well, you're going to need a pair of crutches and a wheelchair.
[The Black Cabal is useful to have if you want to fight a war or do something in the lab. But having them around when they're bored or have nothing to do is bad for HR and our budget. I'm glad they leave Rhodes Island every now and then to torment someone else.

[As the Senior Superintendent of Lungmen Guard Department I have no problem if Rider brings his Boyfriend to Lungmen to play tourist/lovebird.
But when they go on Penguin Logistics assignments, they become a huge problem. Property damage multiplies by 4.5. If Saver didn't have deep pockets, he would have been banned from Lungmen for life.

Mostima and Lappland, those two girls, have become particularly jealous of how Exusiai and Texas have become closer lately.

Once he gets to know the person and sees that he doesn't want to hurt them, he will treat him like any other person in the world.
Whoever started the rumor that my Master is a racist will have to stop smearing his name or, as his champion, I will be forced to challenge the culprit to a duel.

DIALOGUE
Appointed as Assistant: You cast me as your Assistant? Well, I'm off to get my secretary outfit, the Master told me I do a better job when I'm dressed for the role. Hey, Doctor, would you prefer me to dress like a woman or a man?
Talk 1: Before I met the Master, I was an adventurer who flew all over the world, even reaching the Moon in the end. Through my travels, I received many souvenirs such as my spear, my hunting horn and my grimoire. My Master also travels often in search of a good adventure and new treasures for his collection. Here we two are made to be together.
Talk 2: If someone were to ask me who my best friend from Rhodes Island is, I would say: Exusiai. She and I, we hit it off in an instant.
The Master doesn't want to admit but he also likes them about Exusiai, she reminds him of his first best friend, Luz Noceda. The same goes for Texas, she reminds him of his younger sister Miyu.
