Who was Nick?
Nobody important. Just an ordinary, tightly wound kid who learned early how to keep his head down, make excuses, and let bad choices happen to him instead of owning them.
Eclipse was different.
Eclipse was everything Nick refused to look at—every cowardly thought, every ugly impulse—given shape. Not a hero. Not even a proper villain. Just the worst parts of him, finally allowed to act.
Together, they made one unheroic cape.
