Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

The war between the Werewolves and the Demons, supported by the Witches, had been raging the land.

The once-peaceful land was now scarred by the clashes of swords, the chants of spells, and the stench of magic and black magic.

The atmosphere was tense, the air thick with pressure, and the ground painted red with the blood of the fallen. It was nothing short of terrifying.

"The Alpha king has been killed!" a voice shouted, echoing through the battlefield.

Cheers erupted among the Witches and Demons, while the Werewolves' empire crumbled.

The news of the Alpha king's demise sent shockwaves through the ranks, and soon, everyone dispersed.

Queen Adriana, the Luna queen, who had just given birth to a baby girl, heard the news of her mate's death.

She was devastated.

With her newborn baby in her arms, she ran into the dark forest, filled with fog, desperate to escape the chaos.

As she ran, she heard footsteps behind her.

She stopped abruptly and turned slowly, her heart racing with fear.

A man in a black cloak, a demon, stood before her, his eyes gleaming with malice.

"W-who are you?" Queen Adriana stuttered, holding her baby tightly across her chest.

The demon sneered, showing his yellowish-green teeth. "I am your helper, here to take away all your sorrow."

Queen Adriana summoned courage and asked, "What do you want?"

The demon's grin grew wider. "To kill all the royal blood of Alexander."

Queen Adriana's eyes blazed with determination. "I will not let you hurt my child, demon!" she screamed, holding her baby tightly.

The demon laughed, his eyes glinting with evil. "We'll see," he said, moving closer to Queen Adriana.

Before she could react, the demon pricked her abdomen with his dagger. Queen Adriana yelped in pain, staggering backward as the demon laughed hysterically.

Just as all hope seemed lost, Hera, a witch and Adriana's childhood friend, appeared out of nowhere. She had been watching the whole scene unfold.

"Adriana!" Hera screamed, running towards her.

The demon turned to Hera, his eyes gleaming with malice. "Oh, Hera," he chuckled.

Queen Adriana weakly told Hera, "He must not harm my child."

Hera quickly took a seal and began to chant a spell. She pointed the seal at the demon. "You die today!" Hera shouted.

The demon laughed cynically. "That can't have an effect on me."

But Hera was not one to back down. With a fierce determination, she shouted, "Mesh mar la ba suropato!"

The demon tried to attack her, but Hera was ready. She pointed the seal at him once more, and a blinding light filled the air. The demon screamed, turning into ashes.

Hera helped Queen Adriana sit down, resting her back against a tree. She collected the baby and cradled her in her arms.

"Adriana..." Hera cried, tears streaming down her face.

Queen Adriana's voice was barely audible. "Hera... why... why Hera?"

Hera explained, amidst tears, "I'm so sorry I couldn't do anything. The whole clan was manipulated by those demons. I tried to stop the coven, but all my efforts yielded nothing."

Queen Adriana's eyes locked onto Hera's. "Hera, promise me that you will keep my child safe."

Hera promised, her voice shaking with emotion. "She'll be safe. You need to live, Adriana. You have to build back the Wolf Empire."

Queen Adriana's hand tightened around Hera's. "My daughter will build the wolf empire, so she must survive."

With her last ounce of strength, Queen Adriana touched her daughter's forehead and muttered some words. A light flickered, and the baby's gold hair and eyes turned black. Queen Adriana had sealed her daughter's wolf power and scent.

"Adriana..." Hera whispered, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Queen Adriana handed Hera a gold locket. "Take this. Give it to her on her sixteenth birthday. You know what this means."

Hera nodded, understanding the significance of the locket.

Queen Adriana's eyes began to close. "Take care of Annabelle. She must survive."

With those final words, Queen Adriana's eyelids closed, and her body went limp. Hera cradled her friend's lifeless body, tears streaming down her face.

"Adriana!" Hera screamed, her voice echoing through the forest. "Please, Adriana..."
