Chapter 1 - 1 Out of Bounds

[You died]

"So that's what it was. All was a fucking game. My life, my everything, a fucking game."

I've been staring at this for days it feels like. I finally look towards the other one.

[New game?]

[Yes] [no]

I click yes, no longer wanting to sit in this empty blank void. As I do the message in front of me disappears and gets replaced by a new one.

[Please choose a name]

After thinking for a moment I choose the name gabriel. I need to remind myself to stay good and the name of an archangel will do just that.

[Name selected]

[Rondomizing world...]

[Backrooms has been chosen]

... Fuck! Really the backrooms. This will be difficult, probably impossible.

[Would you like to randomize your race? Options range from an ant to cosmic entity's]

Should I risk it? I think to my myself.

I have never been the luckiest but maybe that means I'm due for some good luck.

As I say this I select yes. Hoping I don't get screwed over.

[You have rolled a mythic]

[Blessed human: you were born with the blessing of an angel on the order of @#$% himself]

[You have a 50% increase in experience with light and holy magic.]

[You gain, 7 vit, 7 int, and 7 str per level]

[You also gain 7 Stat points per level instead of 5.]

[As you are technically still a human you still have free will consider yourself lucky...]

"Wait humans are the only race to have free will? What does that mean system?"

[Awnsering query]

[Free will: humans from the blessing of @#$% are unbound by fate prophecy and other forms of godly manipulation. Only mortal beings can control a human but only if they are unaided in any way by godly beings.]

"Holy shit I'm glad im still a human. I think I just used every ounce of luck I had with that one. I didnt even know this was a blessing i just thought god meant he wasnt going to force us into anything."

Well I guess I was right in a way. I think to myself.

[Would you like to roll a perk and a curse?]

[Yes] [no]

I click yes and a wheel pops up. It spins for a bit landing on.

[Perk: hopeful aura]

[You radiate the power of hope. Giving others a boost of moral and never able to lose it yourself]

[Curse: withdrawals]

[Staying near you is like a drug so when others leave your presence they will find it hard to stay happy]

That is not what I expected. It can be good and bad we'll see how I feel about it later.

[Do you want to roll again?]

[Yes] [no]

I click no, not wanting to test my luck too much.

[Character creation done...]

[Transporting]

It was like I blinked and suddenly I was in a office space. With nothing but yellow walls, carpet, and ceiling tile in view.

'Okay, so I assume I'm starting with nothing.'

I check the clothes I have on. which are the ones I died in. A dark blue hoodie with jogging pants. With nothing in any of my pockets. I sigh and look around again. Hearing and seeing no movements I look at my status.

[Wis: 10]

[Cha: 10]

[Luck: 10]

[Points: 7]

'Seems like a paladin build would be best given my race. I can work with that.' I think to myself as i click on title to get more information.

[Titles: titles are gained by achievements. Titles will have Cleary stated effects. Please note that the title gamer does nothing.]

Nodding to myself I click class.

[Class is locked until level 15]

'Really that's it' I sigh to myself and think perks.

[Perks]

[Gamers mind]

[Immune to all mental attacks and debuffs]

[Gamers body]

[The body of a gamer has no limit. Sleep completely heals all ailments and debuffs. No attack physically affects you, only your hp]

[Lightborn]

[As a blessed human you have a 50% increase in experience gain with all holy and light magic]

[Hopeful aura]

[You radiate hope. You and people around you are filled with happiness and hope. Unfortunately like a drug leaving your presence will have withdrawls]

Now let's see skills.

[Skills]

[Note: hah noob]

'Did the system just insult me? I think it did' I shrug decide to move around. I hear nothing but the hum of florescent lights and my own footsteps

'I have a sassy system' I think as I move into a hallway-ish area. Like a maze there is no end to the turns I could take.

'Okay let's practice then.' I step to a nearby wall and swing. I keep punching the wall until I hear a notification.

[You gained basic unarmed mastery]

[Unarmed mastery] lv 1

[You use your fists like a complete beginner]

'Good' I then continued to swing. Occasionally loosing health but that doesn't stop me.

Getting an Idea I push mana into my fist and swing.

[-20 hp]

[You have gained the skill mana empowerment]

[Mana empowerment] lv 1

[Push a maximum of 100 mana in a weapon for a extra 50 damage]

only for the part of the wall I hit to explode. I watch in fascination as the wall repairs itself. I look at my hand and see no damage at all. 'Gamers body doesn't let damage show on my body only my health bar.'

I'm gonna need to be more durable

[Mana empowerment has leveled up x1]

[Mana empowerment] lv 2

[Push a maximum of 110 mana in a weapon for a extra 70 damage]

'Nice, now to grind this skill as i walk.' I think as I pick a direction and walk hitting walls every now and then on the way.

*time skip 1 day*

I think its been a day now. I haven't found anything but the same yellow walls.

[Mana empowerment] lv 10

[Push a maximum of 190 mana in a weapon for a extra 190 damage]

This skill hasn't leveled as much as unarmed mastery.

[Unarmed mastery] lv 14

[You know the very basics and have improved them a bit]

I also got some Stat points.

[Cha: 10]

[Luck: 10]

[Points: 7]

I gained points in Strength from my constant punching of walls. Dexterity was from the constant running and walking around I've been doing. Vitality was from just using my body so much and the damage from mana empowerment.

'I also gained a new skill'

[Toughness] lv 6

[Your skin is tougher from constant damage]

[Reduce incoming damage 3%]

It gains .5 per level. I'm also guessing it combines with my Vitality stat because I barely take any damage from mana empowerment.

I keep walking although I don't feel exhausted if anything I actually feel pretty happy. Must be because of gamers mind and body with hopeful aura of course.

*time skip 1 day*

-in Australian accent-

'Alright guys it looks like i found something new. Let's go check it out.' I walk into room with light brown wall paper a desk in the middle with some papers on it.

'Crikey it seems to be a desk What a wonderful thing.' -normal thinking- 'I don't know why I was speaking like Steve irwen in my head. Well actually I do I was bored but it's starting to get old.'

I head to the table a pick up the papers

Property of M.E.G

If you are reading this you have no clipped into the backrooms, what you have no doubt experienced so far is level zero. I can guess that you wish to leave this hell but to be honest. Level zero is the safest level. The only anomalies being the non linear space and isolation. With the only dangers being starvation, dehydration, and insanity. Now while this may sound bad it's a better fate than most. So please use the technique "no-clip" at your own risk. We at M.E.G take no responsibility for what you do with this knowledge.

-no clip-

No clipping requirs and object like this convenient table and a wall or floor. Make the object move in a wobbling motion. Then quickly jump. This is dependent on luck and skill. But since you do not have skill it will be luck. If you're not lucky the "no-clip" will fail and will feel like an idiot, but If you wish to go to level one continue to try untill untill you succeed.

-level 1-

Level one is a class 1 level

It is a infinitly expanding warehouse with safe to drink puddles everywhere. It's easy to get lost it has stairs, elevators, and hallways. With supplies that randomly appear and dissappear. Approach the crates with caution as what inside is always random from to bombs to crayons.

-warning-

In level 1, stay in the light creatures do reside inthe dark.

-note-

Once in level 1 try to reach the hub there is civilization there. The hub is a long tunnel one you would drive a car in on earth.

After reading the paper I set it down. 'Am I ready for level 1?'

I take a glance at my skills and stats.
