Chapter 1 - [ PROLOGUE: HOGWARTS IN DETECTIVE COMICS ]

[ PROLOGUE: HOGWARTS IN DETECTIVE COMICS ]

[ "Professor Harp, how do you cast the Levitation Charm again?" ]

[ "Professor Harp, sir, what is clockwise and what is counter clockwise?" ]

[ "Professor Harp, what is a Bowtruckle?!" ]

[ "-rofessor, Professor!" ]

[ "Hmm?!" ] Felix felt someone tugging at the underside of his trenchcoat, which pulled him out of his stuppor. [ "Where am I?" ]

He asked himself that question as suddenly he remembered where he was. At his classroom, sleeping after class, with his sickness that is called tiredness catching up to him.

[ "Professor, are you alright?" ] He looked down besides him and noticed his worried student's face— at the little Slytherin Student of his, at Sojourner "Jo" Mullein's face. [ "You don't look so good, s-sir." ]

Al- Felix Harp noticed her student's worried gaze and smiled kindly in response, [ "Don't worry Ms. Mullein, your Professor is just tired." ]

As he then pulls an unwrapped Chocolate Frog sweets inside his desk. Then gives it to her. Her hand instinctively outstretched inturn. [ "Here, dear, you can have this." ]

[ "O-oh, thank you Professor." ] Jo answered back ecstatically as she observes the moving chocolate frog inside the weird-looking box handed to her.

She knows the basics of how this chocolate can move, she learnt it just days prior when her Professor— Felix Harp taught it to her, and her 43 other classmates in class. Each one of them received sweets each, that day because memorable to her.

And now, she is here, being given by her Professor another chocolate sweet that she actively collects.

She stared at it under her glasses, then placed it up above wherein the lights could reflect the moving frog inside.

In doing this she noticed her Professor's tired appearance ready to sleep again; she then finally remembers the reason why she went into his Professor's Office in the first place.

[ "A-ah Professor, I-it's dinner time, I-I though you ought to know." ] And that is, to remind her Professor about dinner time.

A sacred time for her, and for her classmates, especially when they could taste delicious one of a kind foods that varies as more the time goes.

[ "Is it?" ] Felix mumbles to himself, not believing her slightly, because he was quite sure he just had a nap. And it was just about 10 minutes long, not couple of hours long.

He looked down at his glass broken watch and noticed the time, [ 5:21PM ] instantly jumping up to his feet as he does, [ "Oh wait, it is! Let's go Ms. Mullein." ]

Careful in not to hit something and damage it, Felix then grabbed his Wand— a blank type of Wand that doesn't grant benefits to whoever wields it, it being enough for him as he cast a Cleaning Spell inside his messy and somewhat dusty classroom.

[ "But first." ]

He made extravagant gestures while holding his Wand, pointing it to each corner of the classroom as it then slowly cleans itself. Inanimate objects moving to life, as they clean the said room.

Jo who's seeing this couldn't help but widen her eyes, still in disbelief that her Professor could perform such grand feat of wizardry that her and her classmates are still trying to learn.

Even her who's one of the best in class couldn't move a single mop to clean her and her roommates room; but her Professor is different, he could do it in wide range, with many objects, with precision and practical ease... Something to admire.

[ "Don't worry Ms. Mullein, I'll be teaching this in the next Charms Class. Hope you'll be ready." ] Perhaps sensesing her admiration, or just his instincts as a Professor activating; he reassured the younger witch as he then finishes casting the Cleaning Spell, all the cleaning equipment going out from the closet to work.

Turning around, Felix motioned for the younger of the magician to go out the room— the 13-year-old girl getting out of her stuppor as she does so, still amazed with what she had just seen.

Following suit and about to close the doors of the classroom, both Jo and Felix could hear someone seemingly cursing from inside the room; catching the former to be shocked, but the latter to not be at all.

[ "P-professor what is that?" ] Jo's mind instantly went and thought of Ghosts, she and her classmates have been theorizing that they and Demons could plausibly exist. Especially when Magic exist, and they could wield it with ease.

So she became uncomfortable, not wanting to meet a Ghost akin to that of Sadako from that one movie she and her parents have seen. But to Felix who knows what it was, it was nothing to him, [ "It's nothing, don't mind about it Ms. Mullein." ]

Closing the door shut, Felix went and whistled to himself, walking the corridors of Hogwarts that doesn't contain a single bit of decoration on each sides; [ "Come on, it'll be rude making dinner wait." ]

[ "B-but, G-ghost, that could be a Ghost in there, P-professor." ] Pointing to the closed classroom, Jo still couldn't ease her vigilance, as she worries that the classroom she spents about 5 hours in every day could plausibly be hunted. It'll be bad.

Seeing this worried side of her, Felix who doesn't want to ruin the surprise for next class, and also not wanting to make her lose sleep, comforted her.

[ "It'll be the topic of our next class, don't worry." ] As he pulls an unwrapped Magical Sweets inside his pockets; giving it to her.

To the Student who was caught off guard by being handed a life-like Cockroach-looking monster. But her knowing what it was, didn't instinctively threw it away, and instead admired it. [ "Cockroach Clusters, Professor?" ]

[ "Hmm, hmm." ] He merely nodded before then continuing his walk, his stomach growling as he wants to eat something. Something other than sweets, he'll get diabetes through that, and he needs to cut down in sweets anyways.

Jo on the other hand looked one last time at the closed classroom, then swallowing a huge lump on her throat before then trusting her Professor/Headmaster's words. Moving on, catching up to the older Magician.

[ "P-professor I have a question..." ]

Before then asking her questions that have been plaguing her for days now, finally finding the right time to ask her questions. Questions that would seem weird, unanswerable or even outright mind boggling. For example:

[ "Is there a spell that could make someone fly without the use of Brooms?" ]

[ "Is there a spell that could make someone breath perfectly fine under water?" ]

[ "Why doesn't cellphones and other technological gadget functions inside of Hogwarts, or even inside the Wizarding World?" ]

[ ... ]

Many of which the older of the 2 have answers in, and some which he dodged. Wouldn't want to tell her now that he has a System engraved inside his head, that or reveal his golden finger to this child that is bright, yes, compared to her pears. But wouldn't want her to be burden with that knowledge.

And to their surprise, the long talk seems to fall short as they reach the spacious front door leading to the Great Hall; [ "O-oh, we're here..." ] A tinged of sadness could be heard in her voice, especially because she hasn't even gotten to half of her many-many questions.

Felix too, who's actively learning new ways to apply Magic is also sad; but he cough into his hands, telling her, [ "I guess we could continue our conversation in a later time." ]

This seems to make the younger dark skinned Witch who's sad, brim with joy in hearing it. As she then enters the Great Hall, going to her friend group who's talking to one another about Brooms.

Felix stayed behind, not rushing to go into the Great Hall as he first admires the scenery in front of him, and the noise that his Students are making inside the Great Hall.

The color of red, green, blue, and orange mixing one another, together as all of his 44 Hogwarts Students— sorted into their own respective and most fitting house.

That either be Gryffindor for the brave, Slytherin for the cunning, Hufflepuff for the hardworking, and Ravenclaw for the creative thinkers. All mingling with one another in their round wooden tables— chatting with one another, or even playing with spells, casting non-harmful ones on one another in a rotation.

He looked on closely and could see one even creating a colorful paper plane before then throwing it across the spacious but still crammed room. Hitting another person in the head which caused the child to look around, confused. He smiled in seeing this.

Personally because he knows who did the throwing, and who was hit by that controlled paper plane.

To be more precise, in the span of a single month he was able to memorize and get to know each and every single of the 44 Students he has inside this round down Hogwarts.

[ "P-professor!" ] He could hear one of his Students finally notice him, which caused the others to stop talking and look at the direction where their classmate is pointing her trembling finger at— at the violet-eyed man observing them.

Messy in appearance, ruffled brunette hair, dark circles under his eyes and suave looking clothes. It could only belong to one person, and that would be their one and only Professor of Magic and Headmaster of Hogwarts— Felix Harp.

He sights in seeing their fanatical but somewhat guilty look, like children getting their hands caught stealing from the cookie jar by their parents; but to Felix, he doesn't mind this chaos.

Just as long no one gets hurt, so he walked inside the Great Hall, his voice booming amongst the silent crowd. [ "I believe everyone here is hungry." ]

[ "Me also, so why shouldn't we have our feast?" ] Hearing this, the silent rows of Students that thought they are about to get punished, to jump up in the air and celebrate as loudly as they could.

It is true, all of them are hungry, and this declaration from their Headmaster is enough for them to be in a frenzy. [ "Okay children that's enough." ] Only stopping when they got told to.

Reluctantly sitting, as one of the kids holding a paper plane in one hand reluctantly did the same. Listening to their Professor speak, awaiting his announcement for dinner.

[ "Then let the feast, begin!" ]

His voice boomed all over the crowd, as exotic and tasty food appeared all-over in front of them all. This ranging from cooked dinosaur meat, to roasted extinct type of turkey, to yogurt... Just plain old delicious yogurt that Students could freely grab.

The food filled the tables, to the point that none would get hungry, or even fight over something at all due to it being in abundance. Exotic, delicious and weird-looking food that they have gotten accustomed to in eating for a month now.

[ "Dibs on that turkey leg." ]

[ "That shrimp mine folks." ]

[ "What's this?" ]

[ "Excuse me, Alfie, can you hand over that." ]

[ "Oh, sure." ]

Students could be seen sometimes pulling their Wand and casting Levitation Charm on the food, giving it to their Classmates plates before then stuffing their mouth with food.

It is the norm here, specially after they all learnt about the first-ever taught Levitation Charm. Something that proves useful no matter the situation they are in.

In the future thousands of Students would do this simultaneously, creating a cacophony of mess. But for now, it'll remain but a tradition that a handful of happy Students would uphold.

The smiles on their faces as they eat to their fill is opposite to what Felix is having, as he sat on the empty High Table that only has him— as the Headmaster and sole Professor of 44 magically gifted Students.

He doesn't worry about how to handle them, that's a hurdle that he have passed now. No, what he actually worries is about the fact that, everyone in here; his Students and everyone that they hold dear into would plausibly be met with danger.

Especially because he is living and connected to the notorious Detective Comics (DC) Universe wherein world ending problems easily arise, at least once a week. A practical requirement in this franchise that spans hundreds of years in development in.

Depending on the Universe in that Multiverse, it'll either be mild, to extinction level... Now more prominent with no Heroes stepping up the plate to solve the impending mess.

As far as Felix knows, he needs to get stronger and protect himself, his Students, and the world that he is now but a parasite of. If not, then everything he worked hard on, would disappear. Something which he doesn't want to happen no matter what.

Thankfully he has a cheat code, something that others call a golden finger. And one that they mostly have in common— a System engraved inside his head, making him stronger the more he goes.

[ TO GROW STRONGER, PLAYER MUST TEACH STUDENTS HOW TO WIELD MAGIC ]

To be precise, a System that gives him power the more he teaches his Students on how to be proper Wizards and Witches.

He embrace and love this work even though he gets nightmares with the questions that his Students are giving him. That's that.
