Somewhere outside of the universe.
Three beings can be seen leaning over a pool that seems to be displaying the Mechanic as he works on his machines. The first is a man with grey hair and a beard, who could be mistaken for Zeus due to these features, as well as his muscular build. The second is a woman with crimson hair and soft features, who looks at the pond with affection. Then, the third being, also a woman, has hair as black as the void itself, her features revealing a look of worry.
The man is first to speak, "he is doing rather well for a mortal. I thought your idea of sending him there would backfire, but he seems to be adapting well. Still, why send him there? He had already died; his soul was yours. Time, why risk it, sending him there?" Time looks at him before speaking. " I couldn't tell you before, but this is all necessary. Just as your avatars exist, so do mine. The only ending that ends well for everyone is if he meets my avatar first. Speaking of which, I apologise to you, Void. He is one of your children, but his soul was created as my equal. You know that only happens once".
The final of the three, a woman, also known as Void, the oldest of the three, looks at Time before speaking, "I know it's why I have not intervened despite his soul being born from me, one of the rare few. My children are rare. If the other found out that the Equal of time was one of mine, they would not be happy. What's more surprising for me is that the essence of the void in him took the form of mechanical force. It goes to show just how much the kid loves creating things".
Hearing what time said, the old man speaks, "Very true void, although it's expected that all things started from the void. It holds unlimited potential to be anything else, which is why the others fear your children, and I have no intention of divulging his origin; it goes against my nature as Life. That and I want to see if he can change fate for The Doctor".
Time looks at Life and nods, although in her case, it's because The Doctor is one of her children, a soul born from her. More precisely, the last soul. One that she did everything to save, though she had not thought to look at the consequences of saving the Doctor at the time, and the fact that the very woman who found him would use him to give herself and her people the Doctor's gift of regeneration. Unfortunately, she was unable to stop it. She can't intervene directly in the universe, and she had used a loophole to save the Doctor; that loophole won't happen again.
"I have seen the Doctor's future, it never ends well for him, he loses everyone he cares for every time, but I am powerless to do anything about it" life looks at Time " that makes me think why did you limit the Mechanics powers to a skill that's so vague" time looks at life with a sheepish smile " you noticed that huh, well I wanted him to be able to experience the show he loved so much, and for your information it's not exactly a limit I just made it so his powers will gradually grow. He can't experience anything if he can literally bend time to his will now, can he? It's his right as my Equal, my powers are his, just as much as they are mine".
Void is the first to speak after Time finished speaking "True enough I would have done the same if he had not done so himself subconsciously, otherwise his mechanical force would be more powerful than it currently is, compared to my other children it appears rather weak, so I did some investigating on it his soul put a growth limiter on itself limiting how much of the void it can use, although that limit will grow as he does".
Life looks at void in disbelief " your kidding right a mortal soul was able to limit itself, that should not be possible unless" Life's voice takes on an angry tone " please tell me that his soul is not what I think it is, Void" Void looks away sheepishly " Void do you realise what this could mean Creation will not be happy that he has a brother if he finds out".
Mechanic Pov
As I finish making adjustments to all the devices so they can work with the new power reactor, I hear the front door open and close. Not long later, I see Alice come in carrying four laptop boxes. As for why she is bringing them, I had asked her earlier while I was building the Reactor to get me some. I will need to cannibalise them to create a more powerful laptop that I can use to hack into the Archangel network project.
"Thanks, Alice, were you able to hear anything about Harold Saxon" after putting the boxes down she looks at me with conflict " yea there was news about him being assigned as the lead for the Archangel network, but are you sure he is one of you he does not give of the same vibe as you he seems rather approachable while you give of the aura of a noble someone you don't want to offend" I chuckle at how she perceives me I never saw the battlefield directly so unlike most of the time lords I did not lose the aura of a noble like the rest, hell even the Doctor was effected by the war, the only time I saw the battle face to face was when the facility I was in was attacked but I survived that the sole survivor of the entire facility thanks to the Dalek in Van Statten's museum self-destructing.
"I know it's him, so stop expressing your doubt; if left unchecked, he would cause chaos. I know that there is someone who will fix it in the end. Still, I want to make things difficult for the Master because he is simply an ass at this point in time" Alice looks at me before speaking "What do you mean at this point in time" I look at her before simply borrowing Rivers words " spoilers, ok no really though where is the fun in me telling you what's going to happen it ruins things for companions like you when a time lord literally tells you everything. It makes travelling with us less fun".
Alice rolls her eyes at my words but says nothing more. Seeing that she has nothing more to say, I get to work on disassembling the four laptops, all different models, of course. After gathering everything I need from the four laptops, I start building a laptop that surpasses everything currently available.
It only takes me an hour to finish after plugging the laptop into the pillar using the power from the reactor I made. I boot up the laptop; luckily, I had used one of the storage drives on the laptops that come preloaded with Windows, saving me a lot of trouble.
Once the laptop is on I connected it to the Wi-Fi before I open the browser, unfortunately is the default one, I would have instead use chrome or fire fox but I need to start fucking with the Archangel network before the master has time to create some central defence for the project, he has more experience with human tech even if we include my last like he is like 900 years old, so best to start as fast as possible the best part about doing now and not earlier is that the cloaking device does not just mask the location from being seen it also effects ip addresses making it impossible to trace. However, none of what I made for this can be considered my best work.
I would feel guilty if I relied on Ada to provide me with the best components. That's not the case, and it's rather fun trying to use subpar components to build stuff; it also allows me to test my current capabilities.
I locate what I am looking for: the company behind the Archangel network. The funny thing is, it's literally the same name as the project, although it's never mentioned in the episode. It would have been better for the master to use an actual company, such as O2 or Vodafone, but instead, it creates one using the same name as the project.
After identifying my target, I look for the names of the people on the project, because even the Master would utilise humans; it's the best way to get back at the doctor, using the race he spent most of his life saving against themselves. It's actually quite amusing; those people have no idea that they are helping to build the very satellites that will be used to elect the Master as Prime Minister.
He is also using them because he is probably cannibalising the Doctor's TARDIS to make his paradox machine. He knows he is on a time crunch, since the Doctor could appear at any moment. Not only that, but the Humans of the future seem pretty impatient, wanting the Master to hurry up with the Paradox machine, so there's that.
After finding an individual who would handle the software, I created a false email and sent it to them. Of course, the email will be from Harold Saxon, but it will contain a program. The moment they open the email, I will have a way in that is undetectable from there, and I can implement my code into the satellites.
It does not take long for the email to be opened. The moment I gain access, I create a backdoor, meaning I no longer need to use the email method every time I want to perform an action. I also do the same to the software that I identify as for the satellites, like who in their right mind would store something that important on a computer with Wi-Fi access? It's a miracle mobile companies didn't hack them to obtain the code for the Archangel network.
With my way into the satellites dealt with, I take time to relax, engaging in conversation with Alice and reviewing my skills in the system to see any improvements.

Allows one to send their Mechanical Force to check a machine's condition or the condition of specific components.
All intelligent Machines have a high favourable Opinion of the user.

The owner of this ability only exists in the present of time, this does not mean the owner disappears from the past it means that two of the owner cannot exist, This means that there is no future self as his timeline follows him directly, allowing for direct influence over the events of the future as if they have never happened, or change events that must occur ( note that changing events that must happen need to be changed to have something of equivalent size happen in its place to maintain the balance of time.)

At level 1 allows the user to learn skills by seeing it being used it while also allowing for easier learning of knowledge or self learnt skills also provides for the use of skills the users stats do not meet the requirements for, however after using this function it will leave the user in a weakened state depending on their race(note for a time lord due to the unique regeneration properties will only be weakened for 2 seconds at most)
Looking at my skills, from the last time I checked, the improvement was decent, not groundbreaking, but gaining six levels in two skills was a notable improvement. Unfortunately, the coding skills level has no relation to how adaptable you are at coding, but rather to the number of coding methods you know.
