Chapter 1 - frozen peace

Blooming flowers of darkness, loud screeching chaos seeping away quickly, insignificant woahs of the lesser ideas for which the superior beings are unable to understand, freezing outwards, pushing away the darkness and its associated cacophony in a slow, gentle ripple motion, soft, nice blue lilies grew from the clear paradise, only to be lost in the ripple pushed away and fusing with the darkness, everything leaving except for a small white box. A shaky hand placed on the box opens it slowly before being engulfed in the light skin, bone, and blood burning away in the light's purity.

Akane wakes up her face and chest, burning just enough for it to be noticeable. She stands up shaken, her feet sinking into the dirt floor as she examines the familiar surroundings, stopping only when her gaze lands on the sleeping form of Ketsuyuki. Her slow breathing is almost calming as Akane then notices the destroyed state of the room. Akane sighed, clearly annoyed, before assuming a calm expression and brushed Ketsuyuki's head with her hand, her fingers intangling in Ketsuyuki's short, predominantly white hair, almost forcing her to smirk. "Wake up, Hinnokawa," Akane said fondly. Ketsuyuki's ear twitched in response as she slowly stirred awake, her eyes opening slightly before she jumped up, assuming a very formal stance. "Yeah, Miss Archambeau," Ketsuyuki said as Akane rolled her eyes. Ketsuyuki's stance became progressively less confident as her eyes traced Akane's face. "You're always a bit extra, but that's a bit much for you," Akane said while holding a small mirror up. "Ah, I see now," Akane said calmly. Akane tossed her broken glasses aside and looked at her scars before she changed her multicolored hair to a ponytail and a leftward peek-a-boo bang to hide a few of the scars. Her memories slowly resurfacing of the encounter, she gave an annoyed glance as she slid her sword into its holder as Reina's yelling could very clearly be heard outside instructing the packing for the return trip to Amara.Ketsuyuki looking confused as Akane left.

Akane walked to Reina, being met with a hostile glare at first before it switched to become more calm with a passive-aggressive undertone. "What do you want, madame?" Reina said sarcastically, not taking even a second to look up from the book in her hand. "It'd be a shame if you died before your history ptoject was completed." Akane retorted in a unreasonably annoyed manner, Reina's eyes darting up lazily to Akane as she said, "I'd like to see you try. At any rate, everything should be ready about now." Reina said the unproportionate-looking fancy axe on her back was becoming harder for Akane to dismiss as Ketsuyuki stumbled out of the tent eagarly, inquiring as to what she may have missed. "Nothing important," Akane said, moving to Pet Ketsuyuki's head as she normally does when wanting her not to acknowledge something. Ketsuyuki reluctantly accepted the gesture before pointing out that Reina and the rest were leaving.

They made it to the barrier in what felt like no time at all. As they arrived, Akane's eyes were glued to the permanently star-filled sky before shifting her gaze down to study the nearly transparent patterns present on the barrier of avarice. "I ask that you hurry up. I haven't the time for your eccentricities," Reina stated as Akane delivered an annoyed glance. "I see. I apologize for my ignorance to your hurry," Akane stated politely while plunging her sword into the barrier. It shook and crumbled the seemingly heavy chunks of the barrier, dissappearing as they hit the ground a loud, rocky, crumbling noise surrounding them, like not only the barrier but also the ground." Fell...into a deep descent they plummeted.
