Chapter 36 - Chapter Thirty-Five: Line In The Sand (마지노선)

Lee Min-ho's POV (Point Of View)

It was P.E and I got ready in the boys' locker room. Taemin stood next to me, talking to Jaehyun and Dae.

When he noticed that I was standing next to him, he turned to me with a smile. "Hey, Kim Min-ho. Please would you tell your fiancée to stop terrorising my friend. It's getting really annoying," he said with his arms crossed.

"Why don't you tell her yourself? After all, you're her brother," I said while placing my school uniform in my locker.

I heard Jaehyun chuckle, "Why should he? The reason why Arin is acting this crazy is because of you. So why don't you tell her to stop bullying Ji-seo?" Jaehyun said with a raised brow.

"I also agree with Jaehyun," Dae said quietly. I glanced at him, "Okay, I will," I said before shutting my locker.

"He probably won't do it. You know how he's a bystander when he sees people getting bullied," Taemin said, giving me a dark grin. I knew what he was referring to, but hearing those words come from his mouth, I couldn't help but wonder if I had defended him when he got bullied back when we were little, would we still be friends?

Now he has friends and looks happy, even changed his bullying ways, while I, being a bystander, have no friends. To be honest, I miss him. I miss when we were still friends.

I glanced at him, "Don't worry, I'll tell Arin." Then I walked out of the locker room. I arrived at the Gymnasium and saw Ji-seo chatting with Ha-ri. But she had a pair of eyes glaring at her. Arin.

I rolled my eyes and walked to her. She didn't even notice me approaching her because she had her eyes fixed on Ji-seo.

Chaeyoung nudged Arin with her elbow when she saw me approaching them. I stood next to Arin with a cold expression, "Do you love me?" I asked.

She turned to me shyly before nodding her head, "Yes, I do." "Really? Because there's a saying that when you stare at a person you love, everything around you becomes a blur. But I was walking to you, and you had your eyes on Ji-seo. It seems like you love her because she can't leave your mind." I said, staring at Ji-seo, who didn't notice that we were talking about her.

Arin gasped, "Why does everyone keep telling me that?!" She yelled, which grabbed everyone's attention.

"Well, maybe it's because they realise how obsessed you are with her. You can't seem to get her out of your mind. It's always Ji-seo this, Ji-seo that," Chaeyoung stated and got a glare from Arin.

"I don't love her! Why would I?!" Arin said with disgust. I raised a brow, "Wow, so you're this close-minded." I said, shaking my head. She turned to me in shock, "Wait, no, I was just saying that, why would I be in love with her when I am in love with you?"

"That reminds me," I said before turning to her, "Stay out of trouble. If you do one more bad thing, you'll get expelled, and most importantly, I'll call off our engagement." I warned.

She bent her head low, "What did I do wrong? I just don't want someone to touch or get close to my property." She said, her head still bent.

"Your property? Do I look like an object?" I said, not liking Arin's choice of words. She quickly raised her head, "No, I was just saying-"

"Just do what I asked you to do," I said, cutting her off. I walked away from them and sat on the bleachers.

Lee Ji-seo's POV (Point Of View)

The instructor called us over and told us we were going to play basketball. Everyone groaned at his words. He told the girls to go up first, and I was in Ha-ri's team, so was Chaeyoung. Someone didn't look too pleased with that arrangement.

Arin glared at me before rolling her eyes. The game started, and Ha-ri's team scored first. Then we scored again, and again, and Arin got fed up and turned to her teammates.

"Can't you guys just put the damn ball in the basket? How difficult is that?!" She yelled. They looked at her in anger, "You're the one who keeps chasing after anyone from your team who is holding the ball. Have you forgotten that we are in your team?" One of them spoke up.

Arin's face turned to anger, "What did you say?" Then the instructor blew his whistle, "Hey! You guys should stop that and focus on the match!" He yelled at them.

Arin huffed and focused on the game. Soon, the ball got into Chaeyoung's hands, and she bounced it happily. Then she got cornered by Arin, "Chaeyoung, good job. Give me the ball." Arin said, trying to take the ball from her.

I rolled my eyes and went to the farthest side of the court and put my hands up, "Chaeyoung! Pass it to me!!" I yelled. She looked up to me and threw the ball in my direction, and luckily, I grabbed the ball and scored a point for Ha-ri's team.

We squealed in delight, "Nice one, Angry Bird!" Taemin yelled from the bleachers. Ha-ri ran up to me, "That was amazing, Ji-seo." Then the other girls on our team ran up to me, "That was so crazy." They all said in amazement.

"Well, we couldn't have done it without Chaeyoung's crazy passing-" I was cut off when I heard a loud slap. We turned in the direction of the slap, and we saw Chaeyoung looking like she was about to cry with her palm on her left cheek, and Arin looking at her in anger.

"Why did you pass it to her after I told you to give it to me?!" She yelled in Chaeyoung's face. Chaeyoung, still holding her cheek, looked up to Arin, "I am so sick of you! What's your problem?!"

I walked up to them and pulled Chaeyoung behind me, "Stay out of this. This is none of your concern." Arin said firmly.

"This is my concern because I want to know why you slapped my teammate," I said, glaring at Arin in anger.

"She's my best friend, you have no right to interfere in our matters!" Arin yelled before she was cut off by Chaeyoung.

"No! I'm not your friend anymore!! I am so sick of you. I have tolerated your behaviour for long enough. I thought you were going to change, but I guess I was wrong. I hope you know how selfish and arrogant you are." Chaeyoung yelled before walking away, then she came back and struck Arin across the face.

"That was for slapping me, and this," she said before slapping Arin again, leaving everyone in the gymnasium in utter shock, "Is for you being a terrible person," she said before walking out of the gymnasium.

I looked back at Arin, giving her a look of disapproval before taking an excuse from our P.E teacher and going after her with Ha-ri following behind.

Min Taemin's POV (Point Of View)

I stared at Ji-seo and Ha-ri as they left the gymnasium to go after Chaeyoung. "That bitch just slapped me!!" Arin yelled in disbelief.

I stared at her in disbelief, "This girl can't be for real right now." I turned to Min-ho, who was staring at Arin coldly, "Don't you think your fiancée is being a bitch right now? I thought you said you were going to warn her?" I asked with a raised brow.

Min-ho, without saying anything, got up and walked over to our P.E teacher. "Is there a way we can end this class now?" He asked. Our P.E teacher, who was still in a daze over what just happened, turned to Min-ho and nodded his head.

Min-ho bowed and turned to the rest of the class, "Class is over, everyone. Please go back to class. There was a disruption in our lesson, so we had to cut our lesson short," Min-ho said, looking at Arin coldly.

Everyone groaned, looking at Arin in anger. I guess they started enjoying the class, but she ruined it for them.

Arin rolled her eyes and walked out of the gymnasium. "I guess I have to do things myself," I said, shaking my head.

"What are you going to do?" Dae asked. Jaehun turned to me with curiosity, waiting for the next words that were going to fly out of my mouth.

"I'm going to have to tell my dad about Arin's attitude in school," I said, folding my arms. "Is that going to work?" Dae asked with a raised brow.

Jaehyun snorted, "Of course not. I doubt he is going to listen to you." I turned to him in annoyance, "Well, we don't know if I don't try."

"That's true," Dae said with a nod, "Well, good luck."
