Jeon Arin POV (Point Of View)
I sat in the cafeteria, waiting for Chaeyoung, "Where is she? That girl shouldn't keep me waiting." I grumbled. A few minutes later, I saw her entering the cafeteria, and she went to the food section and got a tray of food for herself.
She then walked up to me. "What took you so long? I had been waiting for you for so long and now..." I trailed off as she stared ahead and walked past me.
I narrowed my brows in confusion and got up in anger, "Hey, Park Chaeyoung!" I yelled.
She walked ahead, acting like I didn't just yell her name. She walked to an empty table and sat down.
Everyone stared at her in shock and confusion, probably wondering why she ignored me. I nodded my head, then sat down in anger, "Is she still mad about the slap? Gosh, she's so dramatic," I said, before rolling my eyes.
'She'll cheer up before school ends, I'm sure of that,' I said inwardly, before I began eating.
Lee Ji-seo's POV (Point Of View)
We all stared at Arin, and Taemin let out a chuckle, "I bet she's not going to apologise." Ha-ri nodded her head, "Yeah, I bet she's currently blaming Chaeyoung for being upset about the slap."
I stayed silent, staring at Arin, who was currently scrolling through her phone. Then I glanced over to Chaeyoung, who was quietly eating. She noticed me staring and smiled at me.
"Would you like to join us over here?" I mouthed. She shook her head with a smile, "Bad idea," she mouthed back. I chuckled and looked over to Arin and saw her glaring at me.
I rolled my eyes and picked up my chopsticks, and made an action, lifting the chopsticks close to my eyes, as if I was about to poke my eyes with them, then pointed them back at her with a fierce look on my face.
I think she got the message and looked back at her tray of food. I heard Jaehyun chuckle, and I quickly glanced at him with a raised brow, "What?"
"Oh, nothing. You're quite scary. I bet Arin probably peed on herself," he said with a laugh. I shook my head with a smile.
Lunch was over, and we went back to class. "How's she going to ignore Arin when they are seat partners?" Dae whispered so only Ha-ri and I could hear.
Ha-ri and I shared a look. Dae was right. It would be difficult for Chaeyoung to avoid Arin, and even if she tried, Arin would likely irritate her into speaking to her.
Third Person's POV (Point Of View)
Chaeyoung stared at her desk with uncertainty, wondering how she would keep avoiding Arin at this rate. Arin sat in her seat, waiting for Chaeyoung to take a seat. "Are you going to take your seat or do you still want to behave immaturely?"
Chaeyoung rolled her eyes, 'I guess I have to manage until I get out of this school,' she said inwardly, before making her way to the seat, until someone blocked her way.
"Go over to my seat," Min-ho said, before making way for her. She nodded her head and said a quick thank you.
Arin huffed, watching her walk over to Min-ho's seat and sit down. Min-ho, without saying anything, sat down in Chaeyoung's seat and brought out his phone from his pocket to avoid engaging in any conversation with her.
"Why did you tell her to go and sit at your desk?" Arin asked. Min-ho scrolled through his phone, ignoring her. Arin rolled her eyes in frustration, "I'm asking you a question."
Min-ho looked up from his phone in annoyance, "What's your business with her?" "She's my best friend. Of course, it's my business," she said, sounding irritated.
Min-ho scoffed, "Best friend? With a best friend like you, who would need an enemy?" He said before resting his head on the desk, signifying that he didn't want to engage in a conversation with her.
Arin rolled her eyes at his behaviour, 'Chaeyoung is too predictable. She'll crawl back to me and apologise for ignoring me.'
Jeon Arin's POV (Point Of View)
After school, I waited for Chaeyoung next to her locker. I saw her approaching with Ji-seo, and Ha-ri, and that's when I finally understood.
"Oh, now I know why you were ignoring me, you were too busy with your new friend," I scoffed. Chaeyoung rolled her eyes at my words, and my mouth opened in shock at her action.
"I was almost surprised that you realised your mistake, but I was so mistaken," Ji-seo said, shaking her head. I glared at Ji-seo, "Stay out of this!" I yelled.
"ARIN!" Chaeyoung yelled. Her eyes began watering with tears, and the sight made me roll my eyes, "Oh, what's this now? Are you seriously crying because I yelled at your new friend?"
"Just an apology. You can't even do that!" She yelled. I stared at her with a raised brow, "Apologise? Why should I apologise? You also slapped me, so that makes us even. You even slapped me twice!" I yelled back.
She scoffed, "If anything, those slaps weren't enough. You are the most selfish, self-centred person I have ever met! I am so sick and tired of tolerating your bullshit! I stayed with you, thinking you would change, at least for me, but I was so wrong. Don't you ever think we are friends, cause we aren't. I think you didn't get the memo from the slaps I gave you earlier."
She walked past me, but I held her back, "You'd better think twice before making this stupid decision." She looked down at my hand, which was gripping her wrist tightly, then looked at me with a glare, and I couldn't help but notice how the brightness and affection that were always gleaming in her eyes had gone.
"Let me go," she said, glaring hardly at me. When she noticed I wasn't going to let go, she forcefully removed her wrist from my grip. She walked off with Ji-seo, Ha-ri, Dae, Jaehyun, and Taemin following after her.
Taemin paused, "Now that Chaeyoung has left you, you'll be shocked to know how lonely you are," he said with a grin before walking off. I screamed and stomped my foot in anger.
The students around us stared at me like I had grown an extra head. I noticed and turned to them, "Don't you guys have homes to go to?!"
They quickly walked away. I leaned on a locker, "Lee Ji-seo, I'll show you. Just you wait."
